If I could take away this one star I would. My elderly disabled sister went in to have a full body check and some cysts and blackhead removed. The FBC took about 90 seconds. He was disgusted that she wasn't wearing a bra and asked her how come she wasn't. They cysts he said would only come back because he would have to remove the sac. Ummmm isn't that part of his job? He had an office assistant try to remove a large blackhead which was not successful. And biospsied 2 spots one of which he Said was nothing at first than changed his mind on. Most likely to get more insurance reimbursement. I had been coming here for several years and was appalled at his dissmissive, disrespectful, and just plan nasty behavior. Never again read more

My wife has been dealing with hydrotic eczema for 17 years other Dr,s tried sun lamps for her feet cortisone all kinds of remedies and nothing worked. After going to Dr Abadi for a few years and recently he gave my wife a new cream to try and like a miracle she has healed and has been staring at the feet and hands now for 3 weeks and they are perfect. I have to admit that I am surprised to see so many negative comments about Dr. Abadi -- Went to his office 11/9/21 and was made to feel comfortable and was seen at the appointed time. Dr. Abadi sat and spoke with me for a short time and then got on to business by performing a minor Surgical procedure to cure my ill. The entire time he was careful to make sure that I was not in any discomfort and kept checking with me to make sure I was not in any pain during procedure. I walk away from this visit with the opinion that Dr. Abadi is a caring and talented Physician -- A Good Guy and I will return to his office in the future if and when issues present themselves. read more

Literally the worst doctor we have ever met. He's a bully man child. Has a temper, talks down to the elderly without any consideration for anyone but himself. He was asked to be a little bit more gentle with my grandmother and we were told if we don't like it to find another dr. I would never trust him to do anything cosmetically (Botox,injections etc) he said he had to open another office because patchogue people can't afford cosmetic procedures... like how rude?! I saw Dr. Abadi awhile ago due to psoriasis I had on my scalp. He has zero bedside manner. He was arrogant and not very helpful. When I questioned him about home remedies or lifestyle changes I could make he said those didn't exist. Then basically walked out. Luckily, I did a lot of research on my skin condition and have made positive lifestyle changes that led to my skin condition getting better. After I went to see him, I told my family and co-workers about my odd experience with this Dr. They then told me that they had bad experiences with him as well. They said he was crass, arrogant, and one person said he asked her to party with him in the Hamptons. My little sister said when she suffered from acne, he embarrassed her so much she did not want to return. I'm sure there's some other doctor that would be better than him. I had a very good experience with Dr Jules Abadi. I went to see him 9 days ago when my face was completely swollen and red. I had been to the hospital 3 days before and was diagnosed with cellulitis and a fungal infection, but that turned out to be wrong. Dr. Abadi correctly diagnosed me with erysipelas which is a type of cellulitis. He added another antibiotic to the one I was already on and added 2 ointments. My face mostly cleared up within 3 days, and his office called to schedule a followup with me. I went to the followup today and he was very thorough and prescribed me 2 more creams to help with the itching. I definitely recommend this doctor. read more

I had an appointment with Dr Abadi to have a procedure done. When I got to the office I filled out paperwork and waited about 15 minutes to be called in. The receptionist had my info. The nurse came to get me and when in the room she informed me that they don't take my insurance. Insurance didn't cover the procedure I was having done. I asked why didn't the receptionist tell me this while I was waiting. Then Dr. Jennifer Kim came in and I asked her about the insurance. Dr Kim told me that Obamacare did away with insurance covering what I needed done. She made the assumption I had Obamacare. I said I have Cigna. So I had to pay $200 plus a $50 copay for my procedure. I left there feeling very angry. I had just been taken advantage of by this office and the doctor assumed I had Obamacare. It was criminal what was done to me. Don't go to this place. They will rip you off. And make assumptions based on what you look like. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Abadi for 17+ years. He has always helped me with my many skin issues. I have psoriasis on my scalp and on my elbows, and he would always give me some magic potion that got rid of it. I had worts on my hands, it was really disgusting. And he helped me through that horrible experience. Dr. Abadi was very reassuring that they would go away. Then, they finally did. I'm very fair skinned so I have to see the doctor on a regular basis. I've had a few skin cancers burned off, and thankfully they were not life-threatening. Let me tell you about Dr. Abadi, he is funny, yet professional, he makes you feel comfortable and explains the procedures well. I look forward to seeing him, he always has something hilarious to talk about. His nurse is very kind and thorough. It's easy to get an appointment. All the women that work the front desk are very kind and professional. What else can I say, he's a good doctor and if you want a GREAT dermatologist, he's your guy. I've been to east patchogue dermatology many times over the years and see np terrie Brennan. Never saw dr abadi, but terrie is incredible. Friendly, explains everything well, and always knows how to find a solution. She's treated me for acne, skin issues, hair, and she always finds a fix. Horribly unethical. I made an appointment for botox. Well Dr. Abadi does not usually do this but the nurse acts in his place instead. Charged me a $40 co pay for the nurse which is ridiculous because botox is not covered by your insurance. I've gone to other dermatologists and Dr. Abadi's prices are way too high and ridiculous. Their price quotes were so high that I could take a cab from East patchoque NY to Manhattan to my original dermatologist and get what I needed and my costs would be less than dear Dr. Jules S. Abadi including the cab fare. Beware junk and rip off office. From what I'm reading about Dr. Abadi I'm glad I did not encounter him only hid hench people office. read more

