This pharmacy is the worst one I have ever telephoned. Some how my call kept getting "dropped ". This is not first, second or third time I have had this problem with this place. Not that the people are pleasant to talk with once they do accept my call or when I visit the pharmacy there is no improvement. It always and I mean always seems to be a bad day for them. Very short and unhappy. Please! If you don't like your job leave. So to the management, this appears to be a long term problem, in which you have lost business. Not sure why it is not addressed. Maybe it is just that you treat your employees poorly or you just don't care. I have worked as a pharmacy tech and understand it can be difficult at times. However, after 4 months, it is not just a bad day it is the consistent bad attitude and poor service which has lost you another customer. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service in this store. I went to the pharmacy counter for help trying to find a packet of vitamins that my nurse practitioner recommended I take for my diabetes. One of the ladies in a white coat waved to me to come. I asked her for help and she mumbled something like I was bothering her. Then she pointed towards a wall saying it was over there somewhere. I told her I looked there prior to asking her and she refused to come from behind her counter to show me where it was. I will never return to this store. Clean store pretty good stock, however my experience was ruined by the OLD MAN CASHIER!! I will seriously wait for any other employees but him. Made an appt for a Covid booster shot through the website which accounts for required time periods between shots but pharmacy staff would not give me the shot stating they go by the rule of thumb of 4 months and not the 120 days the scheduling website or specific guidance provided. Said they did not care how the website worked and yet that's how appointments are made. No wonder they only get 2 stars. Need to apply common sense and not just go by easy but inaccurate rules of thumb. Also need to understand how those rules of thumb they fall back on may not be precise enough to make proper decisions. Have had several issues with this pharmacy. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Went in to make purchase and the cashier was rude when asking for my id... gave me an attitude and I asked to speak to a manager 3 times which he refused. Only when I started raising my voice about a manager did one come over and ask what happen...: I told her and she tries to trespass me!! Then all the employees sat around and let a customer verbally assault me... screaming in my face and trying to intimidate me! When that did work he followed me outside. i come here almost everyday before work because this is on the way to my job and theres no where else to go really. FIRST OFF their coffee machine is always out of order like everyday for a month now. I don t understand how hard it is to fix the machine. But other than that there lines are always short and if there is a long line they always bring in another cashier to take care of the line. i like the teamwork there, the workers are always smiling and happy even though its like 7am in the morning, so thats a plus. read more

When i asked her why is she keep looking at me funny she put her hand over her mouth and did a force giggle to purposly insult me without showing it and said nothing. Possibly the worst experience with an employee at all the Walgreens I've been in. Today at around 3pm, the cashier (which I believe may have been the store manager) would not even give eye contact, didn't take one sec to ask how we were doing, not even a hello. She slightly tossed the bag with our merch in front of us.... she may have not said much, but it showed in her body language and actions that she was either racially profiling us or just disliked life in general. No customer should leave this way especially when no wrong doing or thought was sent in their direction. read more

Today I waited with a couple ladies who had already waited over an hour, one for a COVID-19 vaccination, the other a booster shot. We all made appointments. After an hour, I asked for my paperwork back so I could leave, heck with the booster. (As instructed online, prior to arrival, I had filled in all the "Necessary " completed forms as instructed on Walgreens site, and I included copies of both insurance cards, drivers license, and vaccination card, of both Pfizer shots.) I was told I was next for the shot. I asked Ed giving the shots did he have my paperwork? "NO" I got loud, because names were being called, people arrived way after me for the same reason. Ed got my paperwork from pharmacy himself, I got the booster shot, all of ONE (1) MINUTE. I understand one pharmacist working to fill orders. Okay understood, understaffed. Therefore appointments s/only be accepted when the pharmacy is fully staffed. I made my appointment three days prior. Happier to have store tell me availability of appointments, when pharmacy is fully staffed, rather than allowing choices for appointments when understaffed, waiting till who knows when! read more

They don't have a 24hr pharmacy even though the ER can send medication to them at any time and when they opened at 8am, it took them 10min to even realize someone was waiting to get assisted. I went in for one medication for my daughter and they took 30+min to get it done. So I was there for over 40min waiting while my daughter was in pain. read more

