This Walgreens is off US 75 and FL-301. It is off on a side road so you have to look for the sign so you can turn at the light. I've been to this Walgreens about 6 times for different things, each time using the pharmacy, as well as, purchasing items. I've had 2 shots and got prescriptions here. Every person has been nice and professional doing their job as fast as possible. This store does get extremely busy so there can be a bit of a wait despite 8 people working the last time I was here. I do recommend this Walgreens and will be back since it's the closest Walgreens. Just be prepared for a wait. read more

I called today with my second script that I needed filled in just a couple of days. They told me it would be three days they had to order it just like they told me previously on my other script that they miraculously were able to fill after I questioned them. In the process of telling me that she had to check ( both these scripts were common drugs nothing difficult ) she hung up on me. So I just transferred my scripts to a local area pharmacy that was able to fill it. In the process I transferred all of my scripts to them I'd rather support a local business any way read more

Ellenton Walgreens is the WORST Walgreens period - called to check on Rx status, told will be ready in 1 hr, stop by late in the day and told they won't fill it - even with doctor and physician's staff sending in prescription on 2 separate occasions, they refuse to fill it - they say they need doctors approval - well, who do you think sent the prescription in???? Worst pharmacy ever - My doctor called in my prescription early in the morning - they informed me that they were out of stock at 5:00 and they could not fill or transfer my prescription on a Friday before a 3-day holiday weekend. If they had processed it in a reasonable amount time, my doctors office would have still been open and it could have been sent to another pharmacy that had it in stock. Leaving people without their prescriptions for days is not ok and was completely preventable. They are the absolute worst read more

My Walgreens is in Ellenton, Florida. DO NOT go to the drive through to drop off a prescription. Go somewhere else. NOT WALGREENS !!!! They have 2 lanes. The one on the right has a sign (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE) that reads "Pickup Prescriptions" with an arrow pointing to the left window. With NO way to drive through the right window to drop off. So I called (after waiting in line 1/2 hour behind only FOUR cars) They said the speaker doesnt work in that lane Common sense tells you (and I told her) "replace the sign blocking the right lane with one that says PICK UP PRESCRIPTIONS AND COVID TESTS USE LEFT LANE. OR IF YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO US USE LEFT LANE. And MOVE the sign so DROP OFFs can drive to the right window aaarrrggghhh Common Sense is not Common ANYMORE GO ELSEWHERE !!!! read more

They told me they did not have the product even though I drove all the way there out of my way and guess what they had the product lazy asses don't wanna do their job and it was a manager that actually went to go look for it is what they told me really close. Went to the drive thru pharmacy tonight. After waiting 30 mins in line, the older, not friendly at all, lady told me I had to come back for my Rx. She gave me no reason, then walked away from the window, and never came back! It was about 5pm on a Friday and there was about 6 cars behind me! She let me sit there for about 10 mins without her coming back, and I finally had to drive away!?! No Rx, no explanation! I wish I could've seen her name thru the window. Horrible read more

This is our home pharmacy. They work very hard and do a good job. My prescriptions are filled correctly. Wait times are usually short. It is a Walgreen's after all. They're basically all the same IMO. I find the staff hardworking, courteous, and helpful. Recommended. read more

Pharmacy Review: In all my years, I have NEVER had a prescription filled incorrectly. In all my years I've NEVER had my prescriptions filled anywhere other than Walgreens (in every state I've lived in). I've even had to have prescriptions filled while out of town while vacationing & that was a pleasant experience. But then I encountered this Walgreens Pharmacy and I have had two mishaps within two weeks. First, they give me someone else's testosterone. I'm still trying to figure out how that happened because the bottle had my name on it and I've never had a prescription for testosterone (clearly I don't need it). When asked how did it happen the response was "I don't know". Then the following week they shorted me by about 60 pills. When I called I got a "call center" who then transferred me to "Jamie" (@ this local pharmacy). While explains to her that I hadn't received all of my pills the phone disconnected. Guess what happened next, I called the local number & got the "call center" again who had to transfer me. "Jamie" answers again and I told her I was just placed on hold & she went into the drama about how she didn't put me on hold it must have been someone at "customer service" BUT yes I had just talk to her but I have to call back the next day to talk to the pharmacist about my issue. However, the next morning "Jamie" called me back to tell me I could come pick up the rest of my pills. ?????? No apology, nothing! I'm really a person of consistency & I don't want to change to Publix but I can't risk another error & the lack of urgency to correct it. Maybe I'll just have to resort to going to a different location. :( read more

Without a doubt the worst, unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced. After being overcharged, I went back in, asking for a refund. I was then called a liar, yelled at, and humiliated by a cashier. The Asst. Manager also said I was wrong, but I proved I was in the right. The head store manager was also very rude and unprofessional to me. When I stated that I am always treated badly at that store, he called me a liar. Avoid this Walgreens at all costs! read more

This is the worst Walgreens ever!!! You can never go in the store without a line of five or more people! And do you think they would call up another cashier? Of course not! I have to ask the cashier to call another cashier up. And then when the other cashier finally does arrive, all the people in the back of the line go over to that cashier rather than the cashier saying next person in line and making sure people are taken care of in proper order of wait times. Sigh. How hard can this be? Just terrible. I shop at CVS now. Better prices. Nicer, more INTELLIGENT employees and never out of stock on items. As for the pharmacy, it is absolutely horrendous!!! I cannot tell you how many problems I have had with this pharmacy!!!!! The tall, thin gentleman pharmacist is very nice and very efficient, however, he does not process the orders. This is the start of the problems. They don't look at your history to see how you buy things, so orders get delayed with wrong quantities or wrong billing methods or second guessing of what a doctor has ordered for you. Literally the worst experience I have ever had at a Walgreens. The cashier Jasmine was very rude, unprofessional and I basically had to force her to help me. Complete attitude from the minute I walked into the store until I walked out. I asked her to help me with my photo order pick up and she replied immediately with "give me a minute." This response would have been fine if it wasn't with a attitude like she was being interrupted by a CUSTOMER, also not to mention there was NOT another person in sight- customer or employee. I walked away to get tooth paste and when I came back I stood by the photo counter. She looked over pretended not to see me and started messing with some batteries on the wall (working I guess) I then again asked can you help me? She said with what? I said I need to pick up a photo order. She silently began to walk over to me and another customer who was walking to the front simply asked her, would you like me to also check out at the photo counter. She replied back with NO, turned around and walked back over to her register to check him out first. Kidding me right? If you needed to stay at the front I totally understand but she simply could have explained to me I need to stay here and will call for help. You do not help another customer before one who is patiently waiting for you and was clearly first. She went about it completely rude and unprofessional! Because of one employee I will only be going to the cvs across the way instead. When I went to check out with her she completely ignored me, no eye contact and not one word like I am sorry, or even have a great day. Give me a break! You hate your job? Quit!
