I frequent this spot often. But this time I had to get my passport photos done. The person that does the passports is on vacation, so a couple of ladies tried to assist me my order. Mental note : When you are going to get your passport taken. You need to have a sleeved shirt, not a strapless dress and you cannot smile. You are supposed to look like you're taking a mug shot minus the tears and the smeared mascara. Oh, and there can't be a glare on the side of your face from the sunshine that was coming in from the windows. The stores blinds were broken, so they could not shut them. They wanted me to turn around and come back when the sunshine wasn't peering in through the windows. That was not going to happen. Little did they know, I have worked with photographers and was able to tell them what to do to block the sun shine off of my face. I was not leaving, because it was my second trip to the store for passport photos. After three photos were taken today. We finally got it together and took one that was acceptable. Luckily I had plenty of time on my hands and the ladies had a good sense of humor about it all. Now they know what to do and what to expect the next time they take a passport photo. I've never really spent much time in a Walgreens before. However, recently Longs is no longer taking Tri-Care and offered to forward prescriptions to Walgreens. Ok, I'll give it a go. It's not like I've never been in one. And, this is a big one that also carries some groceries. How convenient. Most recently I was in here before looking for lipstick. Yes, for me. That's another story, sorry about that. Anyways, I was quite impressed with the serious amount of selections to be made. I had no idea what I was looking for but I did have help. Thank goodness. Point is there was lots of choices. As I strolled to the pharmacist, I did notice a few other things. Place is super clean. Nothing in the aisles. Everything looked well organized. Sure, there were few things out of place. Common enough in any store and will be handled during the go-backs. Floor space is wide too really feel like I can breathe in there. I think it's more for the clientele to give them space to maneuver in their wheelchairs. I appreciate that. Staff is super friendly and efficient willing to help get anything for you if they have to. Love how the cashier in the photo area will take regular customers to help speed up the check out line. That's team work. Great idea to put that cashier close to regular cashiers for that purpose. That to me is a good sign how Walgreens, for this location, has put thought and care for their customers. Because it was my first time to get drugs here, I immediately provided the necessary cards to expedite the process. It still would take some time I knew and was prepared to be patient. Lucky me I got a new person who was being trained. And still, it was a pleasant experience to be asked the necessary questions with a genuine smile. That also earned me $5 credit for my next purchase over $10. That will be easy to do. I was also impressed with the Christmas decorations they had. Even saw some I would like to get but I'm over budget this year. Good to note to check it out in the future and watch the deals. I think I will enjoy coming here, and convenient too, in the Laulani Shopping Center with Safeway, City Mill, Golden Coin, Daiichi, Russo's, American Savings, Starbuck's, Ross's to name a few. read more

Bought me a skin care product, I only found one on the shelf in the aisle I was at. I asked the counter girl if there was another one in stock because it was 2x for $50 instead of paying one for $35. She told me I had the last one. Walking out the door I see one in the window, I go back to the counter to return the item cause she lied. She said I can't return it without an ID like I wasn't there one minute ago. I was like are you serious? You didn't ID me when I bought it what's the difference? I told her to put it on hold and if I go back and it's not there I'm making a WHOLE COMPLAINT WITH COOPERATE. Wasting my time. read more

Finding and going into this new location for Walgreens Drugstore was part of our eye-opening experience at Laulani Village Shopping Center. It's a neighborhood drugstore that features 24/7 service. The employees are friendly and helpful. They are willing to help show you to the section or aisle that has what you're looking for. The store itself is sort of warehouse-like with shelves that are well-stocked, nicely organized and prices are clearly posted. The inventory ranges from everyday essentials, snacks, grocery items, beverages, toys, over-the-counter and prescription medications, greeting cards and even local-style garments. Of course, there's more but I didn't want to look like I was casing the store although I was just browsing. Overall, this was a clean and bright neighborhood drugstore that you could go into and feel comfortable that you'd be assisted by really nice people. read more

