I'm sure the nature of medications that are frowned upon but unfortunately are necessary for me to just get out of bed. Even on these meds my life is not a real life. Friends and family have moved on as I became non committal to various invitations and even holidays due to horrible days of pain and depression.. As time went on and I'm sure the shortage played into things going south. Meds were coming up short one here two the next month the most I've discovered missing was at-least 3 maybe 4 pills.. Which when your in constant pain is a huge deal. I didn't mention anything as I believed I'd be painted as a drug seeking dirt bag. Which is a real thing in any pharmacy you go to. Things became worse when the lies and games began telling me they could not fill my prescriptions because they were over their limit for the month but this happened at anytime of the month. I finally went elsewhere I can't say things is better maybe even worse. It's amazing how these pharmacists feel so free to talk to you and accuse you with such distain it truly leaves you feeling pretty poorly of yourself and your mind goes over and over the interaction going back and forth as to was it you or them? Truly a shame . I requested every record from my Dr including all urinalysis labs and behavior and all that was observed about my compliance with all meds I was PRESCRIBED! No red flags all perfect counts, urinalysis etc. so that really made me want to complaint to the DEA and all agencies overseeing pharmacists and pharmacies. But I did not thinking their word against mine. I still respect Dave as an intelligent man in his field but he needs a lesson in how to speak to women who are not as forward as he is.

Personal, professional, and never leave wondering if I'm going to get my refills on time, or at all. Great business and we need to support the locals. I came here today for the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine…read more Roughly 30 seconds after receiving it, I felt light headed. A staff member, who said that he was also an EMT, took my vitals. My pulse was racing at 160. My blood pressure skyrocketed to 182/111. The young man also gave me a small bottle of water, which did not help. My vitals did not stabilize. He, nor the pharmacist who administered the vaccine were equipped, to help me. They did little for me. The young man said that he has an EpiPen but that my symptoms did not require use of one. Lastly, he did not even given me a glucose tablet when I asked for one. I thought my blood sugar was also low. I thought that I was going to die and called my next of kin. Thank goodness I had my phone with me. Staff called an ambulance, which came in about 10 minutes. The crew wheeled me out of the store in a stretcher and said that I likely have vasovagal syncope, which is a rare adverse reaction to the vaccination. The MD at LI Community did not formally diagnose me with that. Dr M. merely said that I had a "fast heart rate and racing pulse" in response to the Pfizer vaccine. An RN administered IV fluids and continuously monitored my vitals. Staff also gave me an EKG and withdrew some blood for testing. I spent four hours in the ER before my vitals stabilized. Lesson learned: ONLY GO TO A VACCINATION SITE THAT HAS AN EMS, AMBULANCE AND MEDICAL STAFF ON PREMISES. Google research indicates that Pharmacy staff is not equipped to handle severe reactions to any vaccine. I should have done my due diligence before I selected Walgreens as my vaccination site. Addendum: The pharmacist, Jenny, did call me the next day to check my status. She also informed me that she will be reporting this incident to VAERS, as required by Federal law.

I keep meaning to switch my prescriptions over to this store because my experience is always so much better in every other regard than at the local CVS I've used. My family and I have even used this store for vaccinations. When my granddaughter was born, we needed to get the whooping cough vaccine. I got mine at the doctor but for my daughter and husband it was just easier to go to Rite Aid. It was quick and easy. They have a good selection of convenience store items and cosmetics, though the way they lay out the store is a bit odd. I've never been a fan of stores where half the aisles are laid out diagonally. Luckily, I've been in there enough to know where most things are, and they do keep the store nice and clean. I've never come across a rude cashier, and I love that they are part of the Plenti rewards program. It's nice to accumulate discounts on not only drug store stuff, but things like gas as well! Be sure to sign up, it's free! So all-in-all I really like our local Rite Aid and can't say anything negative about it. Thumbs up all around for a nice store with good customer service.

When i called back the same thing happened. I tried over the course of 5 days. I finally pressed 4 while calling stating i was, "calling from a doctors office." just to get in contact with someone. I finally got ahold of someone. She told me she would order my prescription as they did not have it in stock and i could pick it up tomorrow after 3pm. Cool. THEN i go to the pharmacy the next day and THEIR PHONES ARENT EVEN RINGING. THEY'VE TURNED OFF THE RINGERS ON THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!! And they didnt have my prescription. This place is a joke. The pharmacist and 3/4 of the staff in the pharmacy are rude excluding one employee who was actually trying to take care of customers. FYI im trying to refill my birth control. Rite Aid should pay for my child if i get pregnant because their employees failed to do their job.

Random fact: this used to be a Waldbaums…read more Overall this is a very nice King Kullen, one with a pharmacy too! (Or Chemist, if you're from Europe or are an Aussie.) Nice to still see this in 2026. This location is kept clean, most of the staff are nice, and I'm happy to report that I've been noticing a lot more Organic/Non-GMO stuff available to buy, ditto for Gluten free mixed in with the oldie-but-goodie items, which tend to cater to their majority Gen X and Baby Boomer aged customers. There's a bus stop for SCT routes 6, 51, and 53 at the Waverly Ave entrance, which is convenient. Plus it says open until 22:00 (10 pm). Only complaints are: Items/foodschtuffs are costly (aka typical King Kullen prices), Restrooms tend to be dirty (had to duck into the ladies room once, was a bit cleaner than the mens), The location is in an odd area. Waverly Ave south of Sunrise is a rough-ish part of town, but north of Sunrise tends to be nicer. Keep this in mind if you walk, bike, or take the bus. With all this being said, I'm happy for the Cullen Family and to see King Kullen continue to be a landmark business unique to Long Island, still making LIers proud!
