I feel bad knowing that this location is short staffed but at some point you need to warn others. I have been here three days in a row looking for a prescription that I am continually told will be ready the next day at the same time. I understand there are a ton of prescriptions being called in but I would NEVER recommend this location. Save yourself the trips and frustrations and call prescriptions to the Safeway on Broadway. read more

Whatever you do, listen to these reviews and DO. NOT. bring any prescription here. The utter lack of organization and general respect for humans is nonexistent and it's honestly insulting. Save your time and save your patience, this is quite possibly the most useless pharmacy in the entire state of Colorado. read more

Yup, this is one is awful too - long lines, no value add, they don't answer the phone and never have your prescription when you expect it. Lord knows if they even get them right! Clearly there is very little process and even less thought put into staffing. This location has no business trying to serve in-store customers and drive- thru. Ever notice how Walgreens likes to tout health & wellness meanwhile most of their products are deadly over time... what a horrible business model. This is what happens when there is no competition and the parent company is basically a monopoly. read more

They are so slow, and so rude. There is no sense of urgency to get people their medicine. Find a cvs

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. The service is terribly slow and they are perpetually understaffed. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone to help answer questions. 1/10. read more

Another week of disappointment from this location. I will be moving pharmacies after 4 weeks of horrible disappointment. I wonder if CVS is any better. Always used Walgreens for my pharmacy needs, but no longer. read more

this is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to in my whole life. I have to call multiple times for them to even have my meds. I take a medicine that I have to take everyday or I will get severely sick and I run out every month for a couple days beacuse this pharmacy can't get there act together. The staff is super rude and they don't care about customer service at all. Every time I come here around my busy schedule they are ether closed for a break or some other reason, which in turn makes me have to come here multiple times a week just to get one script! I rather chew on rusty nails then come back here again. Everyone please check out (Capsule) delivery service, we can avoid all of these problems all together read more

I am disappointed in the customer service the manager of this store (April 2019) has demonstrated. Three times she has been unfriendly unconcerned and less than helpful. Certainly not apologetic. I even talked to HQ and they instructed her to follow up. It was a less than adequate follow up. I hope the manager changes as this location is convenient for me. Until then I won't be shopping here. read more

The pharmacy is SO slow. Always, for years, but they are a block away from me so I keep punishing myself by going here. But today I was especially frustrated, bringing my 8 year old daughter for her appointment for her Covid vaccine. She was already super nervous and when I went up to the vaccine checkin line, the woman told me there is only one line, meaning the vaccine line no longer exists so we had to wait in line behind everyone else waiting for a prescription. I said really, we have an appointment right now. She shrugged and said, one line. Ugh. We waited a half an hour!!! And we had an appointment! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Worst pharmacy of all time. Always backed up always disorganized. Always a massive line. I've sat in the waiting area for 30 mins before the guy behind the counter looked at me and said he forgot all about me. My order had been ready all along. Just the worst. read more

If you'd like to meet the most incompetent employees you've ever met then this is the place for you. Took me 2 hours standing in line at the pharmacy and when I finally got to the front of the line, it took the woman working the computer 25 minutes to turn around and grab my prescription on the shelf. Asked me probably 20 times what my name was. I will be changing pharmacies this is the last time i miss class trying to fill a prescription. read more

I would never step foot in this property again based on principle and the dishonesty of the so-called manager. I wait to do my shopping on Tuesdays because Walgreens offer a military discount. I had quite a large purchase including several vitamin and mineral products, and various hair products as well. Easily totaling $150. I asked the woman at the register about the military discount and showed my ID and she said Walgreens doesn't do military discount and then asked another gentleman that came over and he looked at me in the same way as if I had 10 Heads. I verified they were a corporate company and they said yes and I explained I had received discount at various other Walgreens locations on Tuesday. I explained to her that I wanted to speak to a manager because I wasn't going to be making the purchase there if they weren't going to give a military discount. She then spoke to someone on the phone, of which I could hear a woman's voice and explain to me that Walgreens doesn't do a military discount. She explained that the manager was busy and couldn't speak to me. Seriously?!?! So I left my items at the register and left the store. Feeling quite annoyed I called the customer care line for Walgreens to inquire and was told that many of the Walgreens offer military discount, especially those in the area of military post. The woman also explained that the manager could have easily still giving me the discount and I explained that the manager didn't even come out to talk to me. Today I received an email from the manager Laura Squirek and she explained that she did not know it all about my inquiry about a military discount yesterday. That's interesting because that's the very same name I was given by the cashier who said the manager did not have time to speak to me. So either the cashier was lying or she was lying, none the less I would never give my business to the store since they lack integrity and honesty. read more

Don't ever try to call anyone at the pharmacy, I have currently been on hold for over 20 minutes trying to check on a prescription. I can hear them pick up the phone and put it back on hold. read more

I have wasted years of my life in line to pick up scripts here. Slooooowwwwwwessst service ever. Makes going to the DMV seem fast.

