Picking up prescriptions in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... My cousin had his medication refilled at a different pharmacy which was really busy; had a crowded parking lot; and had long lines most of the time. The care home operator suggested that cousin switch to Walgreens. Ok... let's try it. We brought a handwritten prescription from cousin's PCP (primary care provider), and gave it to the pharmacist. I was afraid he wouldn't be able to read the doctor's writing, but the pharmacist knew this doctor and could interpret the scribbles. Yay! We had the current labels on the bottles of medication... just in case. After about 15 minutes, the cheerful, efficient pharmacist told us that only 1 of the 3 medications could refilled. Next time, it will be a breeze going to Walgreens instead of the other pharmacy! Thank you! read more

I made an appointment online but when I got to the pharmacy, I was told I had no appointment even if I was text messaged a confirmation the day before. To make matters worse, the pharmacy worker did not want to help me get my covid booster. The pharmacist stepped in and told her to add me as a walk-in. She started grudgingly adding in my info and kept asking me my birthdate 6 times, if I was allergic to latex 6 times and my phone number 5 times. My husband was witness to it. I finally received my booster. I was going to give Waipahu Walgreens 2 stars but the main store cashier was so quick and courteous that I rated the store a 3. Later on I noticed that the pharmacy worker misspelled the street and wrote the wrong city and zip code on my covid card. She had my drivers license to look at. So Walgreens should have a more competent worker at the pharmacy because accuracy of spelling and copying info is important. Also a board on the exterior of the store looks like it is popping off the building. read more

If I can I would give 0 stars but nope reviews us to at least give one trash is all over the ground. Lots of homeless there loitering and the manager wasn't very pleasant. Apparently she said she was sick and she's working and the employee doesn't know how to do a refund if the barcode is off the receipt or the numbers and is not shown employee should know how to do that. I work for customer service in a store. I understand it's difficult, but the employees I work with they try to know every situation before they have to go to the manager and even if it's a question it doesn't take so long do yourself a favor and just either go to a Longs, Walmart and where else over here is not worth it and it's very sketchy as af. Im just gonna put my stuff out there and tell you that I take medication that helps me which is a mood stabilizer, an antidepressant, and a controlled substance that is often misused and sold on the streets. I've been going to Walgreens since they were closer to Pupukahi and just a small little pharmacy. Never had problems Im probably going to get the tech who answered the phone AND IM SORRY but she straight told me, yes, we have it in because she remembered me from the last 3 times of coming down. Mind you, I'm taking a bus from town to here because I'm usually like that. Just like having the same doctor, going to the same fast food restaurant, etc. i get there in LESS THAN AN HOUR because this is now 8 days without my meds, 3 days of missed work because I'm scared I'll have an episode at work that these meds help subside, and with out this medication that is prescribed by a DOCTOR, can have seizures. And I can't have that happening at work. So I get off the phone happy that this nightmare is going to be over and in that time I get there and the tech goes to the back for a couple mins and comes back to say " I am sorry but we don't have it" how is that possible? In less than an hour they gave all the medication out and there was 1 person waiting in the waiting room. Is the store clean? Yes Is the store staff itself nice? Yes Is the Pharmacy and its current head pharmacist professional and providing fair treatment to an individual whose been a customer for more than 20 years? NO. I'm depressed more than I've ever been, feeling horrible, and probably gonna get fired again from another job because of a pharmacist that is quick to judge. I have a legitimate issue and diagnosed by mutable doctors. Why can't this pharmacy get that? read more

I go to this Walgreens fairly often to pick up my medicine. I also shop here for miscellaneous items like makeup, shampoo, vitamins, etc. This location is always clean. Sometimes I hate standing in the long line to get my meds but now I go through drive thru. It's so much faster and convenient when I don't need to go inside and purchase stuff. I do on occasion but random items. The older man at the register was super sweet to me. He gave me coupons and a paper bag for my lipsticks I had purchased. Very kind man. I like the customer service here. They are always fully stocked up and some things they run out of. Plenty of parking up front and around the store. SLOOOOWEST PHARMACY EVER!!! DO NOT COME HERE FOR YOUR COVID VACCINE. I came here to get my COVID vaccine. The first dose, I arrived 15 minutes earlier than my timed appointment, just as the email stated. I waited another 20 minutes after my 9:00AM appointment to get my shot. No one else was waiting for their shot. The second dose, I came 10 minutes earlier than my appointment time. One other person waiting for their shot too. After, I checked in the cashier said to sit down and she'll give me the questionnaire. Waited 30 minutes and never did so I had to go up to ask for it. I noticed that a lot of other people were waiting. It makes no sense to make an appt if staff is just going to take everyone at the SAME time. I wasn't "seen" until 30mins AFTER my scheduled time. That WOULD be fine if there was a line before me...reminder, the appointed staff member took a GROUP of people before me. So there I was...ALONE, waiting to be seen. Adding more to the irritation...seeing the people behind the counter talking amongst each other because they're "upset"...which you could clearly see on their face. The others before her were waiting for over an hour too. There was no update on the time wait. They just made people wait. Slowest ever! Plus, my mom needed to use the bathroom but no they didn't let her until she really needed to use it badly. I'm taking my mom somewhere else for second dose. Also, on another note. I stopped into the neighborhood Walgreen's before my oil change. I don't think I've ever been into this location before. The outside entrance greenery was pretty welcoming and walking into the store was appealing to the eye. As usual, the stores are pretty universal with their layout and the stock seemed pretty well. They were having some sales in the cosmetic aisle, but couldn't find anything I was looking for. I ended up in the vitamin aisle and found everything I needed, and on sale!! Not to mention, the is a pharmacy and minute clinic inside the location. That's a plus for whomever needs the service. Overall, it was a good experience at this neighborhood Walgreen's. read more

