The utmost unprofessional staff I have ever encountered . Two nights in a row put me on hold for over 40 minutes. Never bothered to call back. I needed my pain medication, and they completely ignored my request. Put me on hold then disconnected. I tried the second night for another prescription and again, like knew it was me...put me on hold. The was Rosea and the pharmacist was Essie or Ezzie. I love this pharmacy. The pharmacists are excellent. And it's the only nearby 24 hr pharmacy near me. I do experience long wait times sometimes in store and drive-through, but to me it's worth it. A few times the pharmacists interceded on my behalf with problems with my insurance carrier to get the scripts filled. I realize the pharmacists and techs work hard, and are mostly on their feet working their shift. I know phone lines get tied up but it's not only due to customers calling, it's insurance carriers and practioners they have contact with. For 35+ years, only had ONE rude and incompetent tech that I encountered, and looks like she is gone. The head pharmacist is a gem. read more

Unbelievable incompetence! Waited two weeks for a prescription that I've taken for 38 years. I've been trying to contact the pharmacy and they can't seem to answer a phone. Absolutely horrible pharmacy. I was told to go to this pharmacy because it was a hub store. I called and was on hold for 15 minutes. They would pick up the phone and place it back on hold. It took me the same amount of time to drive to the location. I left my phone on hold as an approached the counter. I wanted to give a shout out to the Walgreens pharmacy on Talcott & Devon. This past Thursday evening, a doctor prescribed a C0v1d med for me, but the pharmacist noticed a potential drug interaction with another med I'm taking. She notified the doctor on call who confirmed that I should not have been prescribed that medication. When I called Walgreens today to thank her, she told me she was just doing her job. Customer service here is horrible. I always try to be patient and understanding but I have had enough. I have been trying to have a prescription filled for over two weeks. I have called and gone in person numerous times. When I call I am put on hold for over half an hour and then hung up on. In person, I am told I will be notified when the prescription comes in and I never hear anything. I have also had my doctor call in numerous times. I finally asked to speak to a manager which I never do. They put me on hold and no one ever answered of course. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. read more

Great customer service My new prescription of a generic drug list price is around $400 for 90 days. The best price I could find was $200. I discussed this at the Pharmacy consulting window. They suggested the W-Club for a better price for my drug. I joined for $20/year. The drug price is now $65. The pharmacists did this for me because I asked. read more

Wow. I had to write a review for this 24 hour pharmacy. --- -----service: pharmacist decides to talk to friend while I stand there waiting to be served to get my prescription filled. Another customer walks up next to me and then goes to the window where pharmacist is talking to a friend and then he asks her what she needs instead of serving me who was next ------friendliness. Asks me what my wife is being treated for I tell him and ask why is he asking. He turns away. I'd rather be treated with a laxative in aisle 9 right now. ++ knowledge: He is questioning if this is the correct script and why the doctor prescribed this and he explained why so I give him pluses for that. This has to be one of the worst Walgreens I've ever dealt with. They don't answer their phone at anytime of day. I tried to get a prescription refilled and there was an issue. I tried calling the store, national operator tried calling them, and no answer. I then tried to transfer my prescription to Osco. They would answer Osco's phone calls nor call them back after a message was left. There medications are much higher than surrounding pharmacies. I'm done. read more

I placed my order and paid for it at 6:00-ish pm. As of after 11:00pm, and after speaking with Nadine Daja, the manager at the 800 Talcott, Park Ridge Walgreens a couple of unproductive times, she told me that she had nothing to do with the "Door Dash order" that I placed EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE WALGREENS WEBSITE. My credit card was definitely charged at 6:00 PM (because I get notifications from Chase) but I still as of 11:11 PM September 2, 2022, I don't have my order. This is unacceptable. Period. I stop at this Walgreen's location fairly often... (I don't "check in" all the time because what's the point?). But today I have some time to burn so I "checked in" and I'm writing what's probably a redundant review... Whereas I agree this Walgreen's is busy and there's always a long wait in the checkout line, I really like they have the HEALTHARE CLINIC (once called the Take Care Clinic) for my seasonal flu vaccine or for when I have a sinus infection, or whatever... For me, it's easier and more convenient to get "seen" here than at my own physicians office. Once seen, get the prescription filled at the pharmacy so it's a one-stop deal. I also like Walgreen's for purchasing cards, snacks, and drinks because they offer lots of two-for special pricing... That's why I'll stop and endure the long wait in the checkout line... Perhaps someday, it would be nice, if they'll address that problem. read more

It's like they built a shiny new store but forgot to bring along all the processes, systems and knowledge from the old store with them. Of my last five prescriptions: Three were sent in by two different doctors - Walgreens didn't fill any of them until I followed up. A fourth was filled correctly. And my last straw was a prescription dropped off following surgery for pickup in an hour - it wasn't ready hours later that day so I went without until I could get back to the store a couple of days later. That's a 20% success rate, and that's my typical experience with this store. Also, when I was just there and asked about an email I'd received regarding a refill, the clerk said their customer notification systems don't talk to their in-store systems so he couldn't look it up. Huh? This may be a convenience store, but doesn't work well as a drug store. I'm switching to Mariano's. UPDATE - I have increased my rating from one start at three stars.