Worst experience at a doctor's office I have ever had. It was my first time. I spent over an hour in the waiting room (nbd, I know doctor's offices get busy), only to be ushered into an exam room where the nurse didn't introduce herself or look at me while asking questions. When "doctor" Kim came in (she introduced herself as a doctor even though she's a PA), she literally spent about 30 seconds with me. Put on gloves, notes a past sunburn, ran her hand across my back, turned to the computer and started sending in a prescription. She did not tell me what the medicines were or what they were treating. I had to ask her what was wrong with me. I said "Is it an allergic reaction, or..." She just said "Yes." Then she and the nurse walked out of the room, closing the door behind them. After being left alone for a few minutes, I opened the door and caught the nurse, asking her if I was all done. She said "Yeah, you're done." and continues walking down the hall. I walked out of the office, furious at how I had been treated. Before I could even get in my car, my pharmacy called to tell me that one of my prescriptions wasn't covered by either of my insurances. It would have cost nearly $200 out of pocket. I called the doctor's office and explained to the person who answered the phone that I had just been in to see "doctor" Kim, and that the prescription she wrote wasn't covered, so I needed her to prescribe something else. The receptionist (?) said that the "doctor" would either get to it today (Friday) or Monday. After getting off the phone, I called my husband in tears. After being treated so poorly, I now had to wait the weekend to get medicine for a very painful affliction on my back. I drove home (about 5 minutes), and my husband said we were going to go back to the office and complain. It took us about 10 minutes to get ourselves together, and another 5 to get back to the office. So less than 30 minutes from the time I initially left the office. When I had left, the waiting room was full of people. 30 minutes later, the office was closed and the door was locked. This was about 12:30pm, and the office was supposed to be open until 3pm. The receptionist I spoke to did not tell me the office was closing early, and that I obviously DEFINITELY wouldn't be getting my prescription that day. I wonder how they managed to burn through a room full of other patients in less than half an hour? Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a doctor's office. My co-pay was $60, and all I got was a 30 second cursory meeting with a non-doctor, and a prescription I couldn't fill. Not only will I never go back here, I will never recommend this office to anyone. In fact, I will warn anyone to stay as far away from this practice as possible. Absolutely shameful. A complete manifestation of everything that is wrong with health care in America. read more

Been there 3x since end of October 2018. All my appts were mondays 10:30 or 11am . First time waited maybe 20mins which included me filling out 4 forms. Was seen for Basil and Sub Basil like face splotches on cheeks, hands and a sun damaged earlobe. All were frozen and cleared up. Thought ear might need the piece removed as I had it so long. 2nd and 3rd time were follow ups and waited less then 15 mins to see Dr. I'd say 7 to 10 mins of servicing from the Doctor. I had specific things that needed attending and basically new what i had before hand. Dr Abadi bed side manner seems quick and to the point. Not like I needed hand holding or I needed a lengthy work up or diagnose like with an internist. Office is clean and any questions I had were answered to satisfaction. I went to Dr Abadi to have him check out some growths. He did a very brief exam of them and declared them fine. He kept saying to me "what else, is that all you've got?" When I declared that I was interested in having my age spots removed, told me it was his lunch time and left the room. The assistant handed me a list of products that they sell and circled the one that was for age spots. ZERO personality. ZERO skills in relating to his patient. More interested in his lunch than helping me. Of course if he had seen cancer or something that would bring him a big fat surgical fee, that might have been a different story. Go to someone else. In short, he authorized a refund of my co-pay and ushered me out. Completely and utterly unacceptable experience. I waited six days for my 12 year old to be seen! He denied her service. This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. It was like I was a bother. He didnt even let me finish telling him why I was there. He than prescribed me medication I was allergic too and when I called the office he wouldnt even talk to me and told me I was not allergic to the medication. Meanwhile I am a nurse and know what an allergy to a medication is. He didn;t even give me the time of the day. But yet he had time to sell me his products. DO NOT GO TO HIM! read more

