I went here with my family last Thursday night (I was tired because of how late it was- we arrived at about 11:15). The Christmas cards that my wife ordered were ready in less than an hour. Good Deal: With tax, my wife was charged $30.23 for 40 glossy 5X7 photo cards. She saved $11.99 because of a promo code. She was a little dense, but the woman at the photo section tried her best to be helpful (what also stood out to me is that she looked like a goth princess). Anyway, the store and photo hours are currently 7 a.m.-Midnight (8 a.m.-10 p.m. on Christmas). The pharmacy hours are different (interestingly, the pharmacy will be open all day on Christmas). (I took a date here in the past. I was so bad on dates that even Hello Kitty said goodbye.) I rarely go to Walgreens, but I like the old-school charm that the locations possess. The prices here could be better overall, but there are always a number of items on sale. There's a large selection of candy here. My Necco Wafers were $1.29 (I was tempted to take advantage of it, but I passed on the 2 for $2 deal). My wife bought some pens for work (the section is small, but solid). They're cheap (10 for $2.99), but they work fine. (A weird woman was looking at the pens too. I was annoyed that she was in my wife's way because I knew for sure that she wasn't going to buy any.) There's a great selection of greeting cards. There's a decent selection of soft drinks and liquor. The book and magazine section is impressive despite being small (what there is to buy is good). Like at other locations, there's always a nice selection of seasonal items. A fair number of gift cards are sold here. The store is kept pretty clean. The shopping carts are small. You can barely fit a midget inside. The aisles could be a little wider. It can be easy for other shoppers to get in the way. Our cashier was friendly and fairly quick. The parking lot could be bigger. It was easy for us to find a spot because it was so late. The WORST Walgreens I've ever been to, and I've had all my prescriptions filled by Walgreens for 40 years. The consistently either overfill or under fill prescriptions. And if they under fill, but mislabel the bottle, they won't admit their mistake. I'm changing pharmacies even though this location is the most convenient for me. read more

I like that when they are getting rid of a product they price it at 75% off. The thing about Walgreens is that if I do not anything drug related or photo related, there really is not anything I need here. I will give them that I ordered my photos online and they were ready in 30 minutes! read more

This place usually has what I need, plus it's conveniently located in walking distance from my house. Rite Aid is the nearest competition and although hosts an ice cream counter, Walgreens doesn't feel as depressing or as bleak. We once had our ink cartridge refilled here in under an hour. For some reason it wouldn't work on our printer so we brought it back for a refund. Surprisingly they let us keep the ink cartridge. How did they know we weren't just scamming them? At least they trust us. They also have a surprisingly good selection of photo albums without the trendy pre-sized digital photo pages. read more

Hey Walgreens, Please update your information to show that the pharmacy is closed between 1:30 and 2:30 on Sundays! I stood in line to pick up my auto refill order at 1:20. This customer in front on me at the counter throws a fit because her prescription has no refills. Bitches at the pharm tech for 10 mins on getting them to make an exception to no avail. When it's my turn, the pharmacy staff tells me they are closed for lunch and turn me away. Morons. Listen to your customers. I said I'm picking up an auto refill script and there was absolutely no reason for you to waste time with that lady about the no refill issue. Jesus! read more

I hate that you have to give atleast 1 star,this walgreens should receive 0 stars. My wife and I just moved to Hayward and we went in there to pick up a few things. The cashiers each time we went in there were rude. Managers didnt seem to care. To make a long story short my wife's debit card # was stolen and in a matter of 24 hours, $700 was charged. I'm yelping as I am still waiting at Walgreens to take a passport picture. I have literally been standing here for now going 20 mins for someone to take my picture. The staff keeps telling me someone is coming. I don't blame the associates they have been friendly and are apologetic for having me wait to find someone to take my picture. I like this Walgreens its really close to where i live which is even better. Its got a small parking lot in front unless you park on the side. Every single time I come to the pharmacy here I always encounter some sort of problem with my insurance. Every. Single. Time. I understand if it's my first time picking up but it hasn't been, for years. My insurance has been the same, solid one, thank god for that, but the pharmacy always has a problem with it, and if it's not that, it's an older Asian female pharmacist who gives me attitude and tries to avoid any question I ask her. I've called my insurance provider and the problem is not on their end. I don't fucking get it and I am fucking frustrated to the max. I had enough of it on my last trip, today, so much so that I asked for a manager. I talked to her, and she was nice and polite. But what I didn't understand was that she knew nothing about the way the pharmacy, in a building that she helps run, works and runs. Isn't that part of what a manager is supposed to know???? Every single aspect of the building???? I understand if it's a completely different entity but it's Walgreens' own pharmacy. I don't understand that place. This review is purely in reference to Grace-- the woman who tended the photography desk at the time I visited this Walgreens. I needed some passport photos and she helped me through the process efficiently and with kindness. While helping me, several other customers and coworkers asked for direction or advice. Grace responded to their queries seamlessly while still continuing to work on my request. For example she discussed my requests with me quickly and effectively and simultaneously checked a price for another customer. There wasn't the slightest break in our communication. Really impressive to watch her manage multiple spontaneous demands in such a brief period of time. Thank you. read more

