Have used this Pharmacy for over 10 years and thought Bob Patel the owner was a thoughtful person and aware of access expenses. for seniors living on a fixed incomes. Then today when I picked up my medication there was a new charge on my invoice of $5.67 and listed as Transaction Fee ? They have to dispense your RX if you use that pharmacy ,so now they want to charge you to fill your RX on top of your purchase price. I guess it's time to shop around for a replacement provider. I for one am very disappointed and feel sure other purchasers will be unhappy with this additional fee. read more

I have been a loyal and very happy customer of Bob's and staff at Sun Pharmacy since 2012. I have never had a bad experience until about 3 months ago when an employee (white female tattoos) slammed the drive thru window in my face as though she was angry that she had to give me my prescription. Now, today, with an oncoming storm And an evacuation order in place and two elders in my care I am hoping to get this resolved but the same employee Gave me a hard time yesterday. If you want to feel comfortable and deal with knowledgeable staff this is the place. The owner Bob is really pleasant to deal with. Also Harold and the girls provide excellent customer service they always go out of their way to help you out and make everything easy. This pharmacy is so different than dealing with franchise pharmacies. They always make sure your refills and prescriptions are ready in a timely matter so you don't run out even if they need to contact the doctor directly to get a new prescription. I have had my prescriptions filled at this pharmacy for the last four years. Ever since they moved to the new location, they have been busy and seem annoyed if you ask any questions. They want you to get your refills and get out. I recently picked up some refill prescriptions and one was not in the package. I realized when I got home they Had not filled a particular prescription. I called and they said that they filled it and I picked it up because I signed for it. I picked up several prescriptions that day and I did not look and see what prescriptions where filled. I was told that I had to either pay full price or get my second refill in order to get it. The pharmacist was rude and so was the technician. The customer is never right, the pharmacy always is. This is not a pill that is addicting or anything it's just a cholesterol pill. I was treated very poorly for someone who has been a loyal customer for several years. I will be moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy. read more

I had a total knee replacement done 15 days ago, I was in skilled nursing until yesterday when I was released home with some medication to get me through until I could get the new Rx filled. When I called Sun Pharmacy the girl on the phone confirmed with the RPH that they had it in stock, then said to bring the Rx, and whatever other medications I was taking, and they would fill it. When I got there it was a whole different story. I was told that since I was not an established patient that I would need the last 3 months medication history from my pharmacy. I completely understand why they would want this but, and that would have been okay, HAD THE GIRL TOLD ME BEFOREHAND TO BRING IT. Then the RPH says that he used up the rest that morning and would have to order it. Either the person that answered the phone this morning was lying and incompetent..... or the RPH lied to my face. RPH Bob Patel was less than professional, shrugging his shoulders and saying "do you know how many phone calls we get in a day?" FYI, I DON'T CARE how many phone calls you get because the ONE that I made was mishandled. Now you don't have to worry about me calling you ever again, because I will go elsewhere. I have worked in a pharmacy, and I know that failure to dispense pain medication when you have it in stock, and not FINDING another pharmacy that can fill it, is an ETHICAL VIOLATION. As a health care provider myself, I will never recommend using this pharmacy for the lack of respect I received here. read more

I asked questions about the prescription, and they told me they don't have it and that I had to wait a day. I asked if another pharmacy might have it and they became extremely impatient. They didn't want to answer either of my questions, and refused to check with the other pharmacy. The manager in the back shouted at me that I should "sit down and think about it". Contrary to the other reviews for this pharmacy, I have had nothing but positive experiences with these folks. Of course, I'm not asking for special treatment or unique medications that may be in shortage. In those situations, as far as I'm concerned people need to be a little more understanding and patient wherever they choose to fill their scripts. That being said, these guys were top notch. Prices are incredibly competitive, beating out mail order pharmacy, Walmart and just about everybody else. There was one medication they needed to order for us, and they had it in my hand within 2 days. They are efficient, no-frills and no nonsense. I love it! On one prescription alone, they were 48% less in price than Walmart, who up to that point had been the cheapest in town. My eyedrops were going to be $205 at CVS. These guys not only were cheaper substantially, but they had access to a manufacturers coupon which brought the price to $50. Tough to beat! If you're looking for someone to hold your hand, I suggest you go elsewhere. If you want competent pharmacy dispensing with the best prices anywhere, I urge you to try these guys. read more

I had a very embarrassing situation with owner Bob Patel yesterday. I wanted to pick up my prescriptions for 2 opiates and 1 anti anxiety medication. I was not trying to get them early or anything that might indicate that I have a problem with opiates. I fill many other prescriptions at that pharmacy but did not happen to need them yet and I could not afford to pick up prescriptions that I didn't need. He refused to fill the 3 prescriptions that I needed unless I bought the other prescriptions also. When I told him that I couldn't afford to do that he asked me how much money I DID have and I had to tell him in front of people I don't know that I only had $26 until payday which was that very night. I was so embarrassed. I assured him that I would be back the next day to get the rest even though I didn't need them all. He rang up all that he could and spent my $26 without even including one I said I did need. I'm in search of a new pharmacy that will treat me with some respect. read more

This pharmacy and it's staff are #1 as far as I'm concerned! Bob, Waleed, and Stephanie are very professional and know me by name, it feels good to walk in the door and hear them greet me and not only myself but most patients that come in, I hear them greet them by name! Because of some of the medications that I'm prescribed I've been treated like a second class citizen at pharmacies such as Walgreens and Walmart however, at Sun Pharmacy they treat everyone the same. Also, If there's a coupon they will tell you about it and they make sure you're getting the best price in town! The staff is also up to date on medications and are able to answer any questions you may have about them. I rated them with 5 stars but wish I could rate them with 10! RUDE!!!! Do not go here. I was recommended to try this pharmacy when trying to have my prescription medicine for ADHD filled, during another local shortage of this particular medicine. The man at the counter told me that my prescription was too old and that I should get a new prescription written out and go back to my original pharmacy (they're out, thus the reason I was there and NOT at my original pharmacy!). So he obviously wasn't listening to what I said. He didn't even LOOK to see if he had the medication before saying he doesn't have it. It was written less than 2 months ago, on the day of my last appointment with my doctor, and my last fill was for a 3-month supply, so I still had plenty of medicine left at the time it was written out, so I COULDN'T have gotten it filled much sooner anyway; plus, I'm not a junkie drug addict and I don't abuse medication, so I didn't NEED to have it filled before now anyway! Why should it matter that it was written in April and not filled yet? There's not an expiration on my prescription, and if there is and I just haven't noticed it before, it sure isn't in 2 months! So why should that in any way preclude him from trying to help me obtain my medicine? *Dude, I'm trying to give YOU MONEY!* He used such an arrogant, nasty tone when speaking to me, that I felt completely unwelcome. I was made to feel like I had done something wrong. It was completely unprofessional and totally uncalled for! He was abrupt, hateful, and unnecessarily rude. I never leave reviews on anything, but I always read reviews on Yelp, and I was so humiliated by this awful experience that I signed up for a Yelp account specifically to write this review to warn people about this hateful business.