First off, this IS a PHARMACY slash drugstore. When I"m feeling sick and need prescription meds or you have to deal with chronic medical issues that need stronger than OTC meds - a pharmacist and your prescribing physician become your bestest, good friend (I'm hoping you're not thinking that I'm an addict of some sort). So, when you're feeling ill and cannot drag yourself out of bed to save your life - drugs become your saving grace. The very, very, VERY last thing I want to do when I'm feeling that bad is to get dressed out of my jammies into something presentable to go INTO a store to pick up a script. That's where my love for this particular WALGREENS come into play. When you're THAT sick and don't want to change out of your jammies, you can pick your meds up at their convenient, OPEN 365 days, 24 hours 7 days a week DRIVE THRU. Yes, there have been several times when I have left my house and gotten in my car with my PJs on with some dark, unassuming CYCLOPS type sunglasses to this Walgreen's DRIVE THRU pharmacy. I know I can't be the only one in the world that does this but when no one else can get your meds and you're on the verge of death or dying from pain - you do what you have to do. I love the semi-privacy and comfort of being in my car and not being in the company of strangers when I'm ill. I just make sure that my meds are ready for pick up and I verify that they have verified insurance and copays and such. Nothing worse than having to wait unnecessarily for something that could be avoided. Yes, I dot my i's and cross my T's even when I'm sick. What I love just as much as the drive thru service is that the pharmacist(s) will call and tell you when your prescriptions are ready. I had a previous situation at this pharmacy months ago where they took the time to make all the calls and arrangements to make sure that I got my meds on time. I was so impressed, I wrote (hand wrote - snail mailed the manager on duty a thank you letter acknowledging the pharmacy staff for my smooth transition into their system. So and you can see, from my experiences here, I've gotten nothing less than a 5 -star service. Also, if they happen not to have your meds in stock / in store - they usually will get that product for you and call you back when it is available (usually within a day). And btw...it's a great thing too having a PHARMACY stocked with beauty and food products. And also...it's a brand spanking new and CLEAN store. Great addition to growing Ewa plain community . This is a review for the pharmacy. This location is so slow! I made an appointment at 2:30pm for a Covid booster and flu shot. I arrived 8 minutes early and stood in the appropriate check in line. I waited as multiple prescription picks ups where handled and finally got the pharmacist attention to make sure that I would be helped soon. She nodded yes and I again waited. After finally checking in I am now in their waiting room waiting for my shots. It's now 3:11 - still haven't received my shots. I'm still waiting. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. This is the only place I can go to get vaccinations and every single time I come in there is no one waiting with 5 employees working and it's always over an hour wait. I have to wait 10+ minutes in line before anyone acknowledges me, again there is 5+ employees working behind the counter. Not sure what the issue is, but the customer service is nonexistent. If you can go to a different pharmacy I highly suggest it; because coming here is like pulling teeth. read more

This pharmacy's customer service has especially gotten worse compared to the past year since the new staff replaced the old nicer employees. I just had to call and speak to the supervisor about this female employee on the phone who was basically rude trying to brush me off when I was still asking questions. I had some situation involving my medication which I couldn't really understand but the situation was that I continued to get calls for pickups even after canceling the auto refills because there were more than one place/manufacturers the previous employee who at the end helped complete the cancellation needed to process the cancellation through for this med. So this time I needed to do same action to cancel the auto refill (because it was back on auto refill again) so I called. This female employee instantly sounded irritated and asked if I had a question about medication as soon as picking up my call and speaking so fast frustrated. So I explained my situation but had to keep asking her questions (still POLITELY despite her attitudes) because she was trying to brush me off by just saying all I needed is done and there is nothing more to say and she gave no explanations about what she sees on the system or no effort to look into the situation so that I could avoid having the same issue with this med again EVEN IF I REQUESTED POLITELY and I even acknowledged how busy she was. Rather she said "what you're saying doesn't make sense. It's all done. " and tried to hung up. I then asked for a supervisor to speak with. He first was only defending her because they are all stressed and pressured with limited time. I then assured him that I understand their situation but that doesn't mean they can be rude to their customers. He then finally apologized. If they have no time answering questions they can POLITELY ask customers if it's okay to put them on hold instead of trying to brush them off, talk rudely and hung up on them. I have received this kind of rude customer service not only from this female employee but also another male employee, too for a while. I will NEVER recommend this pharmacy to anyone. read more

