Having had unhappy experiences with my latest forays to local nail salons, I read reviews carefully. I had to drive to Amityville for an Elite bash, and --oh, the horror!--my nails were disastro. Chipped, grown out, and, sadly, stained with leather dye from dyeing boots. Ack!! Absolutely could not show up with these disgraceful fingertips. I called Dif and requested an appointment, telling them I was about 20-25 minutes away. When I arrived, K was ready for me. He wanted to take everything off, but I asked him to please just do a fill and file, and he did!! He gave me beautiful, short, rounded nails with many coats of baked gel pale pink polish. I was delighted. While this took much longer than usual, I still had plenty of time to get to Amityville, so I got a basic pedicure, too. The pedicure was also great. No complaints at all. While it was more expensive than most for the gel polish, that's probably because my nails were in such horrible shape from the chipping, dye, etc. I was also happy to see water and nail drying spray, which I used on my toes. It's a clean, busy place. All the nail stations were busy when I arrived. Definitely make an appointment. They also offer other services, although I didn't read the list. I am thrilled to have found a nail place, and really don't mind driving to Patchogue, because I can get other stuff done there too, like get gas at Costco. read more

I always go to Lin, who is efficient, speedy (but NOT careless or rushed) and takes care of the small details of my nails. I am a gardener and very hard on my hands and nails. By the time I go in, I am a mess. When I come out, my hands and nails look like I never worked a day in my life in the garden. I love the dip process- it lasts a long time, no chipping or fade. The regular pedicure is well done, just enough to keep my peeps looking good! I get a regular polish for my pedicure. Shop is clean and calm. Highly recommended! read more

My search for the best nail salon in all areas continues. And while visiting with my parents and while they could watch the baby, I decided to check this place out. I was so very impressed all around and will definitely come back again when in the area. I called a few minutes before arriving to see if they could accommodate me coming in. I've been making it a point to do this because a lot of salons are now by appointment only. They were very friendly on the phone and told me to come right in. When I walked in they asked me to sanitize my hands, and I quickly obliged. I requested to get a dip powder manicure and a regular pedicure. I was asked to pick a color for my pedicure and was taken right away. The place was very clean, no partitions up, but I didn't mind since the staff and customers were all in masks and there were measures to protect against COVID. I constantly saw the staff cleaning and disinfecting after customers. The pedicure chairs were comfy and the tubs were lined. The tech who did my pedicure was amazing. She took her time and what was only a regular pedicure could have been a spa pedicure in my book. As I was getting my pedicure done, another tech worked on soaking off my previous manicure. She kept checking on my nails throughout the whole process which I appreciated. I felt very pampered. The also put a towel over my lap to protect from nail polish remover getting on my clothes. I was also given the opportunity to choose my color while getting my pedicure. They have a WONDERFUL selection. Lots of different colors to choose from. This also makes the decision that much harder. My manicure was just as amazing as my pedicure. Each tech took their time with me and never made me feel rushed. They also helped me with my coat on my way out. I'm not one for "once they put a color on my nails I ask them to take it off" At the end of the days it's just nails, I won't ask them to change the nail color half way through the manicure but I have seen maybe people do it. They don't get upset or an attitude or act like it's an inconvenience to them. They truly love their clients. If you want them to fix the shape they will. I was going here for quite a long time but will never return because of the aweful customer service I received from Ella. As you know this is an appointment only location and I was going to be late so I called and let her know and she would not accommodate the lateness or reduce the service. I booked a gel mani and pedi. I asked if I could come in just for the manicure and she rudely refused. Not only was I a customer for over 4+ years I have spent so much money here and recommended this salon to my friends and family. If the hour is dedicated to my service the appointment should be flexible since they do not take walkins. I was visiting my hometown for a family wedding and decided to book an appointment here. I went in for SNS Dip nails in order to get my short, brittle (was a long time gel wearer) nails covered up and looking better for the wedding. I ended up being under Jason's care and he was so calm-mannered that I forgot how embarrassed and stressed I was about how my natural nails could become an issue to work on. Jason was so gentle and meticulous to where I felt as if I was truly being "taken cared of" which is what being "pampered" is all about - not being "worked on" like many of us are used to with the rush that normally goes on in nail salons. My nails and even cuticles turned out amazing and so well groomed. I was pleasantly surprised and what more, my mother who accompanied me for the appointment, was so impressed that she had asked to see if Jason had anyone scheduled after me. He ended up being available so both he and the manager was happy to have my mother be taken cared of next. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience and we both cannot wait to tell my sister who lives in town about him and the experience we had! Walked in for a pedicure and I was seated quickly despite the fact that the place was busy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. One thing that caught my eye was the never ending selection of SNS / dip powders. The salon also had two cute dogs wandering around. They were so good and friendly I forgot that they were even there. I have been going to Dif for years now and they always been loyal to me. However recently, I was refused a design that the nail techs themselves have done for me in the past, I wanted some stripes. I even showed them the picture of the design from a year ago that they did for me and they only said to me "we don't do that", "thats too much", no explanation to why, kind of rude about it. I was nice and understanding about it, i'm never difficult when it comes to my nails but I was not satisfied with that experience because i've been there for years now and I was refused a design that wasn't difficult to do that I'm paying my money for. I was greeted when I walked in by the owner and the other people who worked there. They were friendly and honest she wasn't trying to push products on me. The owner Ella did my nails and she did a beautiful job! I honestly love them. She listened when I said I like them short and square. She spoke to me asked me my name. Had a great experience here. Walked in on a Thursday afternoon and was taken care of immediately. Was assisted with picking a color for a powder gel and my nail tech truly impressed me with her attention to detail and patience. She took her time in making sure all of my nails were filed to my desire and even lengths. I also loved how she made sure not to apply the gel too thick as that is a pet peeve of mine. They have an insane amount of dip powder for the SNS nails. I think the owner Ella (who is very down to earth and extremely nice) said they have over 100. I had a guy named Jason do my SNS manicure and I had the lavender spa pedicure. He was very detail oriented. He spent the time to make sure it all came out perfect.
