I haven't stepped foot in the face shop for a long time. Since I was nearby I decided to come in to take a look. I love love love how they carried beauty by josseon & round lab my favorite sunscreen brands. I've been ordering them online and it's nice to know I can just go to the store to pick one up when I'm low on stock. They carried a lot of other brands as well. First time coming to this store and I never knew they existed my whole life being born and raised. I started getting into Korean products last year and only knew of nature republic in pearl ridge which recently shut down. I was devastated because I had bought a product line that worked amazing. I'm 42 and just had my last baby 2 years ago so of course my hormones changed. I recently heard about The Face Shop from my coworker, and the product that I found at Ross was also from the Face Shop. So I checked it out. The sales girl Lauren was phenomenal!! I did customer service and sales in my day and she was absolutely wonderful to talk to. I told her that I wasn't to strong with what was needed to maintain my face, I'm just a simple gal. she wasn't pushy, she was very easy to talk to and SHE ASKED QUESTIONS which I LOVED! This is the best face shop on the island. The workers here are so nice and helpful, there is always parking available near to the store, and they rarely ever run out of items. If they do, they are able to tell you when the next shipment is coming in. Customer service here is top notch. The sales are kinda far and few between, they usually have a Mother's Day sale and a Black Friday/Christmas sale but that's about it. If you join their loyalty program/email list it will alert you before there is a sale. read more

Still as great as it ever was! The Face Shop became an addiction of mine when I discovered it a few years ago while living on island. The closest one to me now is located inside Zion Market on Convoy in San Diego. I fell in love with their facial products as well as the cute hand creams they once sold. I didn't see too many this time around, but I did find a cute one that I couldn't leave without! A cactus, lol!! Smells good too! Wish they had more to choose from. =/ They usually have some kind of sale or promotion going on. Some of their stuff is pricey, but well worth it. They have makeup, skin and hair care and even nail polish. A small section by the register houses beauty tools like tweezers, cotton rounds, nail files and more. During this visit, Rachel provided excellent customer service and she had great suggestions for me. She helped me sample some of the items and was very friendly with a great attitude to match! I appreciate the fact that she didn't try to push products on me. If you see her, tell her I said hi! ;) Definitely will return once I visit again. Glad to see they've made it through the pandemic! Good products but not well stocked. I put my name on their list to call for a compact with a young guy more than 6 months ago. When I came back several months later, the same guy said they got a shipment and wasn't sure why I wasn't called. I put my name on the list again a few months ago and no call. Today I went in and they had a few in stock. When I asked the two girls about not receiving a call again, they made a lot of half hearted excuses and ultimately said they are not at fault and didn't call because it came in stock a few weeks ago. They made no attempts to look at the log or even figure out what happened. Today, the stock is almost gone. When did they plan to let the whole list of people who signed up and were waiting know? So ultimately, if you need something, don't wait for them to call you even if they promise to. They don't take accountability for not following through. Face Shop lovers, you must come to this location. The staff is hands down the friendliest and most accommodating. Don't get me wrong, I've been on the hunt for the grey face sponge before at Ala Moana and Kahala Mall, but I'd rather wait for the stock refresh at my fave location. The shopping experience is much better at this location. It's also less congested, so it's particularly good if you want to swoop in, pick up a few herrings, then leave to freshen up that mug. Visited the store on 3/26/24 going in with products I had in mind but wasn't too sure if it was what I needed for my concerns. Kira was the only associate in when I arrived and she helped me right away. I let her know my concerns and right away she recommended products to me, also letting me test out the products on my hands to see which textures I was okay with. After getting some things together I asked her about products that I had in mind and she explained which ones would and wouldn't work. I love her honestly and how in depth she was able to tell me about the products. The store had a good variety of options and was very clean and well kept. Came today for their Black Friday sales event and it's ridiculous to make people wait in a long line in the hot hot sun forever. Why can't they let us order on line and just pick it up at the sales price. They would generate more sales doing this way! I haven't seen the amount of people who went in walk out yet! Love this beauty store and think it is actually far better than Sephora and Ulta. Interesting thing, all products are Korean made. The customer service is excellent. All employees know their products very well. And if something is out of stock, they know when it will be coming in. While trying a product, they are also very quick to provide you make cleanser just so you're not walking around the rest of the day with lipstick or different color foundation on your hand. The shop is very bright and clean. And product prices are reasonable. So much so that when I'm visiting my sister in Seattle, she asks that I stop by The Face Shop for more of specific products that she can't get there. 5-stars all the way around for this establishment. read more

