I've had some issues with previous massage therapists not really wanting to touch me after discussing some of my body issues (srsly, if scoliosis freaks you out, maybe go back to school for a bit?), so I called Olga and we spent a ton of time on the phone discussing a number of issues I wanted worked on, how to approach them, and what I could expect. I knew after that phone call I found my happy massage place :) Olga's studio is on the second floor of a building in the heart of downtown Wilmette. It's bright, open, airy, and super welcoming. Also, since Olga offers facials, I saw a ton of awesome looking skincare that I can't wait to dig into on my next visit. I got a 60 minute therapeutic massage (which was truly 60 minutes), which can include anything from cupping, to deep tissue, to swedish massage, and man, did I get my butt kicked. I had no idea how ridiculously tight I had gotten, and how difficult it was for me to just relax. Olga worked on everything we had discussed, and at the end I was so impressed I bought a 5 pack (for only $475!), and am getting my husband in to see her asap. Yup, from now on Olga's massages are gonna be #1 when it comes to making sure my old butt gets the maintenance it needs.

I was there on time and they had a large sign right in front of the pharmacy that said to scan the QR code to check in for vaccine appointments. So I did that, and the instructions on the app said, "You're all checked in. Please take a seat and someone will call your name shortly." Or something almost exactly like that. I sat among other people in the waiting area for vaccines. We had all used the QR code as instructed on the sign, and then waited as instructed after we completed our online check in. Unfortunately, no one had told the staff about this process and it seems no staff members have read their own sign. They never called anyone's name and it turns out they expect you to ALSO get in line to answer the exact same two check in questions and only then will they call your name to get your vaccination. A completely inefficient and ineffective system. I mentioned that the sign could simply be moved to the back, out of sight, since it gave incorrect instructions, and was a moveable free standing sign. Two people told me, "I'll let them know..." But during the entire time I was there, the sign stayed in place. I was there for almost an hour to get my vaccine, despite being either the first, or one of the first vaccine appointments of the day. And there was also no line at the pharmacy when I walked in, so I could have easily stepped up to the counter to check in, had they not had a sign instructing me not to do so. On a positive note, the people I talked with were friendly and trying their best, it seems. But what a terrible system. Goodness. Go to CVS instead. My friend had an appointment at CVS around the same time and got in and out AND BACK HOME in under 15 minutes!

Super annoying because I never shop in store and their in store prices are like $2-$3 more than online prices, and their stock seems to always be out of a lot of the main things (not any one brand -- just uniformly out of everything). So frustrating. Now I'm stuck with a $10 giftcard I will likely never use even though I just placed a $50 order online. I'm going to have to return some items and then immediately repurchase them with the giftcard I guess. Also they don't seem to have makeup remover available anywhere, which makes it really messy when people are trying to use the testers. Not only do they get it all over themselves and can't remove it (I looked like I was bruised while trying to color match a concealer on my arm), but the products themselves get messy from people who have makeup all over their hands. Making some sort of makeup remover/cleanser available at the endcaps where there are tissues an Qtips would be helpful. The kleenex does nothing to remove product without some sort of cleanser, or at least some spray water.

The associate simply told us that they don't provide samples, without any explanation or effort to help. What made the experience worse was the attitude -- it felt rude and dismissive, and there was no apology or customer-focused service. I've visited other Nordstrom locations before and have always had great experiences with polite, professional, and attentive staff. That's why this visit was especially disappointing. Customer service is one of the reasons people choose to shop at Nordstrom, and unfortunately, this location did not meet those expectations. I hope management pays attention to the customer experience and provides additional training to ensure guests feel welcomed and respected.

All "kidding" aside, stop in and you'll want absolutely everything in the shop. I mean all of it...even sweet Megi--the queen bee who taught me a thing or two about beeswax candles. Did you know that burning 100% pure beeswax candles can purify the air quality and allergens in your house? Though I was in the store yesterday, I couldn't get myself to write a review until I had the chance to try some of the beyond amazing soap samples I received from Megi. I smell so good, and my skin feels pure and soft. I now understand the value of using quality products. Their specialty handmade soap is a goat milk and honey soap. Not only is the bar they make so pretty and artistic to look at, it smells so good you'll want to eat it. Their products are small batch, and I think Megi told me some of the soaps take six weeks to cure, but don't quote me on that. They also carry Savon De Marseille soap from France. Apparently you won't find this soap anywhere in the area. If you've passed by this shop a million times and always wanted to stop in, just do it. There is parking out front or across the street, and after you pick up some soap you can head up the street for a cup of coffee at Arriva Dolce. It's totally worth it. Whether you need a gift or want a personal scrub soap for yourself, you can find it here. After my nostril…read morecollapsed to one side, I was very self conscious about my appearance and having difficulty breathing. I was scared that it couldn't be fixed. Dr: Warner assured me that he could help. Whereas other surgeons were arrogant and short, Dr. Warner was humble and thorough. He was kind to everyone and very talkative when interacting with my family as well. The surgery went very well. Dr. Warner was kind enough to send flowers to my house and equip me with a special makeup palette to cover up bruising. I've never heard of any doctor adding those special touches (note: a friend of mine had a different procedure with Dr. Warner more recently than I and did not have anything sent to their home, so I'm not entirely sure if this is something his practice still does). Overall I would highly recommend Dr. Warner. Do not "chance" your rhinoplasty with a doctor that isn't highly skilled or trained in it. I learned this the hard way. Go with the best! Also, the doctor is cute.

Dr. Warner is a Fraud - Stay Away!…read more I want to warn everyone about my horrible experience with Dr. Warner. I have had three failed nose surgeries under his care. My nose is still crooked, I am still bleeding, and despite all his promises, there has been zero improvement. During the third surgery, he took cartilage from my rib, which resulted in a painful infection under my breast. Each time I saw him, he assured me things would get better, but instead, he kept injecting sterilizing injections into my nose--without any real solution. I finally told him that I would be suing him for his incompetence. Now, just because I spoke the truth, he suddenly refuses to see me. He feels threatened because he knows he has done wrong. That's fine--I'll see him in court. If you look at other reviews, you will see a pattern: botched surgeries, infections, and serious complications. He doesn't even wash his hands properly, which is why so many patients suffer from infections. His entire practice is a fraud, and he should not be allowed to operate on anyone. I strongly urge everyone to research his educational background before trusting him. If anyone wants to see proof of what he has done to my nose, feel free to reach out. Stay far away from Dr. Warner. He is a pure fraud.
