I stopped in with fresh clean skin, no moisturizer and make up free face. I looked in Laura Mercier section and debated between trying the tester for Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free Blurred Matte SPF 30 or Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen. Price was the same. Hiroko approached me and felt my skin. She mentioned my skin felt dry and recommended moisturizer from Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. She applied a tiny amount on my face. I loved the cream once she colored match my skin with Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen 2N Maple. Both products blended seamlessly, offered maximum coverage, felt light on my sensitive skin considering humidity. I purchased both products. Angie also helped me decide while I applied tester on outer hand on a few of the matte colors for Sephora Waterproof 12 hr Colorful Eyeshadow Stick & Liner. My sister and I went to Sephora Waikele location on 12/18 looking to buy Christmas gifts. The Rare Beauty display had 2 red circle sale tags. 1 in front of a blush set and the other in front of a body lotion set, we grabbed both. While being rung up the blush set rang at regular price. My sister informed the cashier that it was on sale. She then asked the male employee (Nick) to check the tags. We still bought the product even though it didn't ring up on sale. After purchasing we went back to the display to make sure we saw it correctly. Nick had actually removed the tags! When I asked him where is the tags and what product was it for, he was obviously irritated and told us "they told me to remove it, you can go ask them". I then said "I just want to know which product is on sale, it's not your fault." He VERY RUDELY answered "Oh, I KNOW it's not MY fault!!" The audacity to treat us with the attitude when we are long time Sephora customers!! I asked the girl at the door for his name and was told that his name is NICK and that he's one of the leads!!! We went straight home and reported him to Sephora customers service!!! All the negative reviews on this store is about a male employee, I bet it's him!!! We will never go there again. read more

This review is for their makeup service. Had a fancy event to attend to and didn't think of getting glammed up until the day of. Booking an appointment via the Sephora app was easy and convenient. I was nervous considering I'm not a makeup girly BUT I had a great experience. Heather was so kind and eased my "first time" anxiety. She asked me things that were foreign to me (ie what color foundation pref) and when I said I didnt know, she didn't make me feel stupid about it lol. "I visited Sephora this afternoon (11/2) and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with one of the associates. The man who helped me at checkout, was not friendly or welcoming. When I politely asked if he could look up my credit card account since I'd forgotten my card at home, he responded in a bossy tone and spoke to me as if I didn't understand the process, with other customers waiting behind me! I felt disrespected and uncomfortable with his demeanor. Customer service should be about making the customer feel valued, not belittled. Customer service needs a definite improvement. There were about 4-5 associates in the store. One approached asking if I needed help, I politely said no thank you. Another asked what I was looking for, so I mentioned I saw an advertisement about foundation but forgot the brand, he commented, we have so many advertisement. So I felt they were kind of biased as to who they helped. Went to pay, cashier asked did anyone help you, I sarcastically said no. It was amazing! The makeup products have such beautiful quality. I love the variety they hold so many shades, scents and etc. I was looking for perfume and makeup. Many of the staff quickly check in on me on how I was doing. They did an outstanding job on assisting me to make sure I got everything. I don't have much deep knowledge on makeup and perfume so they educated me a bit on what it is and what will work best for me. One suggested this perfume that was very specific to my needs that is within my budget. I also wanted a blush and a worker tested it on my face to see what shade would look good. Another chose me a good mascara that met my cost and told how much I should apply. I'm a very indecisive person so their advice and suggestions had help me to get the best one and it made my day. I came here with my daughter around noonish for their grand opening today. They opened at 11 am. Luckily, it wasn't super crowded so we entered the store, and the lady recognized me because I had told her I went to the grand opening at Kahala mall. I'm a rouge member and love to check out new releases. I ended up spending over $100 here as well and got a free tote! Awesome! I can't wait to try my new makeup items. The one with the most attitude (at the door) stood there the whole time & when I asked him to help me find a brand (after he stared at me walking down the aisles 5x like I was trying to steal or something), he walked away without a word, rolled his eyes, and pointed towards a row.... Then walked back to the door and stood there. He acted as if I was stupid and like he had way better things to do than his actual job. I walked in to do some damage (I needed to refresh my whole makeup inventory) but I literally walked out with one item when I saw how he acted too good for the customers. Scheduled my daughter to have her makeup done for her senior portraits. We was a little early, but once we walked in we, was greeted at the door by Ashely. She was very pleasant and asked if we needed any help. I told her we had an appointment for makeup and she said she will be doing my daughter's makeup. Before and during the whole hour of applying my daughter's makeup she asked my daughter what type of look she wanted. At the end we walked out very happy with the way she applied her makeup. Super convenient and closer Sephora location! They took over the old bookstore spot in Waikele next to Starbucks and GAP. I plan to frequent this one a lot more. Recently I made a quick stop to pick up my birthday gift but they were out of stock..I decided to browse around and was instantly greeted at the door and was told about their current promos. Instead of doing an online order I shopped around to find the items I already had in my cart. I believe I seen 2 stalls out front for order pick up. The ladies I encountered were sweet. Sephora carries certain brands and products that Ulta doesn't like Charlotte Tillbury. Also certain products can't be shipped to Hawaii via online order, but they might just have it in store like the Dr.Dennis Gross skincare line. However, they do not carry the Tarte shape tape concealer.. All in all, I plan to come back soon! Gotta reach that Rouge status one day lol read more

