This place is amazing! A family member of mine was recently diagnosed with liver disease and was prescribed a medication 500 mg that they're supposed to take three times a day. Anyways, the medication is extremely costly and my family member went to Target to get it filled but they said that they are unable to fill it because it's not covered by the insurance and that the my family member would have to pay $300.00 out of pocket for the medication. Next, my family member went to Walmart where they told her that she would have to pay $250 for the medication out of pocket because it's not covered by their insurance. Keep in mind, $300 is a lot to pay every month for medication so I remembered that there's an amazing discounted pharmacy on Devon. I called and asked to speak to a pharmacist. I spoke to Selma, she answered the phone very professionally, she spoke very clear and she was very concise. If she had to look something up, she let me know that she'll put me on a brief hold and she didn't keep me on hold for too long. She double checked the dosage twice and she told me that since the medication is not covered by insurance but that the best price they could offer us for out- of- pocket is $180. That's $70 cheaper than Walmart and $120 dollars cheaper than Target. You really couldn't beat their price even if you tried. I dropped off the script the next day (Saturday) and Selma informed me that she has to put in an order but that the medication should be available for pickup on Monday. The place was quiet for a Saturday afternoon but it was very clean. They have a small waiting area and there is street parking right in front of the pharmacy. There weren't many customers there and the ones who were waiting didn't wait long before they had to pick up their medications. This place reminded me of those friendly neighborhood pharmacies where they actually know they're clientele on a first name/ face basis. On Monday, I received a call that the medication was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was told that Selma was off for the day but Andy (another pharmacist) was able to explain the side effects of the medication and he explained how to take the medication. Once again, they are extremely efficient, they mean to get you in and out while also providing the best quality service. Also, this place is great because it caters to different cultures and languages. The languages offered by them vary from Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, Hindi, Urdu, Greek and Arabic. I would highly recommend checking this place out! read more
