Pricing and return policies should be clear, and if something is mismarked the customer should always be given the price listed To add to the headache, the pharmacy at Walgreens is seriously short on staff. Big shout-out to the pharmacy techs--they're doing their best. But, with not enough pharmacists, low medication stock, and a flood of Covid vaccine appointments, it's a hot mess. Picture this: just one pharmacist juggling prescriptions and Covid shots. It's a recipe for chaos, making the whole pharmacy experience a bit of a wild ride. As a place to get soda pop, cookies and potato chips it is fine. But the pharmacy is in very bad shape. I use the Walgreens apps to keep track of my prescriptions. It kept telling me there was an issue with my prescription. But not what the issue was. So after 3 days I called the pharmacy. I was told that the issue was resolved and I could pick it up the next day. Next day I went to the pharmacy and was told it was out of stock and I could pick it up 2 days later. When I told the check out person what I was told on the phone, all that was said was, "oh' and then dropped. Their service is very bad. Their system does not work. One person on checkout and several people in the back while the check out lane kept getting longer and longer. The check out person asked those in the back for help but nobody came out. read more

Scheduled flu shots through app: got here on time...But prescription pick ups and the immunization lines are merged and looong) no sign indicating this), so everyone is waiting a really long time and it's moving very slowly. We get to the counter 25 mins later and they say that they don't make appointments, it's first come first served. What!? Then you have to wait around 10 mins for someone to register you since apparently "only one person is trained on how to do that", which consists of entering your (brief) form info, period. Then they come back and try to get me to register a second time, having apparently entered my information twice instead of entering my husband's and mine. They are short staffed, probably for Covid reasons, and we have been here for over half an hour now. So inept. I don't know if any other Walgreens that does it this way. Usually they have a sign in screen in the clinic area and you sign in and go and when they call your name. I would advise against coming to this Wags for an immunization shot, or plan to be here for a while. So we will skip the flu shot in favor of voting...what a ridiculous choice to have to make! read more

This is solely for pharmacy. The store for others needs is just fine and the checkout staff are quick and efficient. Pharmacy is abominable.

Vaccination process is broken and disrespectful to customers. Appointment times are NOT honored. 30 minute delay including 15 minutes just to check in. Appointments should not be scheduled every 5 minutes if Walgreens can't serve customers at that pace! Next time CVS! read more

There's ALWAYS an issue...they never save my insurance info/card...it takes over an hour to process a vaccine...they can't keep popular medications in stock. Not going back. They were rude to me for no reason, they have 5 registers and are fully staffed yet if more than 2 people are checking out their items it gets back upped. I go here often and decided to write this review after using the pharmacy for the first time. I just transferred my prescriptions here and they yelled at me because they thought I was looking for my prescription to get filled immediately. If they had listened before speaking they'd know that I was just checking to see that they were going to the right location. read more

I have had multiple exposures to the incompetence of the pharmacy staff: 1) My medicine was spoiled by the time I came to pick it up because someone had taken it out of the fridge and left it on the shelf all day. They did not have a backup and told me to come back another day. 2) They mixed up one order with another, leading to a significant delay in getting a refill on the above medicine (separate occasion). 3) I have had to wait over an hour to pick up prescriptions I was told were ready because the staff was unprepared. This pharmacy should be closed down! I picked up my 80 yr old mothers prescription, and they didn't fill it with the proper amount. If I wasn't there she would have never know. Prior to this, they didn't file her insurance correctly and they over charged her and never made up the difference. THEN, I set up auto delivery and they did not fill. I called to ask if they were going to auto deliver. They said it would be there the next day. My mother had to drive there because it never arrived, and she should not be driving. This Walgreens often never has any of the items I'm looking for when I go in. So I just stick to getting prescriptions. Their parking lot is also very small and narrow. The renovations they made to the store itself are nice. Also some of the "Street Wise" magazine people that hang out around the entrance can be rather pushy. But that has nothing to do with the Walgreens itself, but I could see it deterring people from going there. read more

