I've been a Melaleuca customer since 2021 but have never visited a store. So while on my recent trip to Hawaiʻi I made it a point to stop in. While I've become familiar with my favorite products it was so cool to see the store full of everything and be able to smell the different scents I never pulled the plug on purchasing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, I do notice though that those that are out on the floor are likely shopping for orders, which means they do look a little focused but if you ask them for help they'll immediately switch gears into helping you and don't make it seem like a burden. Parking is a bit tricky, but easy enough to get a stall. read more

I have now been a member for 4 years here and I look forward to my monthly product shopping. Not only do they have fabulous quality products, the staff have developed into friends. Every staff member is knowledgeable about their products. It's been about 2 years since they've introduced their grass fed beef product like and since we've subscribed monthly we can ever go back to farm factory meat. What I love about this place is that there is MLM component to the company but you don't have to participate in that type of business to be a member, not meetings and you do have to wait to order and get your products. Like Costco -and Sam's you can just go to the retail storefront and get your stuff. Shout out to Tracy, Chelsea and Wendy for always being the best sales associates all the time. read more

I've been shopping with Melaleuca for a little over a year now and have enjoyed using everything that I've tried so far. I've tried almost all of their cleaning products, some hair and skin care. I've tried some of the makeup, along with some children's products, and I have no complaints on their products. It's high quality and very affordable. I used to place my orders online every month, until I found that there was an actual Melaleuca store here on Oahu. Now I get to shop with no shipping fee, and I don't have to go get everything all at once if I don't have too. Also, I love that the store is so clean and organized. Melaleuca was taught by a friend who lives in the same condo. It is a system that only members can purchase, and it is mainly online shopping. Fortunately, there is a store in Hawaii, so I was guided there. What I was imagining was a scale like Whole Foods with groceries, but it was smaller than I thought and there were no fresh food or general beverages. My neighbor's sister explained to me, and she was very eagerly recommended to become a member. Actually, I'm proud to be living an extremely healthy life by myself. That's why I take pretty big amounts kinds of supplements every day and also exercise every day. I've been repeating this for decades, so it's difficult to change my routine right now. Even so, I was very eagerly invited to new members from her and it's little bit makes me tired... Certainly, I felt that all the products were of good quality and good for health. However, I think that each person has their own thoughts and preferences, so if you are forced, there is a possibility that a reaction will occur. However, my friend's sister was so young that I couldn't believe she was over 70 years old, and there were many things to be convinced by her enthusiasm. Fortunately, she seemed to understand my opinion, so we said good bye each other after I listening to her story in the store for an hour. I heard that this system also exists in Japan, but I didn't know that even when I was lived in Japan. I'm sure that when that time comes, I will offer to become a member myself. COVID-19 review.... May 10, 2020. Yes, our State of Hawai'i is still in lockdown but has been slowly relaxing some restrictions. However, as residents, we're still making sure that we continue following CDC guidelines as we've all worked so hard to keep our infection and death rates low. We're thankful that our islands still get regular shipments so our supply chain hasn't been drastically interrupted although due to hoarders, many others have been disadvantaged and just have to wait or seek out alternatives. We usually keep our house clean but with COVID-19, we've increased our disinfecting processes to keep ourselves and our neighbors safe. Instead of using strong chemicals for household cleaning, we've turned to Melaleuca that provides plant-derived anti-bacterial and anti-viral cleaning products. At least the aroma and physical contact of these plant-derived products aren't as irritating as those caustic chemical products. My sister is a member of Melaleuca so when she called to inform me of her shopping venture at this location, I immediately agreed to meet her as I wanted 2 products. 1- SoluGuard Concentrate and 2-Clear Defense Hand Sanitizer (gel or wipes). There was a limit of each item due to the high demand, but we were able to get those products. If you're a member, you'll get awarded points with your purchase PLUS a member's discount. Admittedly, I don't know the business structure of Melaleuca but I have a lot of confidence in their products. We'll be back to get more bath soap bars, laundry detergent or hair shampoo next month and at least it'll be another excuse to see my sister in person instead of via Zoom. read more