The Walgreens Pharmacy Manager needs better training when it comes to "Customer Service" I walked into this Walgreens looking for medicine for my wife who was home sick. I was unsure which medicine to buy due to her symptoms, so I went over to the Pharmacy and asked the Pharmacist If he could help me to find medicine for my wife. The Pharmacist just stood there and recommended a certain medicine so I brought it to the Pharmacy and sure enough it was the wrong one but the right brand. , So I asked an associate for help. She helped me out the best way she possibly could. I took the medicine back to the Pharmacy and the Pharmacist said "no this is the wrong one also you need to go back and look on the shelf for the one I told you" The employees are not qualified to recommend any medicine to customers only I can. He said just stand back in line and I will help you find it. So I stood in line waiting for the Pharmacist to help me again but he took his time with the customer in front of me. (double checking the computer, double checking the receipt and have a nonwork conversation with the customer. I decided to leave and the Pharmacist at CVS walked out of the Pharmacy and showed me which one I needed. Walgreens: The professional way to help a customer (especially a pharmacy manager) with no customers at the Pharmacy is: Walk the customer to the Aisle (don't point or say what number the item is on) If the customer is clueless on where the item is (Show Them) Don't just stand there like a statue and expect the customer to find the item. This is called unprofessional customer service. Don't help other customers in line after a customer requested your assistance (That customer was there first not the customers behind them) The Asian Manager who worked there on October 3rd in the evening time between 5:pm and 8:00 pm needs to learn customer service. read more

This review is not for the store it's actually for the pharmacy. I left my dental office in excruciating pain and went to the pharmacy drive-through to turn in a prescription. I've never been to this pharmacy but I decided to go there since it was on my way to work. The lady that assisted me did not say hello good morning she just open the window pushed a little basket forward for me to put my prescription in information in and she close the window came back and said come back in 45Minutes. I then said I will wait in the parking lot because I'm in a lot of pain is there any way possible to speed up the process and she said "no"slammed the window shut and walked away. I push the button for the phone and the pharmacist then came and said what do you need? And I said the lady was very rude to me right now I just wanted to ask a question she didn't have to slam the window in my face without asking is there anything else that she can help me with and the pharmacist just looked at me and said "well she told you it was going to be 45 minutes so come back in 45 minutes" and she to close the window and left. I drove off parked my car and then my phone rang and it was them telling me that my prescription was invalid and could not be processed because the triplicate was outdated. I called my dentist and she assured me that her prescription pads are up to date and they are definitely valid. So I drove over to the CVS located in target not too far from that Walgreens and not only are they very respectful but it took only 15 minutes for my prescription to be filled without a problem. I may have to make this my routine pharmacy because I go to Walmart and they are always messing up. read more

I needed passport photos. I remembered that my husband had gone last year to this location and had a decent quick turn around. So I called around 12 to double check before I piled the kiddos in the car. I was transferred several times and finally was connected to a tired sounding woman who told me she was on her lunch break. She mentioned that the machine was having issues and couldn't check on it. I said I'd call back. I did about an hour later (kids were asleep so I had time), and was transferred and placed on hold for over 10 minutes. I hung up, never was helped. Piled the kids in the car went and had to get the photos done twice because they were so blurry/low quality that I was worried the Visa processing center would deny my app. I did pay for them, but I think I'm going to take them back. I ended up going over to Office Depot down the same store front, and got much better crisp clear pictures for cheaper. Though, one other note, Costco has better photos then either place and for half the cost and they also give you 4 pix rather than only 2. read more

I went in to have some pictures on my phone printed and at first a guy was helping me, but, he couldn't get my phone to connect to their machine. So he called Grace C. to help me. She took control of my phone and got it to connect and print up 8 of the pictures but there was a total of 13 that I needed printed. So she said it would be so much easier if I had their app. I told her I did have it. So she went to the app and in about 5 minutes I had the rest of my pictures. It's so easy when you have the application you don't even have to connect your phone to their machine you just have to press a few buttons and Wallah you have your pictures. Grace was such a help and she stayed with me all through it and it took about 45 minutes because the pictures were in a different place and instead of gallery and it was hard to get them to download onto the machine and everything she was very pleasant and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have an LG phone and she knew exactly what to do. Walgreens you did a good job in hiring her please keep her and I'll look for her every time I come in. I feel like that day I made a new friend. She really put me at ease and I just can't say enough about her. I wish everybody at all the other stores I got you was as helpful in as pleasant as she was.
