Professional (sweet/amazing) prices for licensed beauticians only. Location: Deep in the boonies of Halawa. This spot is the main store on island so it is always busy. There are a couple other locations but this one is central. It's a bit unorganized in here but that's only because they are the most frequented location. So I'm glad that they are stocked. You can't miss it on the left as you're going down the hill. If you know where Hawaiian cement is and have been to Accel party rentals, you're going down the right path. Parking: A small lot with tight stalls. Good luck finding street parking..not much open during the week. Carts are outside that are super helpful to pick up all your necessities for the Salon. Grab one on the way in! Customer service: I walked right on in with a purpose but I'm pretty sure someone greeted me. I don't think I was checked upon but I'm sure I wouldn't have had a problem grabbing an associate that was floating around. Upon checking out, there was no reception to connect to the app. One of the cashiers suggested to go near the door. I'd recommend an in store WiFi so that it isn't an issue when you have to show your Cosmoprof account/license with a cart full and line behind.. My son and I went on 4/12 2021 to get products for my salon and noticed they had Babybliss Rose Gold Clippers on the shelf. I made an invoice back order of this product in NOV 2020 because it was on sale but not in stock. I checked back twice a month since and was always told it was still on back order. I was upset that they never called me to pickup the product in the first place but now the assistant manager PAM was telling me that they have just THROWN AWAY all of their previous back orders, fulfilled or not. She preceded to tell me that there was nothing she could do and that the price was NEVER that low. She did nothing to help resolve the problem and move forward. She continued this for about 5 minutes while the other associate Dana was on the phone contacting other stores to see if they had records of the sale. Pam continued to raise her voice towards me and my son had to come in between us to calm me down. I asked her many times to please lower her voice but she was insistent that "THE CLIPPERS HAVE NEVER BEEN ON SALE." Pam insisted that they was no way to override the price of the item even if the item was on sale. While my son was talking to Dana, I found a picture I took of the sale back in NOV and showed it as proof. After I showed her the picture then magically the computer allowed her to override the price. We were able to leave the store with the clippers for the sale price as well as Dana making another invoice for an additional clipper because my previous invoice was for 2. This was incredibly appalling and infuriating that the ASSISTANT MANAGER would claim it was me, the customers fault and make it my responsibility to prove they had a sale. After all was said and done, she never apologized once for the way she treated me and kept trying to "explain their procedures". Till this day, the store has not contacted me about this issue or about resolving it. read more

I love Cosmoprof! This location is located in halawa, past Hawaiian cement but turn right before going to halawa prison the go all the way down till you see their sign on the left hand side. Located next to Hawaii stationary and in the same parking lot as the times warehouse. They have a parking lot right in front of their store or in the back, you can also find street parking. On Saturdays the parking isn't bad at all, but if you come on the weekday the parking can be a little more challenging. As you walk in you always get greeted by someone standing at the register, usually it's Aileen.. hi Aileen! You usually have about two workers on the floor during the day stocking the shelves and helping licensed customers. Whenever i go there i always have tons of questions, due to me having a license but not in the field any more. There is always new products in their that I'm asking about. They will answer all your questions. All staff are knowledgeable with the products. I believe sometimes they have classes there to. I just love Cosmoprof they carry so many wonderful things. The stylist that work there are so sweet and always make time to help you with selecting the best products available... they really know everything about the products they sell. Cosmoprof also has a website to purchase products you can't find at their local stores or just hard to find products period. Unfortunately you have to have a beauty license to purchase products at Cosmoprof, but if you don't have a beauty license their sister store is Sally Beauty. It pays to purchase beauty products from a professional retailer. The products are much better then your regular store bought products, they last longer and is way gentler for your hair and skin. So if you like to do it your self to save money check out Cosmoprof or Sally Beauty for great products. read more

Come prepared to shop. This is one the most well stocked locations I've ever been to. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. So eager to talk and engage with me. The isles do have a lot of boxes but everything is super stocked so you're able to grab, pay and go. Lots of hot tools to choose from and a wide range of brands. Was really impressed with the amount of OlaPlex on the shelf and grateful too! Thanks for being my new CosmoProf location. I'm super thankful your location is in a less trafficked area and so I was able to get parking and leave effortlessly! read more

So I was just at this location not to long ago around 130pm 4/24/21. I'm so upset at the way the lady who rang me up and yelled at my 2 nephews for running around the store. I was already letting them know not to run around to begin with and she yelled at both of my nephews to stop running around as if I wasn't already trying to control it. Then she proceed to let them know "stop running around or there would be blood on the floor and on me and my boss is going to kill me." Super unprofessional and I don't think you should be talking to anyone's kids that way. She did not even greet us hello when we walked in nor did she say anything nice after she rang me up. I've been at this locations many times and majority of the employees here are nice except this one that rang us up today. read more

