Telephone service is abominable. Personal service is not much better. I agree with others who say these are the rudest people. I am leaving CVS in hopes that Amazon.com or Walmart.com offer better service than the unprofessional and unhelpful service these horrible people provide. The MOST UNprofessional , UN friendly and RUDE 3 employees in your whole CVS pharmacy world, work at 7139 Milwaukee Avenue , I'd guess. You need to address it. Was sent there from my pharmacy down the road, upon being assured that this pharmacy had my medication when I got there. NO such luck - the employees were super rude, questioning me why nobody from my pharmacy called or contacted them in advance - like it's my job to call them - Hah!. And Each one yelling and shooting nasty looks my way while yelling ! Is it MY responsibility as to who should call whom within your CVs store circles? If so, pay me to work there. So Then they made me wait, all the while the third employee asking how my pharmacy would even that their location had this medication. Of course, the second pharm tech - rudest of the three - miraculously had my medication after 20 minutes of my waiting , watching all three - she was super angry, stomping around - and didn't want to give me eye contact upon returning to register , but she said she found my medication that another patient returned - she claims when I asked her how she had it - and practically threw the medication on the counter. Thought she'd kill me ! Omg - who do you hire at that pharmacy? I AM most definitely complaining to corporate as I did to my pharmacy just now !!! I have always had a good experience with this store: the employees are nice and competent. I have only visited the pharmacy a few times (nothing special tbh) but the front counter people are very helpful. The gentleman this afternoon put together a quick pickup in a timely manner and dealt with my annoyance over some protein packed almonds (over the phone, my partner, G, picked it up) with patience and understanding - it was a masterclass in calm, collective customer service. He resolved the issue immediately and I want to give him a special shout out. CVS will always be a superior store for convenience and great prices, and this location is no exception. read more

It's a busy location because it's quite busy off of Milwaukee and Touhy is really busy too, so be careful. They share a parking lot with Starbucks so that's something to consider as well. The store itself is what you'd expect from CVS, spread out in a logical manner and the aisles are always stocked. The staff has been friendly and if I'm ever in the area, it's a pleasure to come here. I'm a real big fan of CVS, even when the coupon machine is not working. read more

I received a notification that my prescription was ready. I was on vacation so I clicked on link that gave an option to deliver. That link did not bring me to a page that gave any info on delivery. I called the pharmacy. After 6 minutes of automated menus someone picked up and said Cvs please hold and put me on hold before hearing my response. I then waited 30 minutes on hold with dead space on the other end with no one ever picking up. Such awful customer service for a health care outlet where people could actually need to talk someone. read more

It's your local convenient store and so you get the price of the easy of getting your products you need right away. Where else can you go in the neighborhood to get your best and common goods. People are really ice here and there is everything you need for your home goods outside of food. You have to go further away to pick up your things. Come here and help them out. read more

Pharmacy review These folks keep exceeding themselves with bad customer service. They repeatedly make the same mistakes with prescriptions. Their Point of sale system frequently malfunctions and the technicians dont understand it. It will leave you waiting at the register unable to opt to use a different card than your card on file. They repeatedly accept prescriptions from a Doctor when they dont have the medication, not informing me that they have a supply chain problem, until I have waited in line for 15 minutes. Note: this is even though my other pharmacy has the medication in question in stock, always. Frequently the technicians communication skills are sub par. Which just makes the mirad of problems that much more aggravating. If I didn't have my prescriptions here already, I never would use them. They got me like the lobster in the pot. They went from mediocre to absolute crap, and now I have to do a bunch of unnecessary rerouting of prescriptions just so I dont have to put up with this nonsense multiple tiles a month. Which brings up another issue, they cant seem to fill my reoccurring prescriptions each month without multiple trips. "Oh that's out of stock" "we need a renewal " etc etc. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

I just spent over an hour at this CVS waiting to get a COVID test at an appointment time I booked 3 days ago. You can't get a COVID test at CVS unless you are high risk or had an exposure. I had an exposure, so I scheduled a test. After getting to CVS 15 mins before my scheduled appointment time and then waiting an hour for the test today, the rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful pharmacist told me she couldn't give me a COVID test because their electronic medical records (EMR) system was down. While that would explain why results might be delayed, that does not explain why I couldn't get a COVID test today. The pharmacist simply refused to give me one. The pharmacist also angrily refused to reschedule me for a COVID test and basically just told me to leave. CVS and the pharmacist offered no resolution and basically told me to get F myself, despite me repeatedly informing them that I had a COVID exposure. Real professional and responsible. CVS is incompetent and irresponsible. DO NOT waste your time trying to get a COVID test from CVS, especially at the Niles Milwaukee Avenue location. read more

