I was looking for the phone number to fill my prescription. I saw that this pharmacy is rated two stars. I couldn't disagree more!! I have always been treated very well there. I have observed all the pharmacists and pharmacy personnel treat every person on line with respect. In the last 2 years the services of the CVS pharmacy in Sun City Center have become EXCEPTIONAL. This includes the speed with which prescriptions are filled, the responsiveness of pharmacists, the ability to track prescriptions and the communications they have with doctors' offices to get prescriptions refilled. The communications to the customer through the CVS app on the status of medications is truly awesome especially for those of us handling meds for multiple people. The counseling at prescription pickup is extremely valuable especially when the customer has numerous prescriptions. I receive text communications daily and would not be able to assist other people with their medications but for the above and beyond services of this pharmacy. In my attempt to assist others with their meds I know that I am not alone - the pharmacy has my back. read more

Beware for passport photos. I went to this CVS to get my passport photo completed. I sent it in with my renewal only to have it rejected. Although the picture looked ok I realized that the interior size of the subject in the photo was not correct. This caused delays, fees, and undo travel for corrections. I relied on them to do the right thing. I ended up going to AAA as their camera and equipment is certified by the government. Plus with a premium membership the picture was free. $16 at CVS. Doctor sent a 90 day supply prescription and one refill for BP to the Sun City Center, FL CVS. They would not fill it unless I called the pharmacy, after waiting on hold for 45 minutes, that was the last straw for me after several issues with this pharmacy. So, I tried to transfer all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy but the pharmacist at the place I was trying to transfer to, told me that CVS told him that I have no prescriptions available to transfer. None. Despite the fact that I have 4. So, now I'm on day two without my high blood pressure medication because now the prescription can't be found at all. My BP is 177/119 and blood vessels are bursting in my right eye. My doctor has tried calling CVS three times and can't get through to confirm what is going on with this. I am shocked by the level of incompetence I've experienced at this pharmacy. read more

This might be the worst CVS I've been to in the country. I've come here multiple times over the past 2 years. The pharmacy is horrible!!! There is always a long wait for anything at the pharmacy and often they send you to wait in another line once you finally get help. The store layout is crowded and confusing. The lighting is oddly low. The parking lot is also hard to get in and out of. Def find another drugstore if you can. There are a few others nearby. read more

This store was a bit slow to help me with some prescriptions I needed to fill. I am used to taking a script in and walking out within 1 hour with meds, but I was told I would need to come back as it may take several hours to get my meds. Overall the store was similar as the other CVS stores in what it stocked and its layout, but this place was a bit older and needs a bit of a face lift. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. Parking is a bit odd how you pull in then turn sharp to get to the front of the building by the entry doors, and parking is a bit tight maneuvering around, and even when leaving and heading back to the street, you have to closely watch for other cars to avoid a fender bender. But not much can be done to correct this, this is just because I image the store was built many years ago. read more

Im not used to negative ratings because I know for many-though they don't act like it-this may be their livelihood. CVS Apollo Beach is a mess! For 6 days I have been waiting for a medication I need that they were supposed to transfer to Walgreens. Well low and behold it's 6 days later and after multiple phone calls and having given them the information of where to send it repeatedly, they sent Winn Dixie, cause you know "Walgreens" and "Winn Dixie" sound exactly alike! They said they could do nothing for me and were annoyed by my many calls!! Walgreens had no idea what to make of that and here I am still with no medication!! Horrible, the incompetence and lack of professionalism! Not that it matters but one less customer for CVS. read more

this location never has my prescriptions. When trying to call to transfer to another location the calls drop and a "user busy" message pops up on my phone. Not sure how this pharmacy is even in business anymore. Cvs has gone downhill the last few years. Thank goodness for Publix! read more

This CVS is one of their older style store. It has been on this busy intersection ever since I can remember. It's clean, well stocked, the aisles are clear, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Last time I was in here, they were helping me try to find an old style specialty item that Mom wanted. Finally, the manager said, I know we used to carry it, but we don't have any right now, try the Ace Hardware store across the highway. What else can you ask for. read more

It's a CVS. It is clean. It does have a terrible odor though. The cashier wasn't friendly, nor was she rude. She was trying to get the customers checked out and moved on. Parking is busy. Right side has golf cart parking and there is limited parking for cars due to being so busy. read more

Due to lowlife shoplifting, many things are secured and require a sales person to unlock it. Doesn't sound like a big deal but try and find somebody. Not worth my time and effort and really not worth my frustration. They lost a customer. read more

I have stopped uslng the SSC CVS store because of the lousy parking conditions, especially the handicap spots requiring very tight turns to access. The store is just in a poor location, otherwise service had always been good. I now travel the extra miles to the Apollo Beach CVS. read more

I've been refilling my prescriptions for a year at this location. There are the same ones. They never have them on stock, therefore when I will run out of my meds they take over a week to have them available. The pharmacist question my physician dose and prescription. I had to transfer all my prescriptions to have peace of mind. The customer service is aweful. read more

Very good pharmacy. Staff always willing to help me find anything I need. Scripts have always been filled accurately and when they promised they'd be ready. Claims of the store being "old and smelly" are complete fiction. read more
