Firstly, time and time again prescriptions called in for 2.5 hours are not ready for pickup [that long after its been called in- unaceptable!] Tonight my elderly parent was waiting for it for over 25 minutes after it was not ready for 2.5 hrs. She told the receptionist she was waiting. I decided to call the phone number and the pharmacist answers telling me they are still working on it and to come in 30 minutes!! I said my mom is waiting what is going on ! She said she had not been told she was waiting. Alot to be desired of this place and its lack of execution! The other day i went to pick up an urgent med for my parent and was told they did not have it available. I explained the urgency and suddenly they had it available. It never ends with this store's pharmacy. By far the worse pharmacy crew I have ever dealt with. This time it was with Emmanuel, the pharmacist on duty. So my father has dementia. I manage his medications and appointments. When the Wallgreens automated messaging system he cancelled notifications. He did not intend to do that but he does not understand what the system was telling him. I called to restore notifications. I had his birthdate to identify myself. And have been managing his meds with this store without issues. Including refills. Emmanuel refused to restore notifications to the phone number on file. He said he needed to see my medical power of attorney and there were legal issues. When is Wallgreens going to fire someone over this??????? They are making my job of caring for my father with dementia an absolute nightmare today. I intend to file yet another complaint with corporate. This time I will insist someone is fired over this. My father was in the hospital today and to fix this problem I had to drag him to the store rather than take him home. Because this manager refused to reactivate his notifications unless he spoke to him. Never mind that he has dementia. Never mind that he was in the hospital today. Nevermind that Emmanuel was misquoting HIPPA. Absolutely horrible customer service: Emmanuel, Noman the shift manager in the afternoon and Syeed the evening shift manager. They checked that I was authorized by asking me his birth date which I successfully verified. What else do I have to do to be my father's representative calling Wallgreen's when he is unable to speak on the phone? Call my attorney to put the POA on file with the store and Wallgreen's corporate on notice that a lawsuit is next? This whole crew should be canned. read more

5 stars for the pharmacy team! It's a long story, but normally my prescriptions are delivered to my house. Due to a change with one prescription, I needed to pick it up at Walgreens. My prescription was filled quickly, but it turns out there was an issue with my insurance. The pharmacist, Biren, was very patient and explained the issue to me. Unfortunately, my insurance wasn't going to cover the med for a few more days. I went back to the pharmacy today to pick up my medication and my insurance was being difficult again. I didn't catch the pharmacy tech's name, but she was kind and helpful. We were able to resolve the issue, but I'm so appreciative to the staff at Walgreens for being so kind and patient during the process. read more

I have to say I truly feel sorry for the seniors that don't understand how each medication is categized by different triers and how supposedly medications listed in trier 1 and 2 are not suppose to fall under the deductible for the donut hole...I was prescript an antibiotic (Cefpodoxime 200mg Tab-this is a generic drug for Vantin) which falls under a trier 2 - checked that information on the website for drug formularies...but when I went to pick up my medication, I was charged $19.00+ and when I asked why so much, I was told this falls under the donut hole deductible (person that stated that wasn't customer oriented). I tried to change my Medicare Part D provider but I had missed the 03/31/23 deadline, but I will come this year's enrollment period make sure to pick a provider that has a contract with Walmart (never had these problems with Walmart). They didn't even process the prescription I dropped off until the time they told me it would be ready... Then proceeded to tell me this isn't a normal prescription and asked what it's for over the speaker in the drive thru with a line behind me so EVERYONE could hear my illness and I need antibiotics for it and I proceeded to ask if she and the people behind me also needed the info on how I got said Illness. Maybe she was new and learning but LEARN TO RESPECT PATIENTS PRIVACY AND BE DISCREET not everyone wants to announce why they need medication and especially publicly like that. read more

