This small shop contains a ton of merch! They have everything from party styles to everyday styles,…read morelace fronts, clip-ins, synthetic mix, human hair, wig maintenance products, etc.
Parking is plentiful and free (storefront is next to Sounds of Success preschool/speech therapy). The printed paper sign on the window might say 11:00am open time but if the "open" sign is on, the store is open.
Because the shop is so small, you may need to wait for a bit if the owner, Angie, is assisting another customer. The store is a bit tight with limited seating but we didn't mind because there was so much to look at (this was our first time wig shopping). Angie is so incredibly helpful and friendly. It doesn't feel like she's pushing products on you and while she makes suggestions, she encourages you to try what catches your eye. You can tell that she genuinely wants to help you find a piece that you're comfortable with/confident in, so no feel shame about asking to try on different styles! If you have a certain color, length, or style in mind but don't see it out on the floor, just let her know and she may have the perfect match in the back or in one of the boxes on the floor. It may seem "disorganized" to some but to me, it seems like Angie knew exactly where everything was--no frantically fumbling around. Again, she has a surprisingly wide variety of products despite the seemingly small shop!
Tip for chemo patients: it may help to bring in a reference photo of your hair pre-chemo. I showed Angie a photo and she was surprisingly able to find a wig that had nearly the identical type of highlights/hair color my loved one had pre-chemo.
She has kind of a hairdresser's set up with chair, big mirror, and handheld mirror so you can see the wig from different angles on you. She is very clear to repeat directions on how to wear, adjust, and care for the wig and wig cap. She also has a comb and spray bottle and gives tips on how to style to your preference, even with the same wig (more volume vs. more sleek, covering ears vs. behind ears, various part styles).
We were a bit nervous for our first wig shopping experience, especially with the vulnerability that comes with chemo hair loss, but Angie put us right at ease! It's also so cute that she calls you, "honey" when she's styling you
