My wife & I have used Walgreens since moving here 6 years ago. Up until the past 2 years I've been happy with their service. Pharmacy wait times are ridiculous. Last year I contacted Walgreens twice after waiting 45 minutes plus to pick up prescriptions. A district manager contacted me for additional information but nothing was done to improve wait times. Completely unprofessional, Michael, K had a terrible attitude when I came in to fix my printing mistake for my pictures and then after walking away after altercation continue to say rude things then when confronted backtracked and acted like he said absolutely nothing wrong completely unprofessional And unsightly. Pharmacist was rude and unwilling to fix a mistake they made. New script was ignored and fill based on "past history" instead of new script information. When I asked him if he read the script he said yes, but filled it based on past history and there was "nothing he could do". So now I only have 30 of the 90 days the script was written for. They were sent multiple prescriptions for my daughter and her post surgery meds and have made me come back several times due to them only filling 1 out of 4 scripts, came back and they only filled 1 more out of the 4 then I came back when told to come back for the remaining 2 and was told they hadn't started working on them but will start right away and for me to come back yet again. Another blunder by Walgreens, I hate the fact that my insurance only uses the Walgreens for prescription service. Here is what happened now. We have family in Spain and we had some family members pass away and new nephew born, we plan to be there for a few months since we stay with family. I am on thyroid medications and I can't live without it, my doctor ordered additional pills that will cover me during my time out of the country. Well... Walgreens would not fill the extra pills I need to have while I am out of the country. So now Walgreens is telling doctors what and how much to prescribe. This is worse than communism, Walgreens employees are control freaks who want to impose their will over the public without a medical license. So frustrating and I hope these people face Karma in a negative way. I need to change pharmacy and if that means changing doctors and insurance, so be it. Today I received a call from Walgreens telling me that the prescription I requested was rejected by my doctor... the problem was I did not request any prescription renewal. Walgreens even called my prior (previous) doctor for approval when I no longer see her. I explained what happened to the lady who answered and she transferred me to the pharmacist. When the pharmacist answered my call and she confirmed she was the pharmacist before I started to tell her my story, again; after she heard my story and I asked her to remove that doctor from my file since she should not be bothered, she basically said she did not have time for me and put me back on hold queue, a hold that was longer than an hour, horrible customer service, not sure how this location is still in business. read more

I had to call the 1800, who called the manager Nelson who admitted to the 1800 rep he knew I was out there but he was in his office , and didn't have anyone to bring my order to my car . I really do not like giving one star reviews but this Walgreens is absolutely the worst I have ever visited. After traveling the kids and I decided to take Covid test as a precaution. I scheduled an appointment for all three of us two days prior. We arrived well before our appointment time and found a extremely long line for the window Lane where tests are administered, which we expected. By the time we got to the window we had been waiting in line for 45 minutes and the tech at the window advised us that she needed a few minutes to get our paperwork together....30 mins later she was sending the test through the window. We've taken tests at Walgreens before but not this particular one and it has NEVER taken this long. It's usually in and out. Whenever the wife prints pictures, this is where I have to go. That's the only reason I've been here more than once. The place is absolutely criminally understaffed. This particular trip, 3 people asked me if I'd been helped, and when I said "no, not yet" the employee just walked off. 3 times, with three different people. This is a common occurrence here. Every time I come, I'm waiting at least 5 minutes at the counter, having a great time staring at the various knickknacks they want me to buy. What really gets me is that when the photo clerk eventually shows up and gets your prints, she/he will take your pictures out to show them to you. I absolutely do not want my pictures flashed around for anyone standing near me to see! I get it, you want me to be okay with them before I leave. But I don't want you showing pictures of my pets to the old lady behind me. Because now she wants to know my corgi's name, and then tell me all about her maltese that she has at homOH GOD GO AWAY The checkout process is further slowed by the cashier asking various upsell questions. No I don't have a Walgreens Points Plus Club(tm) Membership Card. No I don't want to donate to [charity name]. And then the credit card swiper's touch screen asks me how much I want to donate to [entirely different charity name]. Just let me buy pictures and leave. You've already seen blurry, awful photos of my dog, and showed them to the lady behind me. I want to go try to escape your terribly-set up parking lot. The health insurance we were paying forced us to use Walgreens. We had problems from the very beginning. We had to cancel our insurance for now...so we've had to pay out of pocket. The pharmacy knows this yet every time I go my prescriptions are not ready. I've repeatedly called them over and over again. And this is for blood pressure medication!! I won't even begin to tell you about my prescription!! I called CVS today and the blood pressure med is being transferred back to them!! Pharmacy line is horribly long and staff is nasty to customers. Staff incorrectly insisted that my Rx insurance didn't cover my Rx, wouldn't honor the GoodRx coupon that according to GoodRx they should have taken. I paid hundreds for a single Rx. Insurance company couldn't get a hold of them. After hours of waiting in line, waiting on hold and waiting to connect pharmacy w insurance, they admitted they entered the incorrect information and that my insurance did in fact cover my Rx. What should have taken 5 min took multiple hours but I needed get back the $800 that I had paid for a single Rx. The staff didn't apologize and treated me and other customers very rudely, "going on break" when the line was long. Others had similarly frustrating experiences at the counter and those waiting in the cars were made to wait as well. Staff was giving un called for attitude and misinformation costing me hundreds and lots of wasted time because they don't know how to enter a number correctly or bother to check anything they do before insisting to the customer. read more

The most inept and inconsiderate pharmacy I've ever dealt with (and the one in Sun City Center.) They leave you on hold for long periods of time and then hang up on you when it's your turn. Call back and it happens over and over. The automated call will say they have insurance issues when they're the ones with the issues, because they don't use the proper DUR codes. They won't have medications in stock and if you don't follow up, they never let you know when they get it back in stock. The lines in store and at the drive thru are almost always at a crawl. They truly could care less about you as a human being. God forbid your doctor change your prescription. That will confuse the pharmacists forever, no matter how many times you explain it to them. You can tell by their ratings that they don't attempt to get better. It's scary that your life is literally in their hands. Please, do yourself and your loved ones a favor and don't go here. I'm retired from the medical field and I'm done with this place, once and for all. The one in Sun City Center is just as bad. They should both be shut down! It's currently wrapping around 2 sides of the building. Inside is just as bad as the person in front of me who left the drive through line to go inside has not come out yet. Decided to shop there today due to their flyer in the paper and all the toy deals. Many were buy 2 get 1 free or buy 2 get 2 free. With lots of great nieces and nephews this was a steal. They had a nice variety of toys for both boys and girls and all ages. The store is very well organized and clean. I picked up some Christmas cards that were on a stand labeled buy one get one 50% off so I picked up 4 but they would not ring up as on sale. When they went to check someone forgot to take down the sign as the sale ended yesterday. Nice that places still honor their mistakes so they went and took the price and adjusted it. The check out clerk was extremely friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Definitely a store I will visit again especially since I got a $10 coupon to use! Always love free stuff!!! read more