Went in to buy a few items and upon checkout, I am addressed by this guy who appeared to have and accent from India. He asks for personal phone number info, which I declined. (I find this quite annoying basically every where you go today to purchase items). He became insistent and again told him that I DECLINE!! He went ahead and told me the next time I shop there, you will be asked AGAIN-WTF! I responded and said there will not be a next time and if in fact there was, I would DECLINE again. I do not know who this guy thinks he is, however, his aggressive nature when asking for personal info from a customer is completely absurd. Manager there on Saturday November 28,2020 5:00 PM completely rude. Vitamins listed buy one get one free and did not ring up that way. When cashier called him over he said it doesn't start until tomorrow. I asked him why the signs are up and he said because that is what we do there are so many to do we can't do them tomorrow. That doesn't really make sense to me. I've worked in retail for many years and if there is a sign up then you honor what it says. Then he rudely asked me if I want to return the product. This review is for the pharmacy. What a freaking joke! I have never dealt with a pharmacy like this one and I am happy to be switching back to Walgreen's (I only used them because my old insurance made me). They are so unorganized and really don't have a clue as to what they are doing. I've come to pick up prescriptions only to realize they filled the wrong one and then I had to wait an hour and a half while they tried to call my doctor and get the right one filled. Yet they had the correct Rx in their hands!! The last straw was last night when I went to pick up a Rx for an injection. I got the Rx with no problems but they wouldn't give me any syringes!! How am I supposed to use an injection without syringes?!? Am I supposed to drink it? Ugh! So fed up with these incompetent morons! read more

Would like to give this big corporation a negative 1. They refused to deliver life saving meds to an 88 y/o because the credit card on file had expired. The balance was $3. Meantime they had no problem making $ on my mom for many years delivering her meds when the card was good. We will be going elsewhere & I suggest the same to all readers. Pharmacy took 5 tries to get my prescriptions right. The Pharmacists think they are doctors. Been taking the same meds for 10 years but these guys think they know everything. This CVS is a total joke. They fill prescriptions for generic that are not covered. The Brand name was covered and was 200.00 less per fill. These people are idiots and always want to contact the DR. Have to go here due to insurance that is not covered at Walgreens. If I could give them a -1 star or 0 i would. Don't go here if you do not absolutely have to! I've become such an old lady that I'm reviewing a CVS. Every weekend, I make a trip to Trader Joe's in Park Ridge. I've found that laundry detergent is pretty cheap / usually on sale at either CVS or Walgreens. So I happen to be stopping more frequently specifically at this location. It is always quiet, never crowded. Sometimes you just need a peaceful experience after a bunch of errands. I've always been pleased with this location and have never had any issues. read more

This CVS has what is quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They can't be bothered to be of actual assistance to pharmacy customers. I've been filling my prescriptions there for about a year and every time I go there the pharmacists are rude and slow. I'm not a regular at cvs but I found myself in the area with some time to spare and some necessities to buy. I was hoping for a quick in and out sort of shopping experience. What I found instead was anything but. There were close to ten people at the checkout line and the one cashier (where was everyone else?!) was arguing with a customer over whether or not she must bring her valued customer card for a discount. From my limited experience I've never ever needed to bring one into a cvs or Walgreens (they look you up with your phone number). However, that is besides the point, as a cashier, you ought to be mindful of the line and experience everyone is having at your store. I did not appreciate the arguing match she had with the customer that was paying nor her attitude with the rest of us regarding the rewards program. In fact I told her I did not have a card, did not want one, and I made a mental note to never come in here again. I'll drive the five minutes at worst to get to the nearest target or Walgreens. read more

Since moving this new neighborhood I was excited that we were close since I have some chronic health concerns I thought it would be convenient to be able to pick up scripts. I also figured with 3-5 visits a month some familiarity would grow between me and the pharmacy staff. So, so wrong. The customer service is bizarrely bad -- just nuts. In order to put a script on auto refill they need to be advised multiple times over the life of the script; if a script is expiring they won't call the doc unless specifically asked, if they don't have the product to fill a script you might have to wait a couple days for them to get it -- if you ask if it is at another store so you could get it there they always say "no ". And I have yet to start a conversation with a pharmacist that I could complete with that person - there is someone new there every day. I've asked if the manager of available more than once (day, night, weekends, etc) and am always told no. When I pointed out that they had given me three months supply of an expensive drug instead of the normal refill two different people argued with me until I just left.