I really liked shopping at WalGreen's Waipahu.. BUT just recently I shopped to get me deodorant. So I got my deodorant. My husband was looking for a certain type of hair gel so I went in the next aisle to browse. And in that aisle there was an employee who happen to walk in that aisle doing her work or what not.. not till 5 minutes after of browsing.. She asked if I needed help with anything. I turned to look her in the eye and said "no thank you I got it".. I noticed as she parted with me she looked down at me and I saw her looking at the deodorant I was holding in my left hand and then looked at my side sling bag which is a tiny bag mind you.. hey.. I work at a much more Retail Store that has groceries, pharmacy , and a friendly staff.. But to look at me in such a way that I was going to steal something or the deodorant I was holding.. come on now.. I know better.. We have far more shoplifters at my store than at Walgreens.. I for one - is not a shoplifter because I stop shoplifters at my store and I know when a suspicious person comes in. So this female worker just made one customer feel uncomfortable and felt to know what she was assuming.. besides she wasn't friendly to start with and her tone was just stern and unfriendly.. If i was a mystery shopper I rate her 0%. Her customer service was poor, her approach was unfriendly, no smile at all, and need not to make an obvious look if I was going to steal. I am a Customer Service Rep at my store and that is not how I treat my customers.. She even went to bring the line down by going on register and talking stories with the other cashier while on a transaction with the customer.. bad customer service all over her. Sorry to say. The Pharmacy here is pretty low in customer service. In checking for my son's RX that were sent in last night by his doctor, I was told that at 5PM they were not ready. The pharmacy tech spoke to said that he didn't know why they weren't worked on yet, because he wasn't working the morning shift. When I asked him to find out why (because this has happened multiple times), he refused to try to find out what happened. He connected me to his supervisor, who did not give a name, just that he was the pharmacist. Who knows whether he was or not. He told me the SAME line I have gotten in previous months "we were understaffed and someone called in sick". The same excuse. No wonder their "flagship" store in Honolulu closed down. Walgreen's used to give good customer service (and my experience with the rest of the store has still been good). Pharmacy needs new management. read more

Great customer service. I ordered photos on my mobile app and used a coupon but when I got the notification that it was ready, it did not apply the coupon. I was disappointed but understand that these things happen. The assistant manager, Heather, was really nice and explained that they usually are not able to adjust mobile orders but was able to honor the coupon. I appreciated her help and professionalism. Worst customer service ever. We were told to sit down and wait because the pharmacist was with someone giving a flu shot. We waited for over 45 minutes and went to counter after a customer that arrived after us was called and got her medication before us. When we went to the counter, our prescription was already ready and in the cabinets behind the counter. No explanation as to why we were told to sit down when the order was already ready. Only reason we went to Walgreens was because a drug got recalled and this was the only pharmacy that had it in stock. We normally go thru mail order and this is a perfect example of why you should use mail order service. Check with your mail order vendor (we use Optium RX) as some drugs are free with no co payment. Never again using Walgreens to refill prescriptions. read more

walgreens waipahu pharmacy has rude unprofessional employees. I went to pick up me meds they told me was too early I then looked on my bottle last filled was 6/24/22 with quantity 15 tablets. to last me a month for which it did. I tried to pick up my meds 7/24/22 exactly 1 month from last fill. The lady reads my sig/directions of the how to take my meds and I'm like are you dumb do the math. daily as needed. i told her give me back my pill bottle she snatched it off the counter and stepped back which kind of threw me in a rage . I ask again she refused that's when I started yelling to give it back to me and she finally did. she the. yelled back as I was walking away to learn to read my sig. I turned around said I would in the medical field I know what sigs are I write them up I send to pharmacies don't tell me how meds work and how to use them. she was rude and inconsiderate would never go back here again as this was not the first time they messed up on my meds and insurance. read more

I like to have my prescriptions sent over by my doctor's office because wait times, regardless if you are in the store or at the drive-thru, have been long. The employee who runs the counter also runs the drive-thru and it's usually only one person. If you're waiting inside, take a look around the store. There are pretty good clearance items all over the place. Make sure to look for the orange tags. Employees throughout the store are usually very friendly and helpful. read more

I really liked the convenience of being able to set an appt online and also that they have free covid testing/vaccinations. But the pharmacists are extremely slow for some reason..i made an appt for the vaccine. Printed out the forms and filled them out before i got there and handed them to the pharmacist upon check in. There was one person in front of me already being helped. After 20 min they got to me. Then they told me to sit down and wait for my name to be called. I waited over a half hour. Why do i have to commit to an appt time if the establishment does not?? After waiting, they called my name and gave me blank forms. The same ones i had already given to them when i first got there. I told them i already filled these out and turned them in at the desk and the lady just turned around and walled away...10 min later i was up for the shot. It was quick and easy. The weird thing was everyone i know said they had to wait 15 min before they could leave, and also that you cant massage the area where they poke you. But right after i got the shot, the person administering put her finger on my arm and started massaging circles where she poked me ??? Then she told me i can massage my arm but just no scratching. Then she told me just to wait 5 min and i could leave. I looked at my appt ppw and the directions were different from what they said lol so weird. read more

