This is hands down my fav one. It's in Winthrop so it has that extra something. The staff here are super friendly, more so than other stores. They have a great manager that came over from one of the Lithia stores, Jonathan. He runs a tight ship and is so helpful. I usually need assistance finding whatever imported cheese is on bogo for the week. Yes one of my weaknesses is imported cheeses. The cashiers tend to remember me and ask me how I am doing. Including international foods, fresh baked goods, fresh produce, cheeses and meats, pharmacy items and so much more. They also have an assortment of beer and wine. No lines or waiting to check out. The way the store manager (SCOTT) talked me was absolutely unacceptable especially from an "customer service" standpoint. I simply brought to the standing management that was there about the extremely long wait for the sub line. Which clearly waiting an hour anyone would be frustrated. So I wasn't even talking to him but I was to Fabian who was very understanding and handle the situation with respect and "Listened" to me just to simply have lack of understanding and disregard a paying customers feelings/frustration is unacceptable from leadership. I deal with customers over the phone day in day out. So of course I get frustrated at times, you are not suppose allow your customers to see or hear that from you. So many more professional ways Scott could have handled that situation. None the less thanks to Fabian for taking leadership above and beyond for the company and turning things around for me. Him simply listening and hearing me went a long way thank you. I hope this gets to district and is addressed appropriately. read more

This is not my usual Publix. But I wish it was! The friendliness, courteous, and helpful staff is amazing at this location! I was acknowledged quite a few times as I wandered through the store. The store is very crisp and clean and the prices listed on the tags at the shelf rang correctly at the register. Kudos to this location! read more

Give yourself an hour to get some cold cuts and prepare yourself to answer to both the cashier and bagger that you gum is just fine in the bag. As for all Publix, they need to double the pay and the staff for its deli. read more

Lifetime publix customer lost because of a rude deli clerk named Zoi. I asked her for a turkey sandwich. She proceeded to put ham. When I stopped her and told her that was ham not turkey she snapped at me and said "that's turkey!!" Upon her saying that another deli clerk Bryce intervened telling her it was indeed ham not turkey. She then began literally throwing my toppings onto my sandwich while looking to the side and barely saying "anything else". I spend atleast 20 dollars a day at lunch and ur store and I'm extremely disappointed. This clerk does represent the usual feel I get at publix but nonetheless I will be taking my business elsewhere for sure read more

They false advertise and never honor the prices that they post in the store. I went to buy water and saw that zephyrhills 12 pack was on sale for 2.99 and when I went to the register it rang up 5.49. I showed her where I got the flyer and the cashier still would not honor the price. Almost every week when I buy fruit I always have to return them because I'm store when I check them out they are good but as soon as I put in the fridge and take it out an hour later or the next day to eat it is always bad. Publix has got to do better otherwise I will take my family and friends to never shop there, today was my last day shopping there. read more

Just wanted to reiterate the amazing customer service at this location. I went in to buy some greeting cards yesterday. I was greeted twice as I walked past the manager as he was stocking shelves. Once he asked if I needed any help. The second time he asked me if I'd found everything okay. When I got to the register, I hadn't realized the cards were on sale, but the cashier grabbed a coupon to scan, giving me the discount. This Publix has the best customer service! read more

One of my favorite locations, I'm always in and out of this one. I also think it looks nicer than most Publix stores, not that any of them don't look nice. I've read the one bad review for the deli here, but personally, I've never had an issue with this deli. And that reviewer seems to like 1 star reviews. This has to be one of the nicest Publix locations I have been to. My family has shopped here for years and it wasn't until prices at Super Target recently dropped that was split our shopping between Publix and other stores. The entire building is made of brick (the entire Winthrop Plaza is a great aesthetic addition to Brandon/Riverview), and the employees here are always friendly. I'll usually make my way to the back and grab some sushi while shopping...I actually think they have pretty decent sushi here. The bakery is satisfactory as well and who doesn't love getting some Boars Head cold cuts...my personal favorite is the Boards Head Salami. Delicious. read more

John Saventino (I believe that's how you spell it) from the deli made my sandwich tonight and I cannot express how kind and informative on the meal I was purchasing he was. For a while I was considering I was done with pub-subs because of how long the wait was, but this man works at such a fast an efficient pace and made my sandwich exactly how I'd like it. Pretty Publix, but can not stand how few registers they have open. Always one to two registers short. Of course they usually open one after I am trapped in by the cold sodas and people waiting for two second get to leave before me. It happens everywhere sometimes. Happens at this Publix every time. My favorite Publix up the road never has this problem. Even the worst day and long line they are faster than this place. Always clean, always stocked, always super friendly staff. The manager I see is always working hard in all positions of the store and always smiling and engaging with the customers. I can't remember his name but he is a tall black man with glasses....so nice! They have dinner ideas out to sample a lot and I have actually decided to make that for dinner several times after sampling because what they make is so good! This Publix is so clean, not as crowded as some of the other nearby locations, and the staff is extremely helpful! We were pushing our cart out and two of our waters fell off the bottom of the cart not one but two of the employees stopped picked them up, offered to go get us new ones and then carried them to our car. I visit this Publix often and usually have a great experience. I love the kind staff. Also, the Publix is a good size and has a lot to offer. The Publix closest to my house is smaller and has less to choose from, so I prefer this one and don't mind travelling the extra distance to do a big shop. Not to mention their deli is great and friendly. This location is also very clean! I love the design of the outside. It is unique. The entire plaza is gorgeous. It makes you want to walk inside with the bricks and old fashioned English style architecture. I have lived all over the Tampa area and this is by far my favorite location. read more

coolest looking publix ive seen. very old world looking with the brick and huge Columns. fish market is great same with meat department. the deli is always slow and only half the ppl seem to care to be there same goes with managers. over all its really nice and most the time you can get in and out. its clean and they carry most of the things i like. the main reason for only 3stars is the deli wait and i dont always like the way managers deal with things. read more