DRIVE THRU Prescription pick up is a heaven sent when you or your child is struck with a sickness or just want to stay in your pajamas and not risk infecting someone else. There are 4 different pharmacies in the city that I live in but I would rather drive the extra 25 minutes to pick up my prescriptions here. Why? 1. The option of the drive thru. 2. The pharmacist and the employees are friendly. I'm always greeted at the door. I had asked the pharmacist for a recommendation on what to take for the sickness that I had and the pharmacist came out from behind the counter and showed me the different medications I could take. 3. They suggest the cheapest item. A pharmacist personally called me and told me that I could purchase a medication on the floor for 80 percent cheaper than my prescription price. 4. It's well organized. 5. The Deals. It's always best to shop around and Walgreens offers some good deals on medicine and other household items. 6. Reminders about your prescriptions. They call you and text you when your prescription is ready. 7. Earlier and later hours than other pharmacies. Besides medicine this Walgreens sells a variety of things. Terrible. I ordered online and curbside. I get there clicked on i'm here. I get a notification have to go in the store to pick up order at the photo dept. Walk in a staff member walked pass me waiting at the Photo Center, saw me no acknowledgement then starts helping another customer. The cashier saw me told her i'm here for pick up, she says ok. The cashier that I asked to assist me says, "we are short staffed you can press this button next time." Bad service. A whole line of people was assisted before I got my one item "curbside" prepaid order in the store. I should have just shopped and paid for it in store would have been faster. Received both of my Covid vaccines at this location. They are busy but staff is great and attentive. In and out pretty quickly. Added bonus is that your vaccine is recorded under prescriptions in their Walgreen's app so you always have access to your records. They will also forward info to you PCP if you request it. Let's talk about Walgreens today. It's one fo the nicer ones because it's one of the newest. I really don't come here to shop. I use the pharmacy for all my medical needs and for last year's flu shot. So this review is limited to the pharmacy section. TIP: Friendly reminder get an annual flu shot. It might be free from your employer. Anyway back to review, the pharmacy like the whole store is very well lit. The place has beautiful soft lighting so you don't get blinded but you can see everything. I mean you don't see a speck of dirt anyway. This place is clean. Once you register in for your pickup and you decide to wait at the lounge, it's only a few feet away. The seats are comfortable and there is reading material. I like the fact that there is a large monitor mounted to the wall that will tell you when your prescription is ready. If you decide not to wait, there are plenty of places to go. For me, one particular day I decide to get take out at Bangkok Chief. Yea that's a review I regret writing about. There is a pharmacy drive thru. I can't comment on that since I never used it before and you guys know how I feel about a drive thru. Overall four stars. Service, lighting, cleanliness is top notch. Can't quite give it five stars because even for a simple refill it might take awhile and prices here are a little higher compared to Long's. The price thing is comparing the stores overall. What's the point in claiming to be open 24hrs if your pharmacy isn't open 24 hrs? My husband seriously needs his prescription that he got prescribed from urgent care. Did everyone close at the same time? I tried calling urgent care and they closed too. Had I realized I wouldn't have dropped him off at the house prior to going to Walgreens to pick up the prescription. If I could give it a zero I would. They advertise long pharmacy hours on their web, signs and google vita that's a lie 10-4 on Sunday? I work so I need to go to the Scott on the weekends and get my medication in the evenings as well. I showed up 7:01 and the girl was grabbing her cash drawer out and wouldn't help me or someone else. Sadly, because I had no medication I ended up back in the hospital for an asthma attack. I was NOT notified and when I dropped off no one gave a flyer or notified me they didn't have the hours advertised on the web. attach. Walgreens's Ewa Beach Pharmacy at Laulani Village is the worst, because they constantly run out of medications & fail to reorder & restock their medications. When you go to pick-up a prescription they don't have it & don't know when they'll get it either. Really bad business! Whoever is in charge of the pharmacy is not doing a very good job & is more reactive than being proactive. They wait until they runout of medications & then start the reorder process 3-4 days later, rather than keeping track of their inventory & ordering medications before they run out. The pharmacy seems poorly managed & Walgreen's should hire more competent management in their pharmacy. As a result we moved over to Long's Pharmacy Ewa Beach at 91-1401 Ft Weaver Rd and they have been great & far more efficient & fill prescriptions immediately when they receive the script from the doctor. And they don't run out of medications. I highly recommend Long's pharmacy over Walgreens's pharmacy. Walgreens's has gone downhill due to poor management. Don't waste your time at Walgreens's! read more

Store associates always have bad attitude. I was charged for a bag when I bought one small item and bad wasn't given to me. When I came back I mentioned that I was overcharged for the bag the store associate gave me $.15 out of her own pocket. I found that extremely weird . read more

