This review is only about the pharmacy area of this location…read more I recently had a prescription I needed to pick up and also had a change in insurance. Upon walking up to the pharmacy counter there was one person being helped and one in front of me. Once it was my turn I had explained to the girl that my insurance had changed. She asked me to step over to the consultation side to wait for the pharmacist. As I waited about 20 minutes (the pharmacist was on the phone and filling prescriptions) for the pharmacist, there were 4 people who had walked up for vaccinations. The pharmacist proceeded to put all their vaccinations together and vaccinate them all before approaching me. Maybe these other people had appointments, but I'm not sure. As she finally makes her way over to me, she asks me how she can help me. Although the girl at the register had told her what I needed and gave her my insurance card. Once everything was entered it took me about 3 minutes to check out. However there were 12 people who came in after me who were helped and left as well as 8 people who were helped at the drive through. I'm sure there are rules about who can enter information, but it just seemed like I could have been helped and been out of there before half of the new people were helped instead of being made to wait. Since the last pharmacist left, it had been increasingly difficult to do anything with this particular pharmacy department. It seems as though across the board everything takes more time than it should. Unfortunately this has been seen at other CVS pharmacy's as well.

We met the pharmacist at this CVS in patchogue during Covid when we got vaccinated. We started getting all our vaccines here. We noticed right away that he was always pleasant and seemed to go the extra mile for his customers. He reminds me of the old fashioned pharmacists that always watch out for their customers, knows everyone by name and is always happy to help and give good advice. He made us feel watched out for. We were happy to switch all our prescriptions to this location and it's been a pleasure since. Unfortunately, in the new year our insurance started forcing us to go somewhere else (not covering CVS at all anymore), and I was so upset by it. I'm hoping that will change and we can come back here!

I very OFTEN get scripts filled and refilled for myself and my large family. I've had scripts transferred from other pharmacies and old scripts refilled whenever I need them. This location is actually my favorite CVS from an array of towns or states I've been. The Pharmacists really do the work, their polite, and if you go after work or at the last hour before close yes there's a wait ( not exceptionally longer than anywhere else at 5pm). I go in the afternoon. Never a wait. And I only use the drive thru. I've been using the CVS Pharmacy for 3 years now.

I keep meaning to switch my prescriptions over to this store because my experience is always so much better in every other regard than at the local CVS I've used. My family and I have even used this store for vaccinations. When my granddaughter was born, we needed to get the whooping cough vaccine. I got mine at the doctor but for my daughter and husband it was just easier to go to Rite Aid. It was quick and easy. They have a good selection of convenience store items and cosmetics, though the way they lay out the store is a bit odd. I've never been a fan of stores where half the aisles are laid out diagonally. Luckily, I've been in there enough to know where most things are, and they do keep the store nice and clean. I've never come across a rude cashier, and I love that they are part of the Plenti rewards program. It's nice to accumulate discounts on not only drug store stuff, but things like gas as well! Be sure to sign up, it's free! So all-in-all I really like our local Rite Aid and can't say anything negative about it. Thumbs up all around for a nice store with good customer service.

The pharmacist and 3/4 of the staff in the pharmacy are rude excluding one employee who was actually trying to take care of customers. FYI im trying to refill my birth control. I'm sure the nature of medications that are frowned upon but unfortunately are necessary for me to just get out of bed. Even on these meds my life is not a real life. Friends and family have moved on as I became non committal to various invitations and even holidays due to horrible days of pain and depression.. As time went on and I'm sure the shortage played into things going south. Meds were coming up short one here two the next month the most I've discovered missing was at-least 3 maybe 4 pills.. Which when your in constant pain is a huge deal. I didn't mention anything as I believed I'd be painted as a drug seeking dirt bag. Which is a real thing in any pharmacy you go to. Things became worse when the lies and games began telling me they could not fill my prescriptions because they were over their limit for the month but this happened at anytime of the month. I finally went elsewhere I can't say things is better maybe even worse. It's amazing how these pharmacists feel so free to talk to you and accuse you with such distain it truly leaves you feeling pretty poorly of yourself and your mind goes over and over the interaction going back and forth as to was it you or them? Nice to still see this in 2026. This location is kept clean, most of the staff are nice, and I'm happy to report that I've been noticing a lot more Organic/Non-GMO stuff available to buy, ditto for Gluten free mixed in with the oldie-but-goodie items, which tend to cater to their majority Gen X and Baby Boomer aged customers. There's a bus stop for SCT routes 6, 51, and 53 at the Waverly Ave entrance, which is convenient. Plus it says open until 22:00 (10 pm). Only complaints are: Items/foodschtuffs are costly (aka typical King Kullen prices), Restrooms tend to be dirty (had to duck into the ladies room once, was a bit cleaner than the mens), The location is in an odd area. Waverly Ave south of Sunrise is a rough-ish part of town, but north of Sunrise tends to be nicer. Keep this in mind if you walk, bike, or take the bus. With all this being said, I'm happy for the Cullen Family and to see King Kullen continue to be a landmark business unique to Long Island, still making LIers proud!