I signed up to buy products so we could help a friend out during COVID-19. She is a sales representative for the company. We had orders coming in monthly and we gifted the products to clients but we couldn't give them away fast enough. The boxes quickly started to pile up. After awhile we had 5-6 unopened boxes and another 1-2 full but opened boxes. This is when we decided to cancel our subscription. Over a few months we gifted a lot products but still had so much left. I randomly decided to call them to see if we can return unused products and just our luck, we could. They told us we could just return it to the local store to save on shipping. Hawai'i is very lucky as it's one of the few physical Melaleuca stores in the USA. The first trip I brought 5 unopened boxes as this was all I could carry myself. Kristi assisted me and she was such a trooper. She had to make about 10 calls to assist me with the returns. After awhile, we were able to successfully return all the items. I'm so appreciative of her patience and also for her going the extra mile to make sure the returns were processed correctly. Thank you Kristi! 5 stars to you on customer service :) The next day I came back and Kalani, Store Manager, assisted me with the return because the receipts for these items were not available. She is amazing! Kalani told me that she sent a detailed email to the company about what happened the day before with Kristi in hopes that they make the return process simpler (like how it was in the past). Kalani was extremely patient with the return process as it took about an hour. We had to go in the back to do the returns as it was a lot of items from different orders. She has been there since they opened 9 years ago and I can see why she's the Store Manager. 5 stars for her as well! The products here must be of great and high quality as they were super busy each time I was there. People waited in line for awhile just to check out which attests to their products. Our clients who received the products were quite happy to receive them and were excited to use them. Customer service is exceptional and I cannot say enough good things about them. The employees know a lot of their regulars on a first name basis which I thought was really cool. First of all I want to say I am not a member I'm an add on under a friend and this was my 1st shopping trip. I wanted to try a few products I been hearing about and my friend was more than happy to add me. I'm glad they except new customer this way. I wasn't really sure where this store was just knew near the airport so I gps'd it and it took me pass the building to the airport eventually I ended up going in circles to find the building and parking lot. Btw don't blink your eyes you'll miss the parking lot. Basically from Nimitz turn down Paiea st the store is literally right there on the right corner (west) turn immediately into Koapaka st and you'll see their parking on the side if their building. There's about 10 stalls. You can probably park on the street if you find a stall that's not reserved or at the center where jambas is after koapaka st first 2 hrs is free and just walk over. I honestly don't like the parking situation, they should have more useful stalls for this size of a business. I'm not used to going into a store and not having anyone on the floor to ask for assistance but It seems to work for this place. All the employees was at the registers and if you had questions you ask then. I guess cuz it's a member type store so not much people ask for assistance just come in and grab and go. I must say this place even tho very busy when we went it was super relaxing while strolling around and shopping. Even standing in a line with almost 10 people in front of me wasn't annoying and didn't feel long lol. They'll automatically charge your card $90 and ship you random items if you haven't bought anything recently. They did this to me with no heads up, no warning whatsoever. I got a notification from my credit card carrier that $90 was spent. When I confronted Melaleuca and asked them to refund my card, they said no guarantees. This is not cool. No aloha. Before you go, make sure you're a member! The member discounts are waaaaay better than the regular prices. My wife got the membership and primarily used the online shipping to our place. We decided one day to check out the store in town. The store offers a lot of good deals and things you can test for yourself that online doesn't offer. We use melaleuca products because they're better quality products and most, if not all, are locally made. By better quality, I mean lots of natural ingredients and healthier stuff. 10/5/21 Ever stood in line at the bank on a somewhat busy day with two bank tellers open, and just when you get to the front of the line, one bank teller leaves for break leaving the rest of the customers for one bank teller? It sort of felt like that today. Got to store when it opened. I went for one thing, grabbed it and I was already 4th in line. There were 4 cashiers. All the customers either had huge orders or multiple questions about products. I observed one customer asking questions going back and forth for more products, asking how to use said product and asking friend and cashier whether they should use a spray bottle or pump or cap. Customer #2 was picking up products and trying to return something. They couldn't figure out how to do it or even IF THEY COULD despite her calling ahead of time regarding this. Customer #3 had a huge order and did two transactions. She brought a bunch of paper bags to which she proceeded to SORT the products in bags WHILE cashing out...taking their time in my opinion. Customer #4 did not have a lot of stuff but kept walking back and forth for things on the shelves. (Yes I was in line long enough to observe this and then some). As a result of each customer being at the register 7-10 mins there were 14 people behind me. note to business: while some situations can't be helped, answering tons of product questions at the register is probably not the best practice to do when the line is half hour plus long. MAYBE create an express line just for small orders, no questions in and out for those that don't have the luxury of time OR are unable to stand in long lines due to medical reasons. Note to customers: please be aware. If it's not busy then sure. Ask away. But if it's busy, please don't tie up cashiers that way. PLEASE don't start sorting your customers' orders at the register either. That's just plain inconsiderate and rude! read more