Always been a fan of Walgreens and was so pleased to see the new building being erected. I didn't know it had opened until I was visiting Safeway one day. I stopped in tonight looking for my ever evasive Boston Baked Beans and...alas! They had some! Albeit a small bag but beggars can't be choosers! Okay okay...so the store is brand spanking new so it is spotless! The employees seemed very friendly - the ones I encountered, anyway, at checkout. They (doing their job) recommended the Balance Rewards card which I happily signed up for (and received $2 off!). The selection is quite varied, and pleasingly so. From candy to liquor to toiletries and the like. Walgreens truly is a one-stop-shop. I plan on frequenting this location very often. Especially since it's 24-hours and so close! The Ewa Walgreens has got to be the nicest one on the island. I was at the Liliha Walgreens in town last night and not impressed as they lied to me. They said they had the telescoping back scratchers "at the end of aisle ten". Fake out. The night before that I was at the Wahiawa Walgreens, looking for the same item. No luck, but at least they didn't confabulate (is that a word). Of course, it was very spooky to drive to Wahiawa town at night searching for telescoping back scratchers. If you know anything about Wahiawa town, its downright scary and I am not talking about the roads or the lack of lighting. The quest for a great back scratcher is a quest that cannot be set aside, especially if it involves having a telescoping back scratcher you can put in your purse when you travel or take to work with you; that simply cannot be ignored. Ewa Walgreens is new, but that's not what impressed me. It was the sheer amount of STUFF in there that I actually liked - rubber slippers with flower and skull print, loads of makeup including different brands of eyelash glue, As Seen On Tv items including a giant vegetable shaver that you insert your carrot into and make spaghetti strings with, Caboodles brand makeup train cases, Monster High dolls for $15 (swim and dead tired series...can you believe it????) and yes, the absolutely fabulous telescoping back scratchers. I was in love. I bought a bunch. Sure they are more expensive than Wal-mart or Target but they are open 24 hours. I can't see any reason that they shouldn't charge more. If you want the convenience then you gotta pay. I can see the scenario already - raiding the local Walgreens during Christmas at 3 AM for that last minute Monster High Abby Bominable doll for your kid and a telescoping back scratcher for your mother-in-law...can't get more convenient than that...but only at this location. Ignore the others and come the one in Ewa...its the best Walgreens on the island. read more

I've recently had to pick up your prescriptions at this location every single one of them had an issue. the latest one really is the most irritating when an order for a prescription goes in the night before and then it isn't ready at 1 p.m. the next day when you show up they say they'll work on it right away and still make you wait 45 minutes. too much competition around my insurance works everywhere and I tell you where it isn't going to go is this pharmacy no wonder their hours have been cut read more

Came here to pick up some pics I ordered from my cell phone and to order some canvas prints. I didn't get the name of the girl who helped me but she was patient and very helpful. I could've waited for it but decided to come back a few hours later after doing some errands. Wow! The canvas prints were amazing! I was very pleased, the original pics weren't the best quality but I was still happy so was my gf. They have always been friendly even on those busiest hours they Always Wore Their Pretty Smiles Welcoming Each customer and offering if one had any questions then "Thanking Each Customer, Ending With Have a Nice Day"! I didn't need anything else though I did browse the store in case there was an item I could use that might be on sale. Went to ER last night and had some meds and doctor sent prescriptions to this Walgreens for antibiotics and pain. This place has a rep so I go in at 10:30am instead of at opening. Lady tells me two hours. Because of their rep I give them 4 hrs and go in at 2:30pm. Guess what...not ready. Can you wait 15 minutes. All exasperated I tell they guy "I was in ER last night! I need my meds!" He says I'll call you fifteen minutes. Omg this infection is in my body and you get this kind of response. I should have switched to CVS Longs. This doesn't happen there! read more

This is for photo. I came to pick up both my free 8X10 and my husband's for my daughter's scrapbook project this past Friday. From time to time Walgreens sends out a promo for a free 8x10 print to everyone that has a membership. This lady, I didn't catch her name but she's an older lady who was making up assumptions that I printed 2 free photos from the same account just because i was picking up my husband's order and both are under my name because when you order photos online, there is an option on there that says "A friend is picking up this order" therefore I put my name, email and phone number rather than having both of us go there. She even called her manager and explained her assumptions and that manager didn't use her brain as well that the photos were not from the same account even though I'm explaining to them that those 2 photos were ordered from two different accounts and hubby's order was being picked up by me and that's why my name is on there. The manager, instead of thinking logically after my explanation wanted to just get rid of me by telling that worker, "Just let it go." Let it go because I'm right and you're in the wrong and not just to just get rid of me. I should have made them look up both orders to show to them that they're wrong. Why is that worker getting all upset that I was able to print free photos when Walgreens is willingly giving them out to any members, is she getting a bonus or a huge praise for being a coupon police? FYI, you cannot use the same code and print another free photo when you already redeem it on the same account. I am still going to do exactly what I've been doing for years because I am not anything that isn't allowed and nope, you two did not bully me into not coming back and getting our free prints. Never had this problem in the mainland because I guess workers there know what they're doing and when an explanation is being explained, they actually take that into account and logically look up the order. The lady that works there needs to do her homework and maybe look up the order and see that photos were ordered form two different accounts and not throw some accusations. This may sound petty to people who took the time to read this, but when you're accusing people of something that isn't true, I will correct you. read more