Read all the reviews for this pharmacy. Horrible service. The pharmacist I dealt with is a direct result of being bitter about not being able to cut it in Medical School, and now they have to work for a company that feels they're the prescription police. All because a rich heir belonging to the family who runs this business had a drug problem. Bottom line. Take your business elsewhere. Bad medical students make even worse pharmacist. Pharmacy staff is EXTREMELY rude. I called ahead, was told the script for my 2 year old would be ready in 30 min. When I showed up 30 min later they told me there were 23 people in front of me?? Because I had never picked up from there in the past, I was incessantly told I was at the wrong pharmacy even though I was not. They put big smiles on their faces and speak so condescendingly. This Walgreens (as well as Duane Reade) is basically the same as any other. Same or similar layout, same basic decor, and probably too many of them - nearest one is not more than a mile away. Employees here are decent folks, never had a problem with them. But I can't comment much on their pharmacists, though my parents go here for their meds and they never had issues, otherwise I would hear more than a mouthful from them. Plenty of parking, and the pharmacy has a drive-thru for your convenience, and is located on the southwestern corner of Greenwood and Glenview roads. Definitely better on prices than the nearest 7-Eleven but doesn't run 24 hours which 7-Eleven does - I think the nearest one is on Greenwood and Ballard. read more

The worst pharmacy. I went there today and couldn't get my medicine because there aren't any pharmacists on duty. How can you consider yourself a drug store if you can't distribute medicine? "Manager", Steven , is ill equipped to be in his position. He lacks people skills, is offensive, and should have received training in dealing with the public. On December 15, I called to express my frustration about the inefficient "Drive Thru" pharmacy line policy which allows customers to wait in their cars while prescriptions are being prepared.. This holds up the process and inconveniences those who just wish to drop off or pick up. A "Drive Thru" should be efficient, provide convenience, and save time. This store misses the mark. While prescriptions are being prepared, customers should be told to wait off line, or to return in 15 minutes, as we have been asked to do when inside the store. This moves the line along, and everyone is serviced in a timely manner. After having waited 35 minutes in the "Drive Thru " line just to pick up a prescription, I called the store "Manager" , Steven. Without really allowing me to express my concerns sufficiently, he lectured me about becoming more patient in a post COVID world. Since I have never met this man, his remarks are presumptive and unfounded. He referred to me frequently and inappropriately as "Hun", which is condescending and offensive. (He did this to another reviewer too. ). He said that he had no control over the situation in the "Drive Thru" , and he was wasting his time talking to me as he had boxes to open and unpack in the back. He was rude, dismissive, and he proceeded to elevate his voice as he talked over me. He threatened me that he would hang up if I continued to try to talk. In a culminating act of ineptitude , "Manager" Steven slammed the phone down on me. He was obviously out of control. I suggest that Walgreens pay more attention before elevating associates to managerial status if their aptitudes only qualify them to unpack and open boxes in the back. A manager listens to and is able to communicate with customers without becoming overly emotional and flying off the handle. In this day and age, using overly familiar language with a customer/stranger is not acceptable and not business etiquette. Walgreens should be more selective. I am aware of other associates on site who would be better equipped to deal with the public than "Manager" Steven. Educate yourselves before hiring another unqualified person who can't control his emotions and doesn't have what it takes. read more

I've never had any problems at any Walgreens unlike the one here. Sent photos here to process since Wednesday and yesterday co worker went to pick up and they told her it wasn't completed because machine was broken. They told her today it would be done. Went today and was told it's not done because they are out of paper! Very disappointed because I needed the photos for work! Last week i have been this location. When i was in a line at the cashier in front of me, there was an lady who is 40s then the cashier whose name was Olga, serviced to her full of smile on her face and so happy. Then when it was my turn, she has even looked at me and didn't smile at once. I was so disappointed. Why she is so racist to her customers? Because i am Asian that's why she was like this. Actually someone who give same service and smile, that person can do the cashier, not the racist. I will never go there again. read more

