It's a busy building in the morning, so give yourself some time to make it to the elevators and head up to the 14th floor where you walk into a serene world immediately. The sight, smell, and sound of the spa immediately draws you in. After settling in, I had the most amazing Salt Facial at Honolulu Spa & Wellness with the owner. I do not get facials regularly because I tend to leave the salon with sensitive skin that's all blotchy and red from the chemicals that were used. But getting a Salt Facial is so much different! No chemicals were used and the results were amazing. The salt used is a natural antibacterial and antimicrobial agent so my skin was not irritated one bit in the process. I learned this is one of the few places offering this service, so definitely take advantage of them having this service. The procedure started by cleansing my face and neck first. Then the Salt Facial followed with her using a wand that used all natural sea salt resurfacing to prep my skin for the next stages. I thought it was going to hurt for some reason , but it didn't at all and just felt like a deep exfoliation. I then had an aesthetic ultrasound to nourish and increase circulation of my skin, which helped whatever she used to get deeper into my skin. The next step was where I could really feel the treatment doing its job, and that was the LED light therapy! I did that for a couple of minutes and could feel my skin getting its natural glow back. The last part of my experience here was a hydrating face mask that I didn't even know I needed. The whole process felt so fast but gave such great results. My skin feels brighter and tighter, especially around my under-eye and cheeks where I felt like my skin was sagging a bit. I could just feel my skin was softer and had reduced the bumpiness in some areas that were affected by acne in the past. All in all a great experience and a facial I recommend to anyone that wants a natural approach to getting one. I am sensitive to chemicals and often left waiting for results after a couple of days, but with the Salt Facial results were immediate. Try it for yourself and thank me later that you did!

The comfortable spa table is prepped with a little steamer to get your face ready for treatment. The HydraFacial machine was explained to me. She also stated that if the process felt uncomfortable, I could alert her to adjust the pressure. The procedure helped to clean, exfoliate, and remove impurities from my skin. She then applied a serum of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The final application was sunscreen. While the untrained eye, probably couldn't SEE a difference after the HydraFacial, I could certainly FEEL the difference. Clean, fresh, and super rejuvenated! As a follow up, I came in for the Scultural Face Lift with Buccal Massage. This included lymphatic drainage (behind your ears) and microcirculation of my shoulders, neck, and jaw area. If you've never had a massage inside your mouth, try it! This helps to relax jaw muscles and many TMJ patients use this. Honey, you are worth it! Whether a special occasion or just because. i have been going to kbeautylab regularly for the past 5 months and have completed several…read moredifferent txs and wanted to write about my experiences. long review ahead! kbeautylab signature facial - this is a great intro facial to do to get a feel for the place and familiarize yourself with the process. the massage is amazing, i had so much tension in my neck and shoulders and afterwards i left relaxed and calm. potenza - ive done this twice and its a long appt due to the numbing cream sitting on your face for 20-40min. before the numbing cream though you get a thorough facial, neck, and chest massage. my absolute favorite parts are some sort of electromagnetic wand along the neck and shoulders. it does not hurt at all but wow it makes me twitch hella crazy and makes me laugh lol cuz i bet i look ridiculous! the first time i did the potenza tx did not hurt at all but the second time it felt like a bad sunburn that kept being poked. i especially love how they end the appt with an ice/cold wand. it settles the skin really well, very soothing. so 2 sessions and i can def tell a difference in my acne scarring, my face is smoother, the skin scanner says my face is brighter and my collagen levels have improved. pico - i did an add on tx in february for some dark melasma/hyper pigmentation that has developed around my eyes last year. there are several spots maybe pinky finger tip size that im very self conscious about. it was rec to spot tx it. so i got 4 of them done and had to wear a silicone bandage for 10 days. i did have to replace them all by day 5 but they gave me extras which was really nice of them. i will say though i was at first disappointed because it seemed like they got even darker! when i went back a month later for my second potenza i talked to them about it and they told me its normal and it will lighten up, just give it time, trust the process. and guess what? IT DID! when i went back in may (so 3 months in between) and did another face scan, there was a noticeable difference! i think it actually got much better by april, from a dark brown to like a beige (i'm fair skinned hapa). i just had to be PATIENT, religiously wear SPF and reapply every 2 hours (use a stick which is much easier on the go), and be CONSISTENT with skincare (i added vitamin C along with azelaic acid in mornings and tret at night). it's def not a quick fix, it's a long haul and it's totally up to you to take care of it post op so i'd like to think results may vary and so far mines going well! skin stamp - apparently this tx is suppose to be the most painful but i didn't feel a thing?! i got a massage, electro wand, facial, numbing for 30min and went to town with the stamping but i felt nothing! chloe (?) was very surprised and said i must have a high pain tolerance which i dont agree with, im a baby with pain haha. another ice wand and then i left with a collagen mask that she told me to try and keep on for several hours and then moisturize before bed. i literally just got this done today so hopefully i see some good results! all in all, i really enjoy the lab and look forward to every monthly (my choice) tx. i'm very happy with my results and i have rec several friends to try it out. best part is that it's in my neighborhood ho'opili, so convenient, no need drive to town!