3/31/21 went to the waipahu branch as I was looking for Easter gifts but had to use the restroom so I went in the back and noticed the women's bathroom had a combination lock on its door so I asked a girl who was in a room directly across the bathroom if I could please use the restroom and she said, "it's closed cause of covid" told her I REALLY had to go and she said sorry .. cannot. She had no empathy or friendliness about her and brushed me off with no apologetic denial.. was very cold and poor customer service! All other stores bathrooms are open including Longs, Walmart, Target just to name a few. I went to Longs and used their bathroom and spent $200 buying Easter toys and gifts which I had originally wanted to spend at Walgreens. They lost a. customer and cash sale and if they want to keep being open they should have bathroom access for their customers. I can see they are paranoid if you appear homeless or mentally unstable.. but I am a well dressed, educated person and wearing a mask and no one likes to shop where their is no restrooms available.. that's why I don't shop at Ross's either and prefer TJ maxx downstairs at Pearlridge. This is for the pharmacy. It seems like the pharmacy techs all hate their jobs (lots of sighing, no smiles). I had browsed the store for a few items before going into the pharmacy line (which I'd usually do at CVS). There was 1 other person in front of me but someone eventually came to help me after about 5 minutes. I requested my husband's prescription and also added some Sudafed to the order. She looked at my basket (I had 5 or 6 items) and proceeded to ring up my meds. Then, she told me what total for 2 of my meds were. I asked her to ring up the rest of my items and she said I have to go up front for that because "they have different coupons up there". I hated that I had to ask her when I Obviously had items to ring up. Waited in line up front, got rung up (with no mention of any coupons), and left. I don't understand why they wouldn't ring up my items at the pharmacy section; I'm pretty sure she just didn't want to do it. Basically, expect a LONG wait and terrible customer service. read more

Came to pick up my prescription and was told to wait 15 minutes because they were still preparing my prescription. I had no problem waiting. A whole hour passed and I was still not called. So I went to the counter and was told that my name was not even in the system and had no record of the prescription. I called my doctor to see what went wrong so they contacted the pharmacy and told my doctor that it's been ready from before I had even arrived. I am so upset. I will never have my medication from here ever again. They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. They pretended like nothing was wrong. Horrible service! My dad went here to pick up a prescription for my brother. He went to the drive through thinking it would be faster than waiting inside. The people working there told him to wait, but he decided to go inside and wait. He then was told to wait 20-25 minutes. He ended up waiting an hour and it still wasn't ready. There was a screen there that showed the status of everyone's prescription. My brother's name did not appear at all. It was then when my dad decided to talk to the person working there.He was told to wait an additional 10 minutes and even after that it still wasn't finished. My dad was so upset that he went home without the prescription. This was the second time this had happend to him. Never coming to this Walgreen's ever again! read more

They can't tell you if they have controlled substances in stock because of robberies so if you want to fill one of these you'd have to go in person. It would have been a hassle if they didn't have it but thankfully they did. Filling the prescription is a 15-30 minute wait. read more

After a year of waiting in long lines, not getting prescriptions when promised, watching employees engaged in gossip and fun, actually seeing unprofessional procedures, I feel the need to complain. This review is for the service I had at the Pharmacy. The first time I came here, it was a while ago to get my first shot for a vaccine. They told me it'll be a 30 minute wait, and since I was getting off of my overnight shift, I decided to wait & get it over with so I could just go home & sleep. Oh no. While waiting I WAS pretty impressed with the fancy waiting area with the TV screen showing the list of people waiting for their Rx. But after 45 mins, getting tired & irritated, I went up to the counter to find out what's going on... They then had to look me up all over again, asked for my insurance card & told me its been filled, they just have to get it ready. I was thinking just a few minutes, but after another 20 mins I just had enough. I went up to the counter for the second time and told them I'll just come back. They told me they already drew up the vaccine, & the pharmacist will come out. I was so grouchy and tired I almost felt like crying. The pharmacist FINALLY came out and started setting up the private room to give shots. They finally called an elderly man that had been waiting before me. After a total of an hour and a half, I finally got my vaccine. Mind you, I work at an animal hospital and it takes me less than a minute to reconstitute and draw up a vaccine! WTH people!! And I got no apologies for the inconvenience or the wait. Terrible service! So I went back a few days ago for my second shot (because I already had my vaccine Rx filled here I couldn't go elsewhere for my booster shot) thinking maybe they just had an off day. Bless my optimism... They looked up my info, and told me that my insurance doesn't cover this shot since I'm not in the age range for it anymore (I recently had a birthday). Okay, i understand, that's all insurance that controls that, they cant do anything... But this time they were nice enough to call my insurance for me to double check that I don't have to pay for a $150+ shot. They told me they could just give me a call since sometimes they can be on hold with them for minutes at a time. So I left my cell number with them thinking they'll call me within an hour or two. Nope. Two DAYS later I finally get a message in my voicemail while I was at work. I call them & they tell me my insurance won't be covering the shot. Okay fine, so I tell the lady on the phone I'll just get it, I can come later tonight. So I stop by today on my way home from work and they tell me their fridge is broken so they don't even have any vaccines. WTF?! Why couldn't they just tell me that to begin with over the phone?! The wait here is the worst ever. The cost too sucks... as depending on the pharmacist he or she can choose whether or not they wanna honor GoodRx. They have also have drive thru but doubt if it even works, never seen anyone use it. Just don't even bother going there to get your prescriptions filled. read more