I haven't paid any interested in the Face Shop before since I have sensitive skin and particular on the products I use, but I got products from here as a gift and I loved them all. I couldn't wait to buy more things, so I stopped by the nearest store in Aiea located in the Waimalu Plaza Shopping Center, near City Mill with tons of parking. The workers are so friendly and helpful, they made themselves available if I have any questions. The products I like are the face mask peels, lip gloss, and perfume lotions. The face masks are literally a mask with a character or animal face designed on the mask peel, the lip tint, gives your lips a hint of color for a natural look. The (mini pet baby) perfume lotions smell so nice, not over powering, just a gentle clean smell. These products are fun and perfect for teenagers, or for a girls night in, everyone can have fun with the character face masks while cleaning your skin. read more

The staff who assisted us was very friendly, attentive and knew what I was looking for (just by my brief description). She wore the KF94 black adjustable mask (which I love because it is adjustable (see pic). I highly recommend this mask. She also wore gloves and sanitized our hands prior to us entering. Its so dangerous that they opened this location up so close to where I live. I may need to get a part time job working here to be able to continue to pay for all of my purchases. I have to give a lot of props to the sales associates that work here. They really know their stuff! I have suffered since I was 13 or 14 from terrible acne and an oily complextion. I got it under control for years with Proactiv and then left for college and remained on the mainland for 9 years. My skin during this time was fabulous, and loved it that I could get away with forgetting to wash my face for a night and not be punished by the acne gods. Relocating back home, has been downright sucky for my skin and apparently your skin eventually becomes immune to the line that you use. The sales associate's here, have helped me to discover two lines (Tea Tree Oil Line and Zero Blemish) that I use interchangeably, to "trick" my skin into not becoming immune. I loved it that they take the time to walk you through of how each product works and of how it should be applied (as sometimes there is no English on the product for instructions). I have to give shout outs to Cheryl and Desiree, I've had them assist me a few times and I always walk away with awesome products for my at the moment skin issues. I am absolutely obsessed with their mask selections (kelp mask is very good to clear out break outs over night) and their black honey sugar warming scrub, which feels like you are literally rubbing off a layer of dead skin. You can actually see it build up and fall off in clumps...gross! But whatever it takes to have great looking skin! Popular products do run out, and remain out of stock until their next shipment like their acne clearing mask, and tea tree oil acne spot treatment. But they always offer to take your information to call you when the new shipment is in. Don't be overwhelmed by the selection! If you have any questions, don't be shy, the sales associates are all very knowledgeable, and have experience using these products. I think that is the one thing that sets this team apart from other Korean beauty product stores like Tony Moly or Natures Republic. Everyone that works here has used all of the products and their skin looks great, which means it must be working! The only bummer is that apparently the rewards program doesn't transfer over to the other stores. You get $5 as a credit for every $100 that you spend. Ladies and gentlemen (yes my boyfriend uses some of my prodcuts) check this store out if you have a skin care issue or needs. Whoo, first guy to make a review here! As the store is called, it sells mainly products for the face. Mainly cleaning products: moisturizers, cleaners, things that pull out every amount of dirt off of your face. Ive always felt weird for the people who work there. What if youre showing a product and using it on somebodys face and you pull off a lot of dirt or make up or something? I guess theyre trained to know what to expect. The associate who helped my girlfriend seems really nice. She knew the answers to whatever questions my girlfriend had asked. So the staff are very knowledgeable. The store is pretty big but thats because everything they sell is small. But they do keep the place clean. They even have tiny trash cans to discard the tissues you use to wipe whatever you just put on your hands. Plus if youre in the market for lotion or really any kind of face treatment items, it would be smart to look here. If some places dont have or dont carry a certain product anymore you could test your luck and find it here. All-in-all ladies, this is a good place to clean your face. read more