Who has an hour of time to wait in line for one prescription. Been using this Walgreens since 2005, absolutely ridiculous. ibhave to go here 3-4 times to attempt to pickup. You closed drive through and I have to go in every time to see how long the line is. You shortened hours, making it even harder to get. you need to be open 24 if your service is this slow!!!! read more

I completely understand the frustration of being short staffed, but when it comes to medication/prescriptions this should be taken more seriously. I've now gone to this pharmacy 4 times this week and was told last night my prescription was backordered. Prior to this information I was told my prescription would be ready, but every day I showed up it was not ready. There needs to be better communication with the customers so I can find a solution instead of getting false information all week. I would definitely consider going to another location. read more

Probably the rudest staff of any pharmacy I've ever done business with. Try to call and ask a simple question and be sure to plan on being on hold for at least 15 minutes. In contrast, Safeway across the street, answer in 3 rings. I wonder if it is against their company policy to smile at their patients. Or at least be a little nice. Anyway, it's a completely opposite experience a scant 200 feet away at the Safeway across the street. For the love of everything that's good in this world, do not go to this store for anything!!!! Safeway is right across the street and you will have a better customer experience. read more

Just when I thought this Walgreen's location and its staff couldn't suck any more, today happened. I was on hold for two hours this morning trying to find out the status of a prescription called in on 1/7. While you are on hold with Walgreens, the outgoing message tells you that staff is helping others, someone will get back to you SHORTLY, and how many callers are in front of you in the cue. On hold you receive this information over and over again - "more than 3 callers in front of you, two callers in front of you, one caller in front of you" - until the Walgreens phone system then just hangs up on you. Finally, I drove up to the store. There was one person working the pharmacy. I asked her to verify that the prescription I was looking for had been called in. She wouldn't and said they were "hundreds" of prescriptions behind. She also suggested that I take my prescriptions elsewhere if I wanted service in less than a week. Wow! Finally, she indicated she would not be answering the phone today. So all day long, the staff at this Walgreens let people think they were on hold in a cue (I just checked again one hour before closing). I have since heard that there was a staff walkout at this Walgreens location. Good! This location needs a fresh start with new staff. If management stuck around, they should be released. Twice today I informed the store manager that he should change the outgoing message so people didn't think they were on hold in a cue. Nope! I had to get another prescription from the doctor because my prescription couldn't be transferred. I then drove to the Centennial store and waited (vs. just dropping off, just in case there was another staff mutiny). While there were other, closer Walgreens, I was trying to get far enough away from the Evans/Downing location so as not to be affected by everyone else seeking to move their prescriptions to another Walgreens from the Evans/Downing location. Centennial did a nice job. read more

My sister had just had a baby and I needed crushed ice. Desperately. I called and asked if they had crushed ice. The employee said they don't but THEY WOULD CRUSH IT FOR ME. this is your typical store. they are not open 24 hours a day - & when they are open you can count on finding what you need. i had two prescriptions sent in from my doctor, and i came straight to the pharmacy to get them so i could start taking my antibiotics. when i gave the kid at the counter my information, he told me it had only been submitted 12 minutes ago, and that there were 3 people ahead of me to have prescriptions filled and it would be around 20-25 minutes if i wanted to stick around or come back. that's cool, you're busy, i get that. flash forward 50 minutes, i've gone home, eaten a little bit of food so i can take my meds as soon as i get them, and now i'm back. as i pull in, so does the guy that quoted my time. guess he took his lunch break. that's cool, everyone's gotta eat. i walk in, and the woman behind the counter tells me that they still haven't started my prescriptions. annoying. she says that they'll start working on them right then, and i sit down to wait. NOW. the guy from an hour earlier walks in and loudly proclaims how he has the "'Itis" from lunch. loud enough that i, the person who feels like crap and is waiting on these medications to make me feel better, am pretty freakin annoyed. that's the guy that's standing between me and wellness? and with that exclamation he pretty much made it clear that his lunch break was way more important than making sure that the pharmacy is being run efficiently and effectively. super unprofessional and rude as hell. i gave two stars because the two women who were in the prescription weeds behind the counter managed to get my meds out in 5 minutes, even though they were answering phones, manning the counter, and working the drive through while their male counterpart talked about how lazy his lunch made him. read more

Walgreens - the front of a walmart store - Drugstores Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Slowest pharmacy on the planet. Every time I'm in it takes 30 minutes for them to serve the one person in front of me in line.

