The Cosmetics Company Store - Where Makeup Lovers Time Travel…read moreThis little shop at Waikele is a total gem. It's definitely not your giant beauty warehouse, but that's the charm--you walk in and instantly feel like you're on a treasure hunt. They've got MAC, Clinique, Estée Lauder, Too Faced, and other big names, but here's the fun part: a lot of it is from last season or limited runs. Think of it as a beauty time machine--you might spot that palette you missed when it first launched or a lipstick shade you thought was gone forever. The store itself is small, bright, and super clean. The staff? Friendly and helpful without hovering. The vibe is relaxed--no chaotic aisles or pushy upsells--just shelves waiting for you to dig in. Parking is a breeze (thank you, Waikele), so you can take your time and explore. If you're a makeup or skincare lover, this is like finding the VIP section of a sale rack--less "what's trending" and more "hidden gems worth bragging about." You never quite know what you'll leave with, but you'll feel like you scored.

Always in the search for skincare…read more.. Never really gave The Cosmetics Company Store much thought as I don't wear much make up with such sensitive skin and have all the work go to waste once I start sweat and work makes it for an interesting effect as it starts to smear. With sensitive skin I'm always on the look for cleanser and skin care as it can be costly though doesn't have to be and with places like this makes it a possible experience. It seems like the carry brands like Clinique, Mac, Origin, Estēe Lauder which I don't really use but did get a bit curious to the selections they have. Walking in there is a fun section #beautihaul a fun hashtag that's so true where you pick a bag of your choice and select 6 samples all for $15! So great for yourself...travel...or that extra something for a gift. Delightful staff that greets you though I had no questions they didn't follow or bother me as I browsed. Will keep this place in mind for future beauty items. Thank you!

She purposely ignored me and didn't even acknowledge our presence in the store, making it super uncomfortable and unwelcoming to be in there. If I absolutely didn't need my product that I came in for today, I would've walked right back out just to avoid dealing with that type of energy. It was the rudest and quite frankly - the weirdest - behavior that I've ever encountered from a place of business.

I would give five stars only if the cashier issue was better. The only reason I gave one extra star…read moreis because of the lovely woman that helped me find the perfect lip color. The signage to know where the line starts is awful and they don't tell you until you've stood there awkwardly for five minutes while they ineptly ring someone up. When there is a line, bring more cashiers. This is common sense. The most amazing part of this disaster is, as someone that has worked customer service and management, the cashier should have been apologetic rather than snarky. Next time I'll order what I need from somewhere else and wait in the comfort of my home. I'd have walked if I didn't desperately need my purchase.

This store has many hair care, skin care, cosmetic, and fragrance products! Service was friendly, welcoming, and helpful! I went to the cashier and a pleasant young man offered his assistance. I told him that I would like a birthday month reward. He looked me up in the system and showed me four options. I selected the Tower 28 gift... it's a refreshing facial spray and a lip jelly! On Small Business Saturday, I met Nurse Joan. She was sweet and friendly, so…read more.. I allowed her to look at my legs...Haha! Yes, she was a stranger! And then, she even touched my legs! LOL! She was assessing me for varicose veins! I didn't think I had "diseased veins" because they weren't bulging out of my calves. However, using an ultrasound machine, the width of the veins can be measured. If the veins are too wide, the valves are unable to pump the blood back up to the heart from the lower extremities. I went to Nurse Joan's office in Waipahu. She works with Doctor Danelo Canete at the Hawaii Vein Center. It's a clean, tidy clinic with free parking in the front. I like the cute decor in the waiting area and the convenient water dispenser...Haha! The ultrasound technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He told me that the veins in question are superficial and other veins can be used in the future if needed for heart bypass. So, if we close off the diseased veins, other veins can take over...no problem. Hmmm...I'm still thinking about this procedure. If I do it now, I can prevent bulging veins, have less cramping, and feel more energetic. I didn't realize that my legs were tired due to varicose veins. I thought I was just walking and standing too much! LOL! I'll be back for further assessment!

Picking up prescriptions in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. My cousin had his medication refilled at a different pharmacy which was really busy; had a crowded parking lot; and had long lines most of the time. The care home operator suggested that cousin switch to Walgreens. Ok... let's try it. We brought a handwritten prescription from cousin's PCP (primary care provider), and gave it to the pharmacist. I was afraid he wouldn't be able to read the doctor's writing, but the pharmacist knew this doctor and could interpret the scribbles. Yay! We had the current labels on the bottles of medication... just in case. After about 15 minutes, the cheerful, efficient pharmacist told us that only 1 of the 3 medications could refilled. Next time, it will be a breeze going to Walgreens instead of the other pharmacy! Thank you!

To make matters worse, the pharmacy worker did not want to help me get my covid booster. The pharmacist stepped in and told her to add me as a walk-in. She started grudgingly adding in my info and kept asking me my birthdate 6 times, if I was allergic to latex 6 times and my phone number 5 times. My husband was witness to it. I finally received my booster. I was going to give Waipahu Walgreens 2 stars but the main store cashier was so quick and courteous that I rated the store a 3. Later on I noticed that the pharmacy worker misspelled the street and wrote the wrong city and zip code on my covid card. She had my drivers license to look at. So Walgreens should have a more competent worker at the pharmacy because accuracy of spelling and copying info is important. Also a board on the exterior of the store looks like it is popping off the building.