Another location of The Face Shop at Waimalu Plaza next to City Mill in Aiea/Pearl City area. My usual product is waterproof eyeliner for $13 and it comes with sharpener. I'm not good with liquid so I like their pencil eyeliner and works for me pretty good. This is also my gift stop. I've purchased their cute hand lotion many times for gifts. Price is affordable. They have loyal card too. You spend $100 and you get $5 off. They're also good about emailing you promotions and specials. Customer service is always excellent. They're very knowledgeable and they don't pressure you into buying products. Lastly, I love the fact that they always give you samples every time you buy something. You don't need to be a beggar and ask for samples like other makeup stores. read more

Staff wear masks and maintain a safe distance. When you walk in you have to wait for staff to help you and the first thing they do is ask you to use their hand sanitizer. My husband and I were the only ones in the shop so we had no problems. I came to pick up face moisturizer and toner since I ran out. Both staff girls were very helpful and friendly. To make it more safe they ask that you not touch the products on the shelves and instead ask them for help if you would like to purchase anything or test anything. read more

I love this Face Shop for the location & awesome customer service. On top of that there are (3) things that set this shop above from the others. I have never been to the McCully FaceShop but this place is set up much like their Ward store but it's a bit bigger & because there's more space they will be able to offer a soap making class (information will soon be posted on Instagram). They have a "Best of the best" wall which features their top (10) selling products. Which is nice because if you've never been to a FaceShop you can get an idea of what products are good. They also have "The Golden Shop" which is for mature skin and is only offered in Japan (they don't even carry the line in Korea). Location: Waimalu Shopping plaza in between pink box and secured gold buyers (city mill side). It was their grand opening today and you get 20% off your entire purchase today and tomorrow. Arrived at 4pm and there was a line to get in (about 15 people ahead of me). It took about 25 minutes to get in. They set it up as "shop while in line" which was a brilliant idea. It took about an hour while standing in line anyway. I advise to wait for the hype to come down a bit. 20% off isn't really worth the wait. read more

The customer service at this location is awesome. Thank you Desiree for taking the time (on 2/9/14) to help me pick products that will benefit my skin health. My main goal when I entered the store was to get what I needed and leave. However, I had no idea what I was even looking for and I had no clue which products would even be good for me. I have oily skin and with this humid weather, it doesn't help if I break out. As much as possible I want to control my oily skin and Desiree did just that. She recommended products for me that have really helped. During the last few days I can really feel the Oil Free Control Cream working! When I put it on, my face doesn't feel oily like other moisturizers and it feels great under makeup because it controls the oil levels! Also, Desiree helped me pick a water base eye cream. Being in college, working, and staying up all night has really taken a toll on my eyes. The Chia Seed water-base cream works wonders and it feels so light under my skin!! I love that it moisturizes under the eyes and I'm glad it's not oil based. Anyway, the workers here are super nice and they're always so pretty! I'm glad they took the time to explain to me what products worked best for my skin needs and I was never pressured into buying an item I don't want. My obsession with The Face Shop is real! After seeing that the Ward location didn't have much face masks in stock, I had to check out the Waimalu location since I was around in the area. Again, not much face masks in stock except their animal masks, so I figure I might as well stock up on them. Opted in to get the charcoal nose strips for blackheads for my fiance, and one of the workers came by to assist me on questions I had about a product I was looking at. Again, I didn't get name, but she was very informative on everything and answered all my questions. She also suggested a few other products that she thought would benefit me and my skin, so I appreciate that. A different worker who rung me up, but she was just as nice. Very talkative (in a good way!) making small talk with me as she rung me up, which I appreciate as well. I ain't gonna lie, I was extremely hesitant on shopping here because I assumed that they only had makeup (no face care products) and only catered to lighter skin folks. Boy was I wrong! If you're looking to change your skin care routine The Face Shop is the place to go. They have everything for all skin types and for an affordable price. I personally like their charcoal cleansing foam. If you cake on you're makeup like I do then this is the product to get, it removes the existing makeup that was left behind by my makeup wipe. I then follow with their Papaya smart peel (twice a week) then their white snow toner. If you're a face mask addict then this is the place to go. Employees are very knowledgable with all the products and can pin point which system would be right for you. They do offer to call you if the product you're looking for you is out of stock. Prices are affordable and reasonable with the amount if product you get. All in all, will defiantly be coming back here. read more