Located in a residential area, google map made it fairly easy to find this place. When I arrived, I entered through a door and read the signs, putting my footwear on a shelf and used their house slippers. I walked up the stairs and there was a nice lady who provided guidance on what to do and where to go. I would have to say I was disappointed in my consultation. Although nice, the lady spent less than five minutes going over the consultation and didn't really explain anything other than to let me know to use sunscreen, take vitamin C and collagen and suggested anti aging addition to my facial (which I got) and pico laser if I come back (wasn't explained why). When I mentioned I made a last minute appointment she made a comment "oh you're the one." It kind of put me off a bit. I have to say though the facial was divine. I've had many facials in the past and it's been a while. My face was in dire need. The facial was so heavenly and my face felt soft, moisturized and clean and lasted for days. The massage was divine and left the place in a daze from being so relaxed. There is room sharing with another customer but she left shortly after I started. The ladies are very nice, the place is very clean. I will most likely come again, and hopefully get a more detailed consultation.

There were no spaces available but an attendant came out to open up a spot coned off as I informed of an appt at K1. I walked through the lobby and made a right street side. I was the only client in. I was greeted and asked to pick a color up front. A selection of colors from natural tones to catseye and even organic for $5 more. I sat by the window where water, a phone holder, and candy treats were placed on a tray in front of me. Great comfy chair design where the sink pulls out from underneath the chair. Two ladies immediately got to work to remove my existing gel color with their power tool then buffed it out before apply this gel overlay. It was my first time getting this clear base apparently making your nail bed stronger. When I put my hand into the dry to cure it, it was a bit too hot. She adjusted it and asked me to pull my hand out if that happens again vs putting my hand all the way in. She mentioned my nail is too thin. But after my first coat of color, I didn't have any issues. She did a great job shaping my nail to a square rounded edges. There was no hand massage but not sure if it was an add on or not. However, my pedicure did come with it as I do remember selecting it during my Yelp request. She used a cheese grater to exfoliate (I am starting to think this is only available in Hawaii as other nail salons do the same). She did a thorough job with my cuticles, filing, ensuring there were multiple coats with each curing. I enjoyed my leg foot massage especially since I play so much tennis, 3 hrs the previous day, so it was a nice treat. The place was quiet and relaxing, unlike most salons I go to in Cali where it's always packed with chit chatting or nail techs speaking loudly to ea other that I can fully enjoy myself. The only usual experience was the whole time I was there, there another woman standing behind the woman doing my manicure. This woman just stood there the majority of the time just observing and didn't say anything. Not sure if she was supervising or learning. It was just....odd??? Overall, the experience was nice. Check out was easy. CJ was really helpful. Pay by Credit card or cash (no discount). I ended up paying cc and left a tip on there. If memory serves me correctly, a gel mani gel pedi with removal and organic nail polish and tax was around $157 plus a 20% tip ($31ish). Be sure to brush out all tangles in your hair prior. Wear something easy to change out of for the top! My boyfriend and I arrived 5 minutes prior to our session for check-in. (Men deserve spa treatments too!) The business owner was so informative, upbeat and kind. The space was so inviting, lovely and clean. There are locked cubbies for your belongings and even small trays for jewelry. Bathroom available to customers. My technician's name was Danielle. I instantly felt comfortable and welcomed by her. Danielle was kind enough to walk me through the steps as well. She invited communication throughout the experience, in case I needed any adjustments. I enjoyed the relaxing experience in silence, as I prefer it--as no adjustments needed to be made. Danielle was obviously very skilled. I called her a healer because her magical hands alleviated all of my discomfort, stress and tension. My hair and scalp feel so much healthier and look amazing! I opted for the neck tightness treatment, which came with the perfect massage. Danielle had great attention to detail and was very considerate. Despite working 6 days of the week, Danielle was bubbly, hardworking and thorough. I will be sure to book with her again! My boyfriend had an equally positive experience with Sumi. They have Japanese hair products that they wash your hair with and give you a neck/shoulder massage as well while you're lying in a massage chair for true head to toe relaxation. Tara took amazing care of me, she was great and so so kind. If you're anything like me and like to prepare in advance, you don't need to fully remove your clothes but they do recommend you take the top portion off and use this tube-top thing they provide you with so they can massage your shoulder area. Small earrings are also fine to keep on but I believe you do need to remove any necklaces you have. I would 100% recommend this to anybody seeking a relaxing experience. You walk away with clean, refreshed hair too!

So y'all have been taking my membership payments, I have unused credits on my account, and my best friend literally just sent me a gift certificate for my birthday that was added to my account. My birthday is in two weeks and I was planning to use all of that. I need my money back, my credits back, and that gift certificate refunded too because this is crazy.