I have never seen a more pathetic and decrepit Walgreens in my entire life. The staff is two elderly women who can't keep up with the number of customers, even on a Wednesday night (they're very sweet, but still). The store manages to be messy and understocked at the same time, with whole shelves empty. I stopped coming here a while ago and stopped by on a whim, but what a mistake. I used to think the employees were substandard here. Until I stopped in this week for some Hersey's Hugs (to bake Christmas goodies) and the woman in charge could not have been more helpful. She called around to other stores and then called me at home to let me know where to pick them up. She even offered to stop at a store near her house to get them and bring them to Wilmette. Went to get a photo blown up there. Was told by Jake in the photo center that it would be ready later that day. Four days, five visits and a phone call later and I figure out that they have lost the negative of the photo. There are always so many people working at the pharmacy but there are only two people at a register when there are at least 4 to 5 others still working there and there is a huge line. It blows my mind. It never ever fails. I ALWAYS spend at least 10 minutes waiting in line. It is truly unfucking believable. I always go back thinking it will be better and it never is. However, as of this trip (where I am writing this whole review from), I'm done! I will absolutely not come back to this location ever! I use this one because of its location but I'm done. I'm truly considering switching to CVS because of how angry this pharmacy makes me. I have now written a whole review while waiting in line at the pharmacy and the same two people are still being helped. It's actually astonishing that no one has anywhere to be but at the pharmacy. I don't understand why I'm able to check out in under a minute, But it takes everybody else 10 minutes. What could you even be talking about with the pharmacist for 10 minutes? (I experienced more than a few times, "pharm techs" eye rolls about my particular RX's and what they are used for -well within eye view!!! So if you want unprofessional inappropriate humiliating responses to your average RX pick up, this is the place. Their turn around seems to be about 3 months and service continues to get worse and worse with each swap. WIsh I'd left long ago because; when I called the CVS on Sheridan to inquire about switching the guy who answered said "Are you switching from the Walgreens on GreenBay"? The cashiers at the front of the store are the only nice thing about this place. They are friendly. The store lost a photo order I placed in August. I had to reorder and make a second trip. Then they called on December 29 to ask me to come pick up my photos. When I told the clerk that I had them reprinted back in August when I needed them, he acted annoyed with me. The pharmacy is my biggest gripe. It always seems to have trouble processing insurance or reading scripts or filling them in a reasonable time. And the cost is often more than the same script at CVS. Tonight I walked up to the pharmacy counter to pick up a script. There were two employees there, one about to pull a divider to close up. I asked if I could still pick up a script and she told me no, they're closed. Pulled my phone out - 6:01. They closed at 6:00. I know what it's like to end a shift at an hourly job and just want to escape. But still, even in food service or retail, an employee who cares about the customer will give a little wiggle room. I'd expect that even more from someone in control of prescription medication. I tried calling another Walgreens (one that was open later) to have the script transferred, but was told a pharmacist had to be present in the original pharmacy to allow that. And they don't open till 9am tomorrow. Ugh! read more

I tried to pick up my prescription on this location since it is 10min away from my home, but it is the HELL. They have no idea how to process my information, they tell the same excuse to me all time, and I have to wait more than 30 mints., to get some of them to call my insurance company. I talked to my insurance company and they say: that those pharmacy's staffs have no clue how to work with premium insurance. Been going to this Walgreens my whole life. The staff is great. Maybe not if you come at weird hours... But to Jesus' review- understand that a lot of elderly, empty nesters us this Walgreens. I go in a lot. You, if into judging on spot, I imagine you must take your own review's advice, and have been once or twice. If you continue with such refrain and write under-researched reviews with a lack of compassion for people's jobs you've never worked, you know nothing of their commitment .... Moron- you. Back to deadhead- The Parking has tons of spaces and not at all narrow and full of spots if you don't mind walking 200 feet. If you do, there are probably 20 people that got better spots you missed out on that need them much more. The back is always empty and again, couple hundred feet to the door. Sack up. As for the glorified cashiers label... You're just a name calling bitch. Aside from it not being true. Hope your pedestal has a lot of standing surface area. Actually, no I don't. Was gonna say you need it bc your head must way a ton and affect your balance. But I think a wake up fall would do your inflated view of yourself some good. The employees at this Walgreens goes above and beyond. The photo department is so thoughtful and understanding of all my needs. Even making copies, from my phone, was made easier from the staff. The cosmetic department was very helpful in finding just the right tones and colors for my makeup needs. I even received my flu shot, which was administered by the Pharmacist, didn't feel a thing.
