The pharmacy here is very busy and understaff but the group of pharmacists and technicians here are knowledgeable and awesome. Keep in mind this is the only pharmacy besides the one at Safeway left serving the growing Bay Point community. I just wanted to get on here to give a shout to the pharmacist French for helping me resolve an insurance issue quickly. I literally waited less than 5 minutes while he was on the phone with the insurance (insurance claims usually take forever!). Because of that I was able to get what I needed for my children. Pharmacy is trash . Called to check on a prescription and the lady answered and said "pharmacy is busy call back later" and hung up. So I called again and got the same RESPONSE it seems like every time I have to deal with this pharmacy my blood pressure boils .. & That's only the worse of the worse of encounters I've gotten from this pharmacy. I'll get told a prescription will be ready in an hour only to be told it won't be ready until the next day. Like idk if these people are real life just DITSY . Or if they just hate their jobs but some advice to the pharmacist ... take your job seriously. This is such a terrible location. The pharmacy never picks up their calls. They just put you on hold for 10-20 minutes and then they hang up on you. You'll call back. They'll do the same thing. You call back and try to talk to the manager and the manager doesn't do a single thing to help you. Beyond that, in store it smells like a diaper filled with rotten Indian food and looks like a bomb went off. All of the staff look angry and pissed off 100% of the time. And it's in a really sketchy part of the area so you are bound to get robbed because they don't ever have a security guard. A real dumpster fire of a location. read more

Coming here for over 15 years never had issue before waited for 40 minutes in the pharmacy line just to get approached at the window by a rude pharmacist telling me I have to go inside because the medication wasn't ready when she didn't even check then came back saying she have to clock out right now go inside because I can't wait for my medicine in the line yet I had it to waited over 40 minutes for the one person in front of me, when I asked for her name I was refused the answer they just said it was Pham or Phen that they didn't know! I go inside no line and was handed my medicine right away, I been coming every day for a week and they always told me it was out this is an important medicine I needed for my son! Walked to this Walgreens facility for FedEx, I was told the printer doesn't work and they are waiting on a email from FedEx to be able to scan the code!! Unbelievable!! The staff are nice and I usually print from my photos and pick them up here. I live 2 blocks away and had to finally say something about all the trash outside of the building. Stephanie was soooo so incredibly rude, rushing customers to the point of staring them down and screaming across the store "next customer checkout here" on repeat when NOBODY WAS READY YET! Hunting customers down and following them around, rushing them to grab their items and not letting them shop in peace and so they can actually look at the products. Once in line with her, she started yelling to converse with other workers across the store while in the middle of check out. Love everyone else there, and this Walgreens is well stocked. If not for her, I'd say this location is as pleasant to shop at as it's been since opening when I came here daily for snacks as a kid. The older man that I usually have the joy of checking out with is one of the friendliest retail workers Ive ever met. He's been here for years and never has such a terrible, impatient, rude attitude as I experienced yesterday with Stephanie. ... Other notes: pharmacy is slow slow, but if call ahead first to confirm your things are ready and that you'll be there shortly the only significant wait will be in the line infront of you. Trash is abundant outside, but it piles up badly in a few hours regardless of how many times I've seen the workers try to find a solution. If it bothers you as a local, call the city. Walgreens workers are unfortunately not paid to handle the litter and don't have the resources to do it regardless. Sad and disgusting but it's more a bay point issue than a Walgreens one. read more

Literally the absolute worst pharmacy ever -- especially everytime I try to call in ahead -- to make sure my prescriptions are TRULY ready!!! I get automated notifications that my prescriptions are ready to be picked up, but when I go in, they always tell me they're not ready and will have to come back in an hour!!! Pharmacy rarely answers phone. Continues to put me on hold. They told me to put my prescription on auto refill. I did and still late every single time unless I call. The employees are great at this location. Items seem to readily be in stock. The only issues are have are beyond the local control. #1 - the in store prices are WAY HIGHER than the online prices but they will not match their own online prices. I've asked 3 employees including 1 manager and they won't match their own Walgreens online pricing even though the policy online clearly states they do price match. The in-store pricing is often a full dollar or two PER ITEM higher than online. #2 - the outside parking lot is filthy. You literally open your door and climb through stacks of trash. They (or their property manager/owner) need to address this. read more

This place is off a Main Street but pretty busy. There's a lot of parking but it's pretty congested. They have a drive thu pharmacy. The place is like every other Walgreens over priced but convenient. I went because I need to get something fast. There was a long line and I'm 8 months pregnant sitting there waiting in line. A cashier by the name of tyree opened a new line and let some lady who wasn't in line go before me. I felt so disrespected I'm hella pregnant patiently waiting and random person who didn't wait in line. Beyond annoyed was an understatement. I did not say anything because he obviously has no common sense and I was not going to dumb down to a worker with no ethics and customer service. read more