This is my go to beauty supply store. Love that they are open on Saturdays till 4 pm, as well as Monday thru Friday. Very accommodating hours. They carry a variety of brands, although not all, they have an extensive selection. Brands like Moroccan Oil, Matrix, Lanza, Biolage, Bead Head, Joico, Redken and many others. Nail Care brands like OPI, Morgan, couple of other brands too. They have everything for your highlighting and coloring needs, brushes, combs, hairdryers, flatirons, scissors, curling irons, clippers. They also have body care items like lotions and scrubs and supplies for professional pedicures or artificial nails. They also carry makeup and lashes, pretty much everything a beauty supply store should have. The staff is really friendly and helpful and have come to know their customers over the years, and it's just like visiting friends! You do need a beauty license (hairstylist, manicurist) to be able to shop here. read more

Stopped coming here about a year ago or so when Pandemic came around. (I started shopping with them at the original location in the Salt Lake area, if I remember correctly). Rod, behind the counter always greeted me with a smile when we entered. He's knowledgeable, always smiling and eager to help. I could stay for hours browsing at the wide selection of products. There was one frustrating experience however. They sold me the wrong pump for the liter of shampoo I had purchased. It didn't cost a whole lot but it didn't fit. I had taken it back the following month I was there. The woman went in the back and came with the correct-size pump. Unfortunately, when I got home and tried it, this one still didn't fit. That was just one isolated bad experience. All in all, this was my favorite place for products. Parking isn't a problem because there's more in the back of the building if the main lot is filled. read more

Great supply store for professionals. I always find what I need here. So glad they have Moroccan oil here also. They have a huge selection of hair products, hair colors, appliances and tools for the trade. As well as nail, waxing and facial items. The hours are pretty convenient although it would me nice for them to be open 7 days a week since almost all stylist work on Saturdays... lol. It is a bit hard to find at first but gps will help with that. Parking isn't hard to find especially since there's additional parking behind the store and sometimes there's street parking available. The staff try to be as helpful as they can but not always spot on as they aren't licensed I don't think so. read more

I like the location of this Cosmo prof because it's out of the hustle and bustle of the city. It's kind of a strange location nestled in between industrial buildings, in a quiet calm area of Oahu. If you have not been there before I urge you to GPS it so you don't get lost. The staff is defiantly not the most informative but they are friendly and if you ask kindly they can offer some assistance. The store is bigger then the other location I have been to in Honolulu and seems to hold more product. I can usually find most the things I need here for myself and clients! Sometimes they have really good sales! Once they had a deal for $15 for a full brown bag of products out of a sale pile in middle of store. I scored lots of hair products and bleach. Not sure of these items where old or not? But I felt like I was getting a good deal! read more

Just a waist of time. Waisted an hour here shopping for hair color just to find out that students can't buy chemical products without a permission slip. Yeah seriously. It is especially redundant when I already purchased bleach and dyes from cosmo prof previously, the cashier didn't even explain why or when the sudden change. In fact it felt very standoffish just "I can't sell you these without a note from your teacher." Why no memo to students or schools? No consideration for people's busy schedule and how valuable our time is. Regardless if being students, we are patrons. The other beauty supplies do not do this. read more

Went in on the last day of the sale...half off, so I didn't want to miss out. Even got the last two products on the shelf. However, at the register, I was charged full price. When I pointed out the discrepancy, they looked at the sale tag and told me I was wrong. Ok, so I just bought one, thinking I misread the ad. Bugged me so I looked at the ad at home. I was correct! Luckily, I live nearby, so I'll return to get a price adjustment. But what a hassle! It's the closest beauty store so I'll be back but I'll be sure to double check the receipt! read more

I knew there was a Cosmoprof hidden back in Halawa but it's been more convenient for me to use the Honolulu store coz I can make a loop to all 3 places I go for supplies. That being said - this location is bigger, comfortable to walk thru AND is OPEN on Saturdays!!! Fabulous. read more

I've placed an item on hold for my mother since she didn't have time to grab it, so when I called the lady she was really disrespectful and started giving me attitude when I told her I couldn't pick it up today and that I'll be there on Saturday, such bad customer service. I love going here. Even though it is a 40 min round trip. WELL WORTH THE DRIVE! The staff is so friendly. They are always sweet to my son being that he goes in with me every time. They give keiki animal cookies or whatever snack they have on hand. The store is clean and well stocked. It doesn't look like a warehouse. read more

This place is great, but it only gets 2 stars because they don't have many things in stock. They almost never have wahl replacement taper blades and they don't even sell the Oster T-finisher shave blade.. they only sell the regular one. They don't even sell Andis-T trimmers. I can't make money if I don't have the necessary tools.. which they do not provide when it comes to hair cutting tools. I have to resort to buying online. I understand we're on an island and things take longer to ship over and things run out extremely fast.. however, with all the new cosmetology students and barber students and the tons of people who already work in the business they should really order more stuff. This is the most populated island in hawaii after all.. very frustrating. read more