It has everything you could want, minus a kitty litter pan. Whatever, they have carmex and every thing else you could want. I am sure the pharmacy is legit and my last passport photo was taken at a Walgreens, but geesh, there is an overload of every seasonal kitchy thing made in China ever. But hey, I will need St. Patrick's Day swag, so I guess I know where I will stock up! God Bless America! read more

My go to Walgreens and one of my regular stops as they always have some great sale items - lately they have been mostly soap based! The shampoo my husband likes, hand soap, dish soap and dye free detergent. Coupled with coupons and their balance rewards program it is fun to see how cheaply I can get these items. They also really mark down their seasonal items and there is usually still a good selection to choose from after any given holiday. (I like to stock up). There is a huge parking lot that is never full and a red box my husband likes to use. Somehow I am the one who always winds up returning the movie so I am grateful this is an easy drop-off location! read more

Most walgeeens' pharmacies have been slow, but this one has been notoriously bad even when not busy. Unfortunately it's the closest pharmacy to where I live but I always need to plan roughly 45-60 min just for picking up a refill. Not to mention the pharmacists are extremely unclear about when you can pick up your prescription. They usually tell me "ok come back later" and then give me a rude look when I try to ask *when* read more

Suggest you read the reviews on this store (1235 E. Evans, Denver, CO) before you shop there. I have been a customer there for many years and spend a lot of money at the pharmacy. I'll be going elsewhere. WATCH the price of your items. They will vary significantly from visit to visit. Sometimes the insurance company gets billed correctly. Other times NOT. The Walgreen's web site is not user friendly and prices of scrips are frequently incorrect. Some of the pharmacy technicians are helpful and friendly others could care less about customer service. The pharmacist, Lori, is rude, abrupt and should be in an environment void of customer contact. read more

Literally the best Walgreens experience I've had. The ambiance was fantastic - the lighting and the music was perfect. I freaking hate having to give it ANY stars at all. Worst experience... I went to pick up photos and the cashier just left me there while he went to another cash register to help other customers. Came here the other day to buy some"Goo Gone" and a pack of straight razor blades so I could remove some decals from my car. The manager, Joffrey, was walking by so I asked him where to find the razor blades and explained why I needed them. He told me they have some in the back I could just use. He rang me up for the goo gone and walked out to my car with me with the razor blades. He then spent the next 10-15 minutes helping me scrape off my decals with the blades. I was so impressed that he went above and beyond to provide the blades AND stay to help me get the decals off. Thank you! read more

This is the worst pharmacy experience i've ever encountered. I went to the pharmacy window to pick up a prescription that had been called in earlier that morning. The technician seemed to be unable to find any record of the prescription my doctor called in. She asked me what the prescription was for and I told her and she disappeared into the back while I waited in my car almost ten minutes. She returns to the window to tell me it'll be another 15-20 minutes. I thought no big deal, I'll grab breakfast and return. When I returned 45 minutes later, I find a line of over five people back at the pharmacy. After waiting almost 20 minutes in that line for the sole pharmacy tech to try to explain why someone's insurance information has been lost, I finally reach the counter to be told my prescription "is filled, but the pharmacist has to verify so it'll be another 15 minutes." I told the lady that this was getting ridiculous and I see the pharmacist round the corner and TOSS MY PRESCRIPTION ONTO THE COUNTER before giving me a look of disgust. I have never experienced such unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior from ADULTS!!! If you can't do your job efficiently and according to the time frame you give your customers, it may be time to consider another career path. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this pharmacy ever again, and I encourage all to avoid it as well, that is unless you enjoy being talked down to and having your prescriptions tossed to you!! read more

I go because of the drive through, but the wait is horrible, no one seems to be in much of a hurry, and many times they do not have medications in stock and I have to go to another Walgreens anyway. Plus, they are more expensive than Safeway, across the street. read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever. The only reason I continue to use it is because it's close to my daughter's school. There is always a long line, no matter what time of day. I went in the other day and the pharmacist told me my son's meds were in stock. I told him I'd come back in a few hours for pick up. When I arrived later that day, the tech told me it was not in stock. And, when your meds do arrive, it takes the staff at least two day to even text you to tell you your RX is ready. Also, there have been at least three time where I said I'd be back in a few hours for pick up and they said it would be ready and it was not. Even when you call to see if your RX is ready, you're on hold for like 20 minutes. Plus, they are building like 30 condos right behind the store, so once those units are occupied the wait and service will be even worst. Pick another pharmacy!!! On the plus side, the staff who run the front of the store are always very nice. read more

This is the WORST PHARMACY I'VE EVER BEEN TO. They tell you when it's gonna be ready, which is already extremely late, you get there and it always another 20-45 minutes!!! I've never called and been on hold for less than 10 minutes, and half the time I sit on hold for 10 minutes and get hung up on. There's always a super long line of people waiting for prescriptions and not enough pharmacists to help. They don't have all of the medications they should in stock so I have had to call back my doctor to have them call in another one, then the pharmacy didn't get their call and didn't check their voicemail so they never knew about the new medication being called in and didn't fill it until I called!