Was on hold for a long time. Each time they picked up and said "Thanks for calling Walgreens please hold" and I was on hold for 20 minutes and heard this message 3 times before anyone helped. First, the people that work here and knowledgeable and helpful. The Pharmacy staff are efficient and caring. The store is always clean and organized. I'm a senior and been in stores that take one look and think, "Too old. won't be spending anything." Not so here. Everyone from the newest employee to the veterans that have been here for years, provide some of the best total customer service I've experienced in a store like this. They are not perfect, but then some of the customers are not perfect either. read more

My doctor put my prescription in. After 1 hour, I went to go pick it up and it still wasn't ready. It took them an extra 25 minutes to prepare a Z PACK! They can never prepare my prescriptions on time and because of this the line is always ridiculously long. Can't wait to transfer to CVS instead. read more

Went there this evening to pick up a prescription for my 2 year old daughter. They rang up a dog medication. I caught the mistake and the pharmacy tech and manager acted like it wasn't a big deal. Said they pulled the wrong medication what a joke. Imagine if I didn't check the label and had given it to my daughter. read more

Horrible experience!!! Trevor, Trevor, Trevor the pharmacist needs to be fired immediately! This is my very first yelp review so I am typically not a complainer. He gave my husband and I such attitude when we dropped off our prescriptions. With very strange, rude and uncalled for comments about the cost ( hello, we know. Do this monthly).We are a young interracial couple filling pretty simple prescriptions (acid reflux and high blood pressure meds) which we get monthly. I returned to pick up our prescriptions at exactly 5 ( pushing it, I know).There was a woman in front to me who walked in just before me. Somehow he was able to help her and give her her prescriptions then when I was my turn he refused to give me mine and proceeded to tell me to to take my business to a 24 hour pharmacy he could not help me! His colleague stood there with his mouth open as he talked to me with such rudeness. I even explained to him that I had to work tomorrow and my heart was fluttering. My feelings were so hurt by his tone that I couldn't even make any of the other purchases I needed to make. He Did not care told me to leave. If I hadn't seen him help the other woman or if he hadn't treated me so poorly when I dropped off prescription, I may not be as upset. I entered Walgreens with my best friend & her mother & 10 year old sister. Me & my friend went to the cosmetics and were trying the testers they had out. Never once did I or my friend walk away from a stand with the tester in our hands or anywhere else on us. We then proceeded to walk around the store, when my friend noticed that supervisor Steve was intently watching us, but we paid no mind to it. We met up with my friends mother and sister in the Halloween section. We were there picking out items minding our business when Lavontae walked up to us, where I was sitting on the floor looking at the lowest shelf, and just stared for a moment before proceeding to tell me that he "needs me to empty my sweatpants pockets because [him & Steve supposedly saw me putting an item from the cosmetics] in my pocket." When I got up &emptied my pockets which consisted of nothing, he then claimed that I could have hid the unknown item somewhere else on me, acting as if I had placed it somewhere inappropriate. I then proceeded to shake my clothes to show that I had nothing and asked to see the camera evidence that he talked about. Throughout this entire confrontation, he continued to repeat the same things over & over again & I felt belittled and humiliated. He kept threatening to call the police & said he could stop any transaction my friend and her family were planning to proceed with because they were "associated" with me. He also threatened to ban us from the store, before directing me to live "his" store. I then left and waited about 10 minutes for my friend and her family to come out. During the time they were in there, he was continuing to harass and threaten them while following them to check out. My friend's 10 year old sister was very frightened and shaken up by this encounter. I later told my parents & they called Walgreens and asked to speak to Lavontae in which he unprofessionally hung up on them once and didn't answer the phone a second time. My parents went to the store and informed him that they were going to file a complaint due to his unprofessionalism while handling something that wasn't a situation to begin with. He then mocked them and told them, in a very rude manner, to "file a complaint." Lavontae made me feel very attacked and uneasy in a store in which I visit often.
