The pharmacist in store are very nice. And if you need to talk to a person when you call, a real live person will call you back in less than an hour, usually around 15 minutes. I know they have to be crazy busy, after Winn-Dixie closed all their pharmacies and CVS thankfully took on all us Winn-Dixie Rx refugees. It would not have been fun for all those people to try to find a new pharmacy on their own. But CVS is doing a great job. Drive-through can be a long wait sometimes, but I've also been through the drive-through in less than five minutes. So that really just depends on the luck of your timing.

It came up with Walmart Retail Me Not Coupon at $29.19. She refused to accept it, though all the information was current and correct. She kept saying the first 3 letters (as if it was a different drug) of the generic name (prescription was entered with both generic and trade names) as was listed on the Walmart Rx saver coupon. I explained to her that it was the same medication. The assistant didn't get the Pharmacist, when I asked for the Pharmacist. We can't let 'assistants' with inadequate ability/education try to disallow a perfectly good coupon. I wonder what would happen if the patient has less medical education than myself? They could switch prices on them, which in this case was more than $50. I usually don't have problems with Walmart pharmacies. I will also report this to Walmart Corporate who enters into the RxSaver Coupon Contracts. BUT the immediate solution is that the Pharmacist with the license, speak with the patient when requested and more closely supervise their 'assistants'. Pharmacies are 1 important area where 'assistants' with inadequate ability/education are allowed to do more than they should .......but the Pharmacist on duty is ultimately responsible.

The pharmacy was a bit slow with a prescription order that we dropped off at 7pm, and by 7:45 it was still not ready, although we didn't see any other customers, so we went to get some groceries, and when we got back at 8pm, they had already closed and left for the night. So another trip back the next day to get the meds. At least they weren't super important meds. The shelves are stocked pretty well most of the time, and they seem to have a better meat selection than Publix up the road a short drive. Not the best place, but not the worst, ha. We all need groceries and this place being the closest, makes it the best if not just for convenience. Prices seem on par with other low cost grocery stores. And they have coupons, a discount card, and deals that can be great such as the spend $30+ and get a 15lbs turkey for only $6, that normally sells for about $30. This was a few days prior to Thanksgiving. Their deli has hot foods ready to take and go for those on a lunch break or wanting a quick low cost meal. I think 8 pcs of friend chicken was about $6, and they have several other items to choose from too and can do catering.

I received both a text from Sun Express Pharmacy (which is neither my usual pharmacy nor anywhere near our home), and a call from Luis from Sun Express the very next day (!!) that my meds were ready, with a co-pay of "x" dollars due (as my two health insurances wouldn't cover "combo" drops). When asked, Luis suggested I call my doc to see if he would split the combo, and that maybe then the cost would be covered by insurance. My doc did call in a new script - and again I received both a text notification AND Luis called me back that the split script was ready, but that splitting out the drops actually totaled more than the combo drops! Of course I opted to revert to the combo drops - which were delivered the very next day! Bonus: FREE DELIVERY! Bravo to SunCoast for their customer service and working with me for the best result. Their familiarity with the various ins and outs of insurance companies is much appreciated!
