They hang up on you without even helping you. You wait on hold for 20 minutes for them to pick up and hang up. How is that legal?

This is by far the worst pharmacy out there. Please - use a different location or pharmacy altogether. Need to talk to pharmacist? Prepare to be hung up on numerous times when being put on hold. If you do get them, they will tell you to come and pick up an Rx by a given time, and when you show up, they tell you to come back hours later. I travel all the time, and I kid you not, if you need a refill a day early, they tell you to change your flight rather than understanding your needs. I do not know how Walgreens corporate tolerates this place. Also, their counts for meds have been off more than once - I am guessing this is a serious legal compliance and insurance issue. read more

Hi Walgreens, Quite a few years ago , some Walgreen family members were clients of mine! Kind , serious and organized people ! What happened to your pharmacy business practices.... Walgreen family? Walgreens at the 1403 Waukegan Rd location, has been beyond unreliable to deliver prescriptions in a timely manner or loose your prescription in their system. The new pharmacy employees , are put behind the pick - up counter without proper training, not knowing their system with many problems for their own loyal older customers . Example, we don't have your prescription, have your physician call it in, while it's in their system already. My physician was irritated, thought I was the problem. Now he knows there are many operational issues at your pharmacy department at that location , due to him having to call it in again and again after turning in the prescription. This has happened frequently and they claim to have supply shortages too- share meds between different locations. When we finally were able to pick -up the script we were lied to again. Your wonderful brand name Walgreens is going down hill fast. A "former" great American company falling apart due to mismanagement at that particular location . read more

The pharmacy gets worse every year. Wait times for prescriptions are several days when ordered online. Ordering scrips over the phone is next to impossible and trying to speak with a person will give you a 20 min hold time and then the call will disconnect! read more

Pharmacists never take call. They will keep you on hold for 25 mins. Have an assist pick up to put you on hold again for 15 more mins. Terrible customer service. They definitely need more help or a different way to navigate when they are extremely busy. read more

To my surprise these people have gotten even worse. Now the pharmacy staff can hardly speak english and i honestly FEEL BAD for them bc its clear they have absolutely ZERO IDEA what is going on. They are clueless and useless and slowwww Literally one of the worst businesses in existence. read more

Walgreens on Waukegan and Lake Avenue in Glenview is the worst Walgreens I have ever encountered. When you call, it often takes 30 minutes or more before anyone answers. After waiting, an automated machine picks up and puts you on hold again. Hardly anyone ever picks up the phone. I have tried numerous times to order a prescription refill, but when I go to pick it up, they haven't called my doctor to refill my prescriptions. I spoke to one of the assistants about their poor service, but it seems to be worsening instead of improving. They deserve a zero-star! read more

This place has the worst pharmacy. The leadership here is laughable because no one seems to want to be working at this place. To start with the pharmacy: you will wait 15min with no one else in line because they are just talking in the back. I have had to yell to get someone's attention because no one seems to actually want to be working. I have tried calling on the phone I waited for 15min while they repeatedly put me on hold then eventually just hung up. My doctor sent a prescription over that their automated system said was ready but when we went to pick it up they have no record of it and basically blamed us. The male head pharmacist on 12/20/24 just ignored everything we were saying (that their abutted system says it's ready, the screen shot from my doctors order) and our request to report how their system was broken and losing customers. read more

This rating is for the pharmacy, not the rest of the store. The customer service is horrific. The local hospital sent over a prescription for me on May 22. This Walgreens never bothered to inform me that it was there. It's June 7. I had to wait about five minutes for one of four people there to wait on me and I was the only one there. The clerk told me to get my Medicare card and I obliged. "D!" "D!" she said. Why do you assume everyone has part D? Maybe ask first? Then without looking at me, she directed me to the couch. It was eventually straightened out but I think I was there about 15 minutes to pick up a prescription, no advice, no apology. I'll direct all health providers to change my pharmacy location. And I suggest that Walgreens management consider an overhaul of the staff here. There's a lot of other complaints. read more

I don't know if they are severely understaffed but they don't answer their phones, they take hours and hours to fill RXs, drive thru line always closed, and they even screwed up my RX and gave me no explanation. First impressions- I would give 0 stars if possible. Understaffed. I signed up for a Covid booster online and I think it might take 90 minutes bc of their lack of employees. Walk ins are pushing me to the back of the line. So much for reserving a time online. Second impressions - my first impression was accurate. I have now waited an hour. Nobody has given me an estimate of how long it will take. their customer service strategy - "just take a seat among the many others who are waiting and we will expect you to sit there for hours, days, weeks or millennium. we will eventually give you some forms to fill out. Like others I would give this zero stars if possible. Had I come to Yelp first I would never have set up an appointment for a COVID test at this location. My job is very strict and I have one hour for lunch. Not one hour and a minutes. I got to my appointment 5 minutes early. This was the only time I could get there and back to get a test all week. My appointment was at 12:45pm. There was a long line of cars. By 1:20pm when I had to leave to get back to work on time, I was still behind 3 cars. A total waste of an hour. Do they honor their appointment times at all? From the other reviews it seems they don't. If negative stars were an option, I would certainly give Walgreens a ton of negative stars. Today, I practically had to verbally wrestle a tech to look for a refill I knew was there. When she actually looked and found it , she didn't tell me but just said my order would be ready in an hour and . half. I asked her if she found the prescription and she just continued to forge ahead w the 0icj up time as though I mystically understood. So odd, yet so common at Walgreens. Sometimes the staff is nice but still incompetent. The only ones who know are few and far between. And, they may not be nice or get off the comfy chair. I would give a zero rating for the pharmacy if I could, but the front register staff in the store is really good. The pharmacy is horrible. For years I went here and they were good. Now they are very understaffed and incredibly disorganized. Three times in a row my doctor has called and or faxed refills and they deny getting it. This time my dr has called AND faxed and the person at the register said the refill was denied while I looked at my drs email confirming the refill!! Today I called corporate about it and they said they would start a case number. I explained that I needed the pills now and not in a week. They said they could not call the individual store. What's worse, there is a complete lack of communication from the pharmacy about these delays. I was not notified that my prescriptions would be late, leaving me in a lurch when I went to pick them up. This lack of transparency and disregard for customers' time is unacceptable. Furthermore, trying to get through to the pharmacy by phone is a Herculean task. I'm consistently stuck in auto-attendant limbo on hold for an exorbitant amount of time. This makes it nearly impossible to get any information about my prescriptions or to address any concerns I might have. After arriving at the Walgreens this morning to pick-up my prescriptions that I refilled online 3 days ago, I was told that they "might" be available for pickup tomorrow. I have over 6 prescriptions that I refill every month, and it's the same thing every time! When I got home and called the CVS Pharmacy at Willow Festival in Northbrook and spoke to the pharmacist. He said that he would have all my prescriptions transferred over to from Walgreens to CVS and fulfilled within 3 hours. The service at Walgreens Pharmacy has been apalling. The consistent delays in filling prescriptions, lack of communication, and difficulty in reaching the pharmacy by phone are all indicative of a business that does not prioritize its customers' needs. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this pharmacy to think twice. Your health and peace of mind deserve better. read more