First of all, shoutout to Jasmine, Bianca, and Britt for being such amazing help throughout my shopping experience at this location. It was my first time here since they first opened and the team definitely made sure to keep the store clean and the shelves stocked. I had such a fun time going through the aisles - there were maybe 2 or 3 other groups/people shopping at the time- and the team continuously checked up on me to make sure I was ok. Jasmine was especially awesome. The store only has smaller shopping bags so whenever she noticed that I had bigger items in my hand, she came by and brought them to the cash register area to hold for me. She also provided me with great gift recommendations and made sure to keep me updated on the deals and specials they had. She was especially knowledgeable of the Sephora credit card, which I, unfortunately, am not able to sign up for at this time but would feel comfortable doing so in the future. I would definitely also leave a review directly with the Sephora site but I lost my receipt - whoops! I hate coming to this location but it's the closest to me. Most of the times I come here I encounter some rude employees, they just really seem to be judgmental especially when I'm checking out. There's one older lady with blonde hair and a guy (whom I think is the manager) that always have a tone in their voice when they talk to me, it's like they think I'm dumb and don't know what I'm doing in a makeup store or I'm too young to be in there when I'm in fact in my 20s lol. They seem to treat me better when I come in with my mom which I'm guessing is because she's clearly an adult. I do have some good experiences with all other employees that are not the two I've mentioned above, but it just seems I don't encounter them as often. And besides the customer service, the store is pretty great, they have a lot of products in quite a small space. The only other flaw is that a lot of products are always low/out of stock. Overall, I have a pretty uncomfortable experience when coming here. Hence why I always opt to shop online or at a different location. Hopefully the company can have their employees practice better customer service and stop being so prejudice. read more

Grand opening today of the newest Sephora location at Waikele Center by Starbucks. The store is a bit smaller than the other Sephora's but it feels spacious inside. It has major beauty brands in cosmetics, skincare, hair care and fragrances. The selections of each brand might be less than what you're used to from other Sephora's but you can see what's in stock by using the Sephora app. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. Majority of the team is made up of employees coming from other Sephora stores so you will see familiar faces. Everyone was eager to help! I've been to this location at least three times now, and I can honestly say that the team members here are always professional and friendly! They are helpful when needed, yet they can also chill when you're just browsing. Today I took my 85 yr old mom with me to replenish my foundation, and I figured I'd get her small session with one of they make up artists to pamper and do a small "make over"... we basically decided do a mini session and get my mom some concealer and foundation too. Jayda (I hope this is how you spell her name!) was great! She was patient and very good at finding the right shades and showing my mom how to apply the foundation and concealer. It was a great moment, as my mom has early stages of dementia and can sometimes regress to a child-like state. My mom loved the experience and felt like she was playing dress up! Iv been standing wait for the person helping me for a while, she asked on her walkie-talkie for what I was looking for but never came back to let me know if they have it or not. Someone else came and looked on their phone and didn't have it.. they were just talking to each other only asking if we need help when we tried looking for it on our own. They did say Hii welcome but that was all. When I'm dolled up they help me no problem. As I was standing and waiting for the lady to come back to let me know if they have it or not (she never came back) I seen customer having to go up to the workers and ask for help, they all look annoyed because they where just talking to each other. When I've walked in with a list, the associates are always willing to hike the store and grab what I want. When I'm browsing, no pressure at all.
