Oh wow! I love this Publix! It is so clean and the design makes it feel more than a super market! I love that they have so many prepared options and it's great to pop in during lunch time to grab something quick on the go! I also love their individual drink selection and their is so many options to pick from. They have a huge cheese selection as well as a large wine selection. The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to make sure I had a pleasurable experience while I'm shopping. If in the area, I recommend going to this Publix. They offer so much more than your average Publix!

I've been waiting so long for this new Publix to open. I admittedly would go to the older run-down Publix more than the one on Lithia Pinecrest mainly because it's the closest and they had some things (like German honey) that the other one didn't have. What I hated was that their bakery items weren't the freshest and you had to walk to the back of the store to get sandwiches and hot soup. Well, all of that has changed now that they moved over to the corner of the plaza where Walmart used to be. The same wonderful employees are there. They're always so nice and helpful. They look happier because they now have the newest Publix in the area. It's going to take me a while to get used to the layout but I think it's better for the most part. I like that the deli and sandwich making is all at the front of the store. If you walk around it, you will also see where the hot food and chicken is located. They have the olive bar and sushi bar there as well. There's also a salad bar and soup bar to the left of the deli as you walk into the store. The grab and go section is to the right of the deli. Everything is right there and you don't have to walk straight to the back. Some other things that I like is that they still have the same ethnic specialty aisle that I love. Everything is located in different places on that aisle but I did eventually find my German honey. The spice aisle is amazingly organized. I was also super happy that the bakery items are fresher and they have more breads on display (some sliced and some whole). I also saw the long loaves of Casino Cuban bread (a local favorite) in the back of the store. Oh, and did I mention the beer and wine section? Just wow! They even have a place where you can sample their selected wines of the day. They have about 6 to 8 taps for sampling. I can't remember the exact number. How cool is that? The lighting is also a big plus. The other one used to be so dim. This location is nice and bright. I feel much peppier when shopping. There are some negatives and yes I'm being nit-picky. None of which are deal breakers for me but I just have to mention. I really hate that the milk is in a closed case. That means you have to wait behind others to get the milk that you want unless you're looking for a different brand and it happens to be in a separate case. I get that it's more eco-friendly and saves energy, but it certainly doesn't save time for the shopper. The parking situation is good, but you'll have to fight traffic at the front of the store if you intend to use the Bell Shoals exit to get out of Bloomingdale Square. They didn't design that exit very well. Many people turn left and I've seen a long line of cars waiting for the traffic light to turn green. The line has extended all the way to the entrance of Publix. Oh, and the left turn situation at that light is dangerous because they don't have a left turn signal. On days when it's busy, I will use the traffic light on Bloomingdale. Other than that, I love the new Publix! This will now be my main location. I can't wait to check out the chicken wing day buffet that Tim previously mentioned in his review. I didn't see it on the days that I've been there, but it sounds fantastic. I hope they make it a regular thing.

The bakery did AN AMAZING JOB! I honestly thought it was too last minute to ask for this request especially for Memorial Day weekend (came Thursday night for Saturday pick up). Huge thank you to the Bakery team!

As a fan of Publix, I was quite intrigued to see that this new location had finally opened. If you live in the Brandon/Valrico area, then you probably know about the old Publix in the Bloomingdale Square plaza right off of Bell Shoals and Bloomingdale. The store has been around forever, but times they are a changing. They just opened this new concept store (still in the same plaza) where the old Walmart was, and I have to say it's very cool. The modern day supermarket seems to be trying to appeal mostly to the millennial generation, as this store looks more like a connivence store than a traditional grocery. They have a ton of grab and go options lining the refrigerated cases on the interior walls, as well as a giant buffet that had four different sections. There a big salad bar, cold pastas, as well as hot foods, and there's different selections of soups at one end. What I thought was very cool was that one section of the hot foods has a different theme every day, so you won't get bored of the options. When I went it was wing day, and they had about 10 different flavors of each chicken wing, which would be perfect for Saturday and Sunday football. All in all, very cool layout and you get the usual over the top, incredible customer service that Publix is renowned for, so you can't go wrong. Cool to see how the supermarket business has evolved since I was a kid, bravo Publix!

