Waiting at the drive thru the 2 girls are talking by the window they see me and ignore me, I ring the bell they still continue to talk to each other. They when she finally said can I help you, she tells me how much I put my money on the pull out tray and she leaves it there and continues talking and it is very windy. When I'm done she leaves tray open while I'm trying to pull out and the next car has to pull in. VERY BAD SERVICE! I will drive to Selden instead of coming here . read more

I came here today for the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Roughly 30 seconds after receiving it, I felt light headed. A staff member, who said that he was also an EMT, took my vitals. My pulse was racing at 160. My blood pressure skyrocketed to 182/111. The young man also gave me a small bottle of water, which did not help. My vitals did not stabilize. He, nor the pharmacist who administered the vaccine were equipped, to help me. They did little for me. The young man said that he has an EpiPen but that my symptoms did not require use of one. Lastly, he did not even given me a glucose tablet when I asked for one. I thought my blood sugar was also low. I thought that I was going to die and called my next of kin. Thank goodness I had my phone with me. Staff called an ambulance, which came in about 10 minutes. The crew wheeled me out of the store in a stretcher and said that I likely have vasovagal syncope, which is a rare adverse reaction to the vaccination. The MD at LI Community did not formally diagnose me with that. Dr M. merely said that I had a "fast heart rate and racing pulse" in response to the Pfizer vaccine. An RN administered IV fluids and continuously monitored my vitals. Staff also gave me an EKG and withdrew some blood for testing. I spent four hours in the ER before my vitals stabilized. Lesson learned: ONLY GO TO A VACCINATION SITE THAT HAS AN EMS, AMBULANCE AND MEDICAL STAFF ON PREMISES. Google research indicates that Pharmacy staff is not equipped to handle severe reactions to any vaccine. I should have done my due diligence before I selected Walgreens as my vaccination site. Addendum: The pharmacist, Jenny, did call me the next day to check my status. She also informed me that she will be reporting this incident to VAERS, as required by Federal law. read more

I have a medical issue where I need to use the restroom every 4 hours. I went into this Walgreens, picked up an iced tea to purchase and asked if they had a restroom. The ADULT at the front told me it was out of order. When I went outside and repeated this to my wife, she felt someone was lying, so we went back in with our niece. When we went back and told another worker our niece had to use the bathroom, we were quickly brought back to the restroom. When we got to the restroom, I repeated to the employee what the ADULT told me about the restroom being out of order. When I went back up to the counter to purchase something, I asked the MAN at the counter why he lied about the bathroom being out of order. He asked why we're harassing a KID when he was clearly a grown person. When I told him about my medical condition, he blamed his manager for telling him the bathroom was out of order. As we went back and forth, he kept falling back on asking why we were being mean to a kid. It was very strange. Nonetheless, if I didn't get to a bathroom I would be looking at certain death. Worst pharmacy ever!!!! They made me wait over 30 mins in the drive thru while they figured out how to link my daughter (mind you she's been to atleast 5 walgreens, my husband had it sent to this one by mistake) now they finally get it linked and tell me I have to drive around and wait in line again while they shake a bottle. I nicely explained im on my lunch break and need to get back to work that I waited so long already I can't get back on line and start over and they were rude and said either come in and wait on line or drive back around and wait. Maybe if they had their stuff together and knew what they were doing they wouldn't have so many bad reviews definitely not coming back here read more

The pharmacy staff is very nice. Wish the rest of the staff was. The front check out is almost always irritable. I like the helpful reminders that Walgreens sends for scripts. read more

I'm so glad that this Walgreens was built! It's one of the nicer ones on Long Island and the closest one to my house. I have to mention how helpful the pharmacy staff are. They are always just so patient and kind when I have to deal with them. If I ever have a problem with medication/insurance/etc it's so easy to take care of it with them. I just can't stress how easy and pleasant the pharmacy technicians are. read more

I mainly use this Walgreens as my pharmacy, and to pick something uo before taking the bus to work. The staff who work there are friendly, the place is kept clean, the prices are just like every other Walgreens in Suffolk County. I'm giving it a 3 star rating for two reasons: it's located at the beginning of Waverly Avenue, which happens to be in the rough part of Patchogue. And also because a lot of times there are some shady characters that shop in there during the last few opening hours, or the trouble they cause in the parking lot after Walgreens closes. For example, the second to last time I was there I needed to pick up my medicine. A female friend of mine stayed behind in the car while I was inside. She called me asking me to hurry up because there were cops outside. When I left and got into her car she told me that they were undergoing a drug bust in the car next to us! Her and I have a saying when things like that happen, "Only in Patchogue!" Otherwise I have no complaints. read more

Absolute awful service with the front end. I sent in a photo order electronically and it was sitting in the photo computer for 15 minutes the front end cashier was just on her phone. I told her I had an order and she paged someone to help. Got the order and the girl up front rang me up while talking to her friends she couldn't count my change and I had to remind her she owed me $5. She paged up another employee, not to help with the line, but so she can walk around with her friends. Awful service read more

I cannot believe how far the pharmacy went to help me with getting a prescription that was impossible to get. Their efforts were tremendous and sincere. It felt comforting to know they were really going over and beyond to help . Marissa is great! Everyone is! read more