I really don't like to leave negative reviews, I prefer to support our local businesses and keep tax dollars close to home...however, this has got to be the most ridiculous pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I've lived nearby for almost 7 years and with all the reviews about how bad the pharmacy is they have had more than enough time to get their act together. I've been sitting in this stupid drive thru for 36 minutes with only 1 car ahead of me for Rx's that have been ready since Thursday (it's Monday). The staff are usually cordial and helpful, I understand they get frustrated when everybody is angry and upset about the service, or lack thereof, they are receiving. At this point all I can say is CORPORATE DO YOUR JOB AND FIX THIS MESS!! The way this store is run is absolutely unacceptable...hire more pharmacy techs, provide better training, whatever you have to do. Been coming to this pharmacy for 10 years. Recently having surgery, I've been given pain meds. After my doctor wrote me a second prescription, fairly soon after my first the pharmacy wouldn't take it. When I tried to pick up my prescription the employee working there made me feel like I was a drug addict looking for my next high. It was Crazy how they treated me. I asked the pharmacist to fax or email my dr to get the prescription worked out. She said she would. Fast forward 4 days (no pain meds) I go to my dr apt and mention my situation with the pharmacy. My dr got straight on the phone with Walgreens. She couldn't understand why they didn't even attempt to get ahold of her. Now I'm back the Walgreens. Please believe me when I say I will never fill another prescription here. Or come here for any reason. read more

I would like to give a Big Shout out to Chris B pharmacy manager at Walgreens Bay Point. After getting the run around from my husband's insurance. I was frustrated,and unhappy. Chris noticed my frustration and with such kindness and genuine caring he explained the situation with my husband's insurance. The insurance representative stated that someone at Hartford Ins dropped the ball and failed to sign the approve my husband's post op meds! After several calls and four times of returning to pick up his meds, Chris noticed my frustration! It makes a difference when someone takes the initiative to help a frustrated costumer as I was!! Finally the problem was solved! Instead of working with several staff members as last time Chris took the initiative to take care of the problem!! Followed through to help solve my problem!! He also put my husband on automatic refills!! A game changer!! He was wonderful, kind, and most of all was patient and listen to my concerns! I have never been so upset before ever. I've printed photos that I OWN from JCP here with no problem but today the manager would not give me my photos. Nor was I able to receive my personal cell phone photos. They didn't even know they were jcp photos as I uploaded them from my personal files. They asked for a photographer release on letterhead. I called JCP and even they are shocked at walgreens request, in fact I have to wait for a higher up manager to help me. You've lost all my print business. I wont even return to another walgreens. You're within a mile of other printing facilities. You officially made me a CVS customer I could live without getting my JCP photos but really refusing to give me my cell phone ones has pissed me right off. read more

Not sure if thats a good or bad thing but anyhow, OK cashiers and they have everything you need for a normal,average,everyday life. She was happy to help me return some brand new headphones when the Walgreens off Railroad wouldn't, (although I had my receipt and rewards card) and help she did indeed. Her positive vibes made my day a whole lot better after having a very negative Christmas Eve. Thank you for helping me get some gas money to make it home in an emergency situation LOL As for the Walgreens it self, it's just another corporate Walgreens, what do you expect, a Nordstrom experience? I will say this, it's kept up in good shape though regardless of the area it's in, which is the nicest in the city (sarcasm). They always have a lot of great things on sale. The cashier is normally always aware is the in store coupons going on, and will apply them as necessary which is awesome. I've saved almost $10 in one visit because of this. The store is very orderly but unfortunately it appears to be understaffed. read more

I came for weeks ago to get film developed once the pictures were ready I did not receive a phone call that they were at the store. After deciding to come on my own accord the attendance in the store were very unhelpful and getting my pictures one of them even took another customer ahead of me and I was in line before that customer which slowed down my checkout process by 10 minutes because the individual who cut was taking passport pictures for their entire family. I applied here because it said they were hiring and they had a sign on the door saying they had interviews last Thursday from 2-4 so I went in for the interview turns out the manager wasn't there (rude,racist manager btw) so I tlked to the assistant manager Rita she was very nice ! And told me to call on Monday I call today and I tlk to the manager and he told me that my schedule wasn't going to work for him eventhough they had said they were flexible with their schedules he said I had no experience in retail so that wasn't gunna work either and he went on and adviced me to apply at McDonald's which made it all worse he already wasn't nice. This must be the worst pharmacy in the area. The customer service is non existent. The staff do their very best to ignore you as you patiently wait for over 45 minutes at the drive thru window to be tended to. They're no different if you walk inside and wait in line. There isn't ever a sense of urgency... considering they are providing meds, you would think they would at least pretend to care. Oh look, one just made eye contact and quickly looked away. This Walgreens location has friendly staff and a clean store. One thing that could improve is the pharmacy, as it's understaffed. The long wait time in line and weeks to fill my daughter's prescription caused me to switch to CVS. However, I still will remain a customer at this Walgreens. There are some key personnel here who seem to be very knowledgeable in the current promotions, sales, products and services and help and listen if I have any questions or suggestions. There are great sales here and this location carries a lot of products that I like, need and want. There's also a convenient redbox kiosk outside of the store if you want to grab a movie on the way out. read more

The pharmacist (skinny white dude) is rude as hell. Came to the drive thru with my grandmother to drop off a new prescription for her. No one else was in line. We pull-up to the window and no one even comes over the speaker to acknowledge that we are there. I can see 2 or 3 pharmacy techs and the actual pharmacist. None of them even look at us or give a little wave to acknowledge our presence. After sitting there for a good 15 minutes I pressed the call button to get someone's attention. The pharmacist picks up and in a very rude/condescending tone says "there are 3 guests in front of youuu......" And hangs up. Like??? I don't mind waiting, I know how busy they get, but there's no need to be a dick when no one even acted like they saw us out there. read more