Well, they've earned their rating with good reason!…read more A friend and I went on a bit of an unplanned adventure yesterday as the first place we were going to go to was closed for an event. After driving 30 minutes to that place in Plant City and realizing this, we decided, "why not drive some more?". Josephine's was on my radar due to their great reviews across multiple platforms, so we drove another 20-30 minutes to check it out. We arrived at the unsuspecting strip plaza, walked in to what was just one well lit, cozy strip in the plaza and were immediately greeted by Robby, the owner, who asked us if it was our first time in. We let him know that it was, and he proceeded to educate us on everything they have to offer, from their bar, their sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas, grocery and so on... the meatball sandwich was calling my name, along with their pizzas and their pastas - so many choices! I did land on the meatball sandwich and got a bag of chips and a glass of wine while my friend got the Italian salad and a coke. For note, this ran us about $45. It was well worth it. The meatball sandwich was 10" and was stuffed with fully ground beef meatballs, seasoned well and very cheesy - so good. I tasted the salad and it was great as well, with plenty of parmesan cheese to cover up the taste of leaves that I was consuming (I'm not a vegetables guy still). While we were dining at the bar, Robby took a bit more time to tell us how the store came to be, being named after his grandmother who, though she wasn't around to see what he had started, would no doubt be very proud as his/his employee service was excellent and the food was no different. At the end of our experience, Robby took our payment and we explored the store a bit. Robby was kind enough to offer me two of their mini cannolis and my friend a scoop of their salted caramel gelato on the house as a way of saying thank you for coming in; again, EXCELLENT service. Since leaving there yesterday, I have recommended the place to 7 people and will continue recommending it to more people due to their great value, service and delicious food. Huge thanks to Robby and the team at Josephine's for knowing how to do things the right way. I'll definitely be back.

After returning from our honeymoon in Italy, my husband and I were on a mission to find pizza,…read moreItalian subs, and authentic Italian foods that reminded us of our trip. We stumbled upon Josephine's Italian Market, less than 15 minutes from our home, and it has become one of our favorite special-occasion spots. The market itself is such a fun experience. They have a thoughtfully curated selection of imported Italian products, a refrigerated and freezer section with prepared foods to take home, shelves of authentic pantry staples, a small espresso and Italian beverage bar, and a fantastic deli with fresh meats like prosciutto, capicola, and everything you'd hope to find in a true Italian market. One thing that really stood out was how welcoming everyone was. I brought my toddler with me, and instead of feeling like I was trying to juggle shopping while keeping him entertained, the staff genuinely embraced him. They were so kind and engaging that it made the entire visit relaxed and enjoyable. Now for the food... absolutely incredible. Their Hot Honey Pizza is easily one of the best pizzas I've had outside of Italy, and their authentic Italian sub is unquestionably in my top five ever. The chicken cutlets, salads, and other prepared foods have all been consistently outstanding. I also love browsing their selection of authentic Italian wines to take home. Is it more expensive than grabbing pizza or subs from a chain? Absolutely. But the quality, authenticity, and overall experience make it worth it. We don't think of Josephine's as an everyday stop--we think of it as our go-to place for special occasions, family gatherings, or anytime we want to treat ourselves to food that genuinely reminds us of Italy. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, exceptional sandwiches, outstanding pizza, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Josephine's Italian Market is absolutely worth the visit. We're so grateful to have a place like this so close to home!

I pull the trigger and decided to try the sprouts brand vegan protein shake. Its yellow pea base. The one i had yesterday was the vanilla one but went with the big tub of non flavor. I cannot find whey in non flavored anywhere so this was a great find. I need the extra protein to boost my Keto snacks up. Like im loosing weight in a healthy window but i am feeling the missing addition of protein. This will make my keto pizza, almond cookies and breads get what they are lacking. Might even sprinkle over my kale chips or blend it into my peanut butter. Amp that bad boy up! Madam up front recommended i register into the member program. Saved me -$10 pn the protein powder. Im so happy! I also gound a massive salad for $13 bucks. Its like big enough for 2-3 people!