4 stars because I know the products well and know what I can use without having a bad reaction. Minus 1 star because every time I go in alone, even in work attire, the sales girls give me weird looks as though I don't belong. When I go with my fair skinned friend they flock to her even though I buy the expensive lines. Honestly, I'm happy I know my stuff and where it's located. The only time. Stay longer than necessary is when they have the sheet mask sale and I'm deciding which ones I don't have. The newer girl at the register though is super sweet! She actually gave me samples, unlike the other girls that work there. I've definitely noticed when I go with my friend they practically dump the box into her bag and give me 1; usually because she can't use them, I end up with them anyway. Sales girls, fix the attitude, non-Koreans shop here too, sometimes I even leave with products for my boyfriend (he's too embarrassed too go in himself lol). I absolutely am a fan!! The masks are amazing and a cheap treat. The face soap for $5 is not only inexpensive, but makes your face feel amazingly clean! I also love their CC cream foundation, lotions, and my recent purchase was a Foot Cooling Lotion! If you're one who has "hot" feet, this product is for you! I put my tube in the refrigerator and it feels absolutely wonderful and refreshing! It has a small rolling ball on the end and it goes on smoothly. Need I say more......4stars!! I'm so happy with the new location in Pearl City, since I live in Waikele and it's only a few minutes away. Lots of parking and very convenient. I was here at this plaza killing time before heading to the airport and happened to run into the Face Shop. I know it's a Korean cosmetics company but never purchased anything from there. I can't recollect the name of the young lady who helped me but omg, she had the best customer service since being in Hawaii. She was nice, friendly, all smiles, and she left me alone to do my browsing but attentive enough to know when to interject and help me when I needed it without me even asking. I REALLY wish I could remember her name but I'm now just doing this review since my visit in October 2016. After using the products, they were so-so. Not the best Korean cosmetics especially for the price and even less appealing if you don't purchase during a sale. The moisture cushion and the anti aging cushion formula stuck to my dry patches even after moisturizing really well. The makeup tends to separate throughout the day and gets patchy on my oily to combo skin type. The couple eye shadows I got were just ok. The lipstick was like any other roadhouse Korean cosmetic lipstick out there. I REALLY didn't like the milk cream cleanser... it left a nasty, oily? film on my skin. The face sheet masks were also very generic but it at least it didn't irritate my skin! read more

As at the McCully and Ward locations, this Face Shop is bright and filled with cute merchandise. Even better...parking at this location is much easier. I have been impressed by the great customer service at the other two locations, and I felt that the service at this location has been the best yet. We were greeted immediately upon entering the store. Frequently, sales representatives offered to help but also allowed us to browse and sample products without seeming intrusive or aggressive. There is a decent variety of skin care and makeup as well as some hair care. The price ranges from very affordable to expensive, and the sales staff have always been happy to explain the benefits of various products. Obviously, the selection is limited to Face Shop products so there is not the same variety as at Sephora or department stores....if you expect this, you will be delighted with the cute merchandise, pleasing environment, and friendly service at The Face Shop. read more