No problems with the store itself, but the pharmacy was extremely rude and unhelpful. When asking if I could get a flu shot, the pharmacist told me it would be a long wait. When I said that was fine, she put her hands up in the air, grunted, and walked away. Then her supervisor had to come over and say that they were too busy to be giving flu shots at that time. The most unhelpful pharmacy staff I've ever encountered. Somehow they swear they have not received a requested refill authorization, despite the doctor's office confirmation of authorization. Not only is it not their fault, according to the Walgreens staff, there is absolutely nothing they can do to assist. Blame and deflection only. Instructed me that the only option is for me to drive to the doctor and demand a physical copy of the prescription because they can't do anything. I'm leaving town tonight. At one time Walgreens would offer an emergency supply when there was an issue with a refill. Either there was a policy change or this staff is simply determined to be unhelpful. read more

I am from out of state and came to the area for surgery. I used this pharmacy for my prescriptions and was told to come back in two hours. I came back after two hours and was told to come back in an hour. I then noticed in my app that a script was missing so I called and they "found it" and told me to come in 30 minutes. I came back 45 minutes later, waited in line for 40 minutes more and the scripts still weren't ready. This is a disappointing experience and my surgical prep was thrown by the constant delays and misinformation. read more

Made on line appointment to get my COVID booster. Received email confirming it. Got there to find out that my on line form was not there. The Pharmacist was extremely rood. I had to complete the form again . I was asked to wait a few minutes it turned out to be over 28 minutes. I am a local resident. The pharmacist acted unprofessionally while asking him a simple question. Where I needed to go to check in. I recommend for you to go else where if you do want to be expose to this type of behavior from a very rood professional. I read other reviews and now can validate them. Walgreens management need to make some changes. I will take mine and my wife's prescriptions to a different pharmacy. read more

I stopped at Walgreens to pick up a prescription and noticed a line of Trader Joe shoppers snaking all the way around the entrance to this store. Most had masks. As I walked in to Walgreens, I saw other shoppers who also had masks. Interestingly, I notice the only people who weren't wearing masks were the Walgreens employees. As I walked to the pharmacy area, I expected those employees to be wearimg masks. I was surprised to find that none of them were. At this time when all of us are making an effort to keep ourselves, and others, safe... I find it disappointing that the pharmacy staff wasn't wearing any protection. Came by to buy hand sanitizer and a beverage. Total was $3.35. The clerk man asked if I wanted to use my points to help pay for the purchase. Yes in deed, I do. Total then was 35cents for two items. No other Walgreens has ever asked me that question. Guess what? This is my go to Walgreens even thou I live near Evanston, Illinois. Thank you clerk man, you made my Friday a little better. Ok so I've been with this Walgreens for 3 years! I feel each year their service just gets worse! I've been trying to get a hold of the pharmacy for half hour and all they do is put me on hold and hang up! I don't understand how you can treat your customers like this! You can NEVER get anyone to answer your call - or after being on hold for 45 minutes, they'll simply hang up on you. Never any sense of urgency or attempt to help you solve your problem. This is by far the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. We just moved from Arlington Heights to Glenview and used the Walgreens at Dundee and Arlington Heights Rd for years and never had an issue. I have been to the Glenview Walgreens several times and the service in the Pharmacy is horrible. I went thru the drive thru today to pick up a prescription. I waited at the window for 10 minutes. Several employees walked by the window and no one looked to see if anyone was waiting. I finally had to call the pharmacy to get someone to the drive up window to help me. I am definitely going to find a different Walgreens or change to CVS. read more

Terrible pharmacy service. Quality has become dismal over last 2 years. There is clearly no communication between techs/ pharmacists, and every subsequent interaction regarding the same issue (even when instructed to return after a specific time) has to begin from scratch. Ultimately no one makes any effort to solve the problem and no attempt to explain the issue is made. read more

Skip the Pharmacy. Partial fills, out of stock, and long wait (hour plus) to get a prescription filled. Also, don't bother scheduling a flu shot, the site accepts your desired time but the store has no way to honor it. read more