I needed a few things and searched target, Walmart and CVS apps but they don't have it. Lucky Walgreens have them in stock! Not only that but I was able to have 25% off with some coupon code and a $5 off on a couple items with manufacture's coupon in app! I placed my order for curbside pick up. App says will be ready in 30 min. I was skeptical at first, but i actually got the my order is ready e-mail just 5 minutes later! Even after repeating it to her several times. It was like she was MOCKING me. Then, I had asked to talk to her manager and she said he went someplace? The lady next to her said "Okay let me go get him" and when he came she started to act all innocent like she was the victim. Don't ever try to call them. The number goes to a useless call center. They also ask about a survey but it doesn't give you a chance to take a survey after the call. I'd highly advise against getting your booster/vaccine at this location. They are incredibly disorganized, and painfully slow. I had an appointment for 3pm. And it took over 30min for them to even hand me the initial paperwork. And the tots wait time was over an hour. If you don't mind waiting a long period of time, then by all means come and visit this location. I wish someone told me how slow they are. I would've definitely went somewhere else. read more

This Walgreens is a large and clean drugstore. I was able to find exactly what I needed. Some random things I've bought are cough drops, breath mints, gift cards and nail polish remover. There were two cash registers open so no waiting in line. There is a reasonable size parking area outside of the building. Overall, I won't be surprise if I come back. They open early so I can easily swing by before work to pick up anything I need. read more

Their photo service is the worse of all the Walgreens I have tried. Twice I ordered same day enlargements and both times they never responded and didn't do the job in the same day OR the next day. On the other hand, Ewa Beach's Walgreen's is 5 miles further for me, but definitely worth going to for their fast and professional photo service. read more

This is a review for the pharmacy department. Made an appointment for a vaccine booster shot. We were the only ones there and we had to wait 30 minutes!! The person at the window could not explain why it was taking so long. The person who finally came to administer the shot never apologized for the wait and made like we was wasting her time. Then you try to charge our insurance for the shot when it's supposed to be free? You just lost a customer. read more

I never been to this location before. It is in Waipahu, along Farrington Highway. There are plenty of parking stalls. The layout inside is similar to the other locations, with the usual items sold. This is a convenient location for the residents and for anyone who is passing by the area. read more

This used to be my favorite Walgreens but I refuse to ever go back there after giving them so many chances. Very misinformed and undertrained staff. Management seems to make up their own rules and don't think about customer service. Same day pick up orders take over a day to process and then items are out of stock. Better training needs to happen or changing of management. read more

Back in December of 2015 when I was on vacation I was waiting for a female friend to pick me up so we can head to the movies. I had decided to browse around Walgreens in Waipahu. As I entered the store I had noticed all the cosmetic items on the right hand side and the cashier counter on the left hand side. While walking around the store I noticed that there are many items that can be bought here. Merchandises ranges from cosmetics, household items, cellphone cases, packaged beverages, greeting cards, as well as snacks. I also noticed there are three Fuji photo stations where an individual can insert a camera scan disk into the machine and choose which photos needs to be printed up. On this day I had decided to purchase a bottle drink and a small can of breath mints. The employee was very friendly and the transaction was done really fast. If and when I am in the area I'll make sure to stop by to buy an item that catches my eyes. 17/200 read more

Walgreen's in Waipahu has been great! The staff works so hard to please customers. During this pandemic, I don't know what l would have done without the help of Maggie, Dee, and Noah! I needed supplies, and they helped me locate them and told me when they expected to unpack things, etc. These ladies are so hardworking and so kind. I sincerely appreciate them and all their help and pleasant conversation. Walgreen's has gems in these workers. Customer service is horrible, pharmacists are all very rude, workers are slow, and clearly do not care about the well being of customers/patients. If you are planning to get your covid-19 shot, DO NOT COME HERE! Both times, i've dealt with extremely rude pharmacists who are very slow at their jobs. Don't get me started on the nurse who administers the shots, she's shouts very loudly and rudely for customers in line to take their shots and has no type of compassion or empathy for those getting their shots.