First time and never again! I was in there to get a surprise gift for a coworker at her favorite place only to be rejected because I was not a member although she is a member! They didn't want to take my $100 without her approval?? It was a surprise birthday gift people! Clerk store so not helpful! The only way to purchase her gift was to get her husband on the phone to approve using his account. Can't believe they haven't figured out how to give out gift certificates or just allow a one time guest pass as a powerful method to get more members!! The best thing about it is that during the pandemic when major box stores were completely out of stock of cleaners and hand sanitizers, Melaleuca was always stocked. There are a lot of parking stalls. I am greeted with friendly employees and the store is always clean. The products are marvelous and what I like best is that it is safe and healthy. Finally, a STOREFRONT so I don't have to order online and pay shipping charges! Prices in the store are the same as online, with a $3.19 transportation surcharge. This is much better than my $15+ shipping/handling charges I usually get with each order...My favorite products are the laundry detergent, Solu-Mel, and MelaGel. For a while they stopped shipping certain items to Hawaii which sucked. Now you can go into the store and get Solu-Mel, aerosolized sunscreen sprays and shaving cream!! If you're already a Melaleuca customer, you've got to come down to the store! Stop paying for shipping! Not only do you save on shipping costs, you don't get all that extra corrugated cardboard boxes and air-filled pillows to clutter your life! You can also use your Loyalty Shopping dollars here too, but must pay tax on those items. Now about the customer service here...They could use a few happy pills...or five. C'mon, you're in a store filled with products that make life cleaner and free of all those harsh chemicals! Be HAPPY dammit. Just cancelled my membership yesterday. Price point is average; money ain't an issue (considering most of their cleaning products are concentrated), the issue is the 35 point commitment. There really isn't enough products that I "can't live without" to rack up around $70-$90 worth. When you first sign up you think 35 pts is easy, but if out of 400+ products you only like a few- it becomes a problem. I can buy similar products at Down to Earth or Whole Foods. My initial membership sign up fee was $1, which I was told was a limited time, but it seems they've now extended it for another 2 months. Lol You'd think as a member they'd offer over $50 free shipping?! Nope! After putting 35 points worth of products in my online cart that racked up to $80 (even with my $20 learn to earn bucks) they were going to charge me a shipping fee of $16?? That's where it made me stop and think. Something ain't right with this company. Do your research. The company makes it hard for you to cancel- you have to literally dig to get the number to call and then sent an email link, need to sign and then send in electronically or physically (if they remember to send you the link). Couple days later I receive a text 9:40pm from the person who helped me with enrollment asking me why I'm cancelling in a tone I didn't appreciate at that hour after a long day! Asking me to stay at least another 2 months- No I'm sorry, you won't be getting a commission off of me. First rule- be honest with your customer. I have been ordering products with this company for over a year. I canceled their new beef subscription back in April. I received a text in July saying my subscription would be canceled if I didn't take action. This was confusing, so I called to make sure my subscription was canceled. I was told it was. Today... I wake up to a pending charge for over $100. When I called customer service I was told there was nothing they could do because the box had already shipped. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I couldn't hold to speak with one because they had other customers to assist. I still sit here three hours after my original call waiting to have this resolved. I have no confidence that it will be resolved at this point. A close friend asked me to check out Melaleuca as a favor to him. He promised that there were amazing products for an extremely low price. Of course I was intrigued because I trusted him and his recommendation. Upon entering the establishment I was greeted by my friend's friend who gave me a presentation on a laptop. It was not that impressive but nevertheless as a favor to a friend I bought the big package. 300 bucks with a promise to spend hundreds more. The following month I had to spend 35 points which was about $70 of product and got an additional $40 of product free. The following months were the same spending about $70 and getting $20 of free product. After 2 months I realized I had more than enough product and wasn't using what I had. The products were good definitely good but not great. I wanted to quit after the second month. In short, although they purport not to be a multi-level marketing program I don't see how it can not be. The products are diverse but not mind bogglingly different from what's at Costco. It's just ok. Not recommended. read more

I love knowing that we have the store to shop at and we don't have to go online to order. SERVICE The service here is always amazing. They have a few workers walking around the little store. When I have a question or look lost, someone will ask me if i need help. I also love that the workers always ask if i am looking for something or need something because I probably am. Twice, one of the workers walked with me and helped me shop to meet my 35 points for the month. It made shopping there much easier. PRODUCTS Every product I have bought so far does exactly what it is suppose to do. I trust and have belief in the products and the results! Shopping here is simple because everything I need is here and I know it is safe for my family! -1 STAR The only negative is the parking. They have about 5-6 stalls right next to the building, but the rest is street parking. All the stalls are marked "Melaleuca" but it's all parallel stalls along the road. I think it is an inconvenience for us shoppers to have to park a little further away. Especially since i see so many elderly people shopping and I know parallel parking may be a struggle. Also, there is this one creepy guy strolling up and down the road dragging a stick or pipe. I have not seen a security when I went at night and I feel very unsafe. I've been a member for 5 months but had to quit because I moved. I've been satisfied with their products. They offer beauty, nutritional, medicinal, bath & body and household products. They are known for using non-toxic ingredients. I've probably tried 1/3 of their products and so far they haven't disappointed me yet - well except maybe for their soap which I had a reaction to. I really love their Sustain hydration drink (lemonade and grapefruit flavor) which is comparable to gatorade, but offers more electrolytes. I also bought my mom hairspray and she told me that she loved it. In fact, I bought her an additional 4 so that she can give it to her co-workers. As for parking, it's pretty odd. There are parking stalls in front of the store but members can't park there. If you do, your car will get towed. Weird, right? No matter though as they have street parking solely reserved for their customers (located on Koapaka Street). The store location was really convenient for me as well.