I had seen both of Dr. Abadi's PA's. I did not have a diagnosis or a cure for a very bad recurring facial skin condition so I figured, maybe the Dr. would know. The nurse Jennifer, asked me when I went into the exam room, "what are you here for today" I explained. When Dr. Abadi came in, he was verbally upset that I didn't see his PA again and told me, "this is scr/messed up, I can't help you because I don't know what the problem is" Then he asked why I was there. (obviously he didn't read what the nurse had written) I looked at her to help me out with his question and she told him. He then said, "I am confused, why are you seeing me if you saw 'the PA" I explained I had been in there before, but we didn't come up with a cause or cure, and he again said, "this is screw/messed up" (that is how he said it) He looked at my chart and said, "you have had this for 2 years, what do you want me to do about it." I looked at the nurse like, is this a joke, and she couldn't even look at me. I pointed to my cheek and said, "I have this rash, and he then again, went back to my chart and said, you already saw my PA." I also explained, at one point I had a biopsy (not related to this condition) and said, "when you did the biopsy"..he interrupted me and said, "I never met you before, don't say I did a biopsy" I said, "ok, the PA you have representing your practice did a biopsy" and he again interrupted me and said, " this is scr/messed up" I asked if he wanted me to leave and he said, "I don't care what you do, in fact, go get your $50.00 back and leave" I asked the nurse, "did I say something wrong?" she said "no" I said, "did I do something wrong?" she said "no" She was as confused as I was. Sadly, this man doesn't care about her as he has no idea how he implemented her today. Chances are, when the review comes up, I am sure he will have another story, and all I can say is, I hope she has a conscience. Needless to say, I have filed a formal complaint with Oxford Health, NYS Medical Board, the BBB and Consumer Affairs. You know, it is hard enough going into a Dr.'s office to explain personal issues you have, but to be belittled like that was something I have never in my life experienced..He should be ashamed of himself and I feel horrible for all of the senior citizens that he had in his office. Oh yes, just an FYI, when I paid my Co-pay via credit card, the time was stamped on the receipt 12:14:37..When my credit was issued, 45 minutes later, the time on the receipt was 12:12:00 Go figure, only he would have a clock that goes back 3 minutes in 45 minutes. read more

I took my 15 yr old son to Dr Abadi today. I have NEVER in my life met a Dr that was SO RUDE & arrogant. My son was referred to this office . He had a reoccurring fungus/ rash on his neck & eyes. The neck looked much better w the meds stat health provided. So he asked me why we were there I said well we have 2 issues. The fungus & I was addressing a huge patch of gray hair growing . He said " well one thing at a time. Which do you want to address first?" I said , neck & eyes. He said, " we'll pick one. Which is more important to you? I said , do I have to come back for other issue he said NO. So onto eyes & neck again. He said " pick one! You can't have more than one thing aftessed today! I said " excuse me? I can't believe how rude you are I have never met a doctor like you in my life" he says, " well I think you are rude too. do you want to leave? I said yes. He said give her her $ back. Then said to my son Who is on table, " are you going to stay there or are you gonna leave?!! I walked out in tears. Disgusting man. I called my Dr and they will never refer him. I felt bad for the young nurse. I also heard him speaking very condescending to her in hall before he came in to us. I actually have been so upset all day. But I just keep telling myself he is nothing but an asshole. I later called & spoke to the receptionist to let her know what happened & that I reported him to stat health in sayville who is removing him from their list of drs to refer. And I'm not done. Worst experience ever. After my former dermatologist left his practice I decide to go here since it as close to home. Warning...the staff is careless. My first appointment for a Saturday I was given the wrong date no one was there. After 3 more visits to determine wether or not I could continue on the biologic I've been taking for 8 years the nurse practitioner sends me to my gen. practitioner Dr. For approval.??? Why? I went my Reg Dr . In shock because he is not a dermatologist to approve such a request. I go back and am told now I need to go to a rheumatologist . The staff claimed they made me an appointment. When I call to confirm there was no appointment. Finally gave up and went to another dermatologist who after looking at the same blood work told me it would be normal that my numbers would be high since I've been off the medication fore almost 3 months. I was prescribed the medication immediately. The main Dr does not handle Biologics...the nurse practitioner does...but she is also obviously incompetent oh I forgot to mention that when she sent me to my regular Dr. She put the wrong biologic medication on the information sheet. read more
