I enjoyed my garlic shrimp lunch while looking at some pretty views of the mountain in the island. It's a to go style spot with a very limited seatings inside and outside patio. The service was quick and the food came out pretty fast. Inside of this tiny restaurant, you can find some cute souvenirs for purchase as well.
Really glad I stopped here for food! It has parking in the back and is more of a to-go style spot but there are a few seats on the patio and a few barstools outside. Service was on point and they prepared the food pretty fast! I ordered the coconut sweet chilli shrimp which was so delicious! It comes with rice and a side so the portions are pretty big. My bf got some kind of sweet chili chicken too and the portions for that were huge! Came back on the last day for a breakfast sandwich and it was super tasty. Will definitely return next time I'm in kauai.
June 2023 Cute little spot. Seating can be limited. We were lucky to grab the bar counter table on the patio. My partner got the kalua burrito and a passion orange guava juice. I got the veg. The kalua burrito was good and rich, though a bit heavy for her at the time. We took part of it to go for later. The veg was good, had a lot of different textures to it. I liked the taro patty which provided a nice crunch against everything. The flavor really came through as well. They had a nice spicy sauce on the counter to use also. That juice tho was really good and fresh. A really nice pick me up with the meal to cut through things. Was a nice spot to sit tho a lot of little birds will come to visit you. We got to see some of the helicopters traversing the mountains which we were going to do the next day also.

Luckily we were just second in line, so we placed our order, got a pager and went and found outdoor seating. It took a while to get our food, about 30 minutes or so, but not the worst considering the crowds. I ordered the Kalua Burrito (a whopping $19), my wife got the basic b, and we got a half order of the churro french toast to split. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a bit disappointing. -The Kalua burrito is good, but not $19 good. Good amount of meat but in desperate need of a salsa or some sort of spice to break up the monotony. The chipotle aioli doesn't have much flavor and is more of just a light cream throughout. The size leaves a bit to be desired as well. -The Basic B was fine, and I mean, it's called the basic b. So can't expect too much. Pile of plain tots with some grilled spam and eggs. Can't complain, but nothing to compliment either. -The churro French toast is really the standout here, and honestly the only thing I'd consider worth the visit. Good crispy crunch on it and lovely dusting of cinnamon and sugar. If you want a sweet breakfast, coming here for just the French toast would be a good choice. Other than that, I'd recommend other breakfast options for both better local flavor and more bang for your buck.

Came for a late breakfast - got the Shoyu Chicken special (just ok) and the Katsu Chicken (INCREDIBLE). Don't skip the katsu chicken! Also tried the fuzzy nut and Hawaiian Milky Way. The coffee is pretty sugary/flavored and not very strong (no espresso shots here), so if you're a coffee purist this may not be the place for you. The food and views are great, though, and price is decent for how much food you get. We had plenty of leftovers for lunch/second breakfast. Unfortunately there isn't a ton of seating here, with 3 small tables on the front balcony, one small bar inside, and one small a bar outside. Altogether they can seat about 15 people inside and outside, though there are also some picnic tables by the road. Be prepared to take your food to go if needed! Also check out their cute merch, they have tons of funny stickers and some handmade gifts. No kama'aina here.
We got a full order of the churro French toast and shared it. It was SO HUGE we only ate half of it between the two of us! But it was delicious! I wouldn't expect anything like your typical French toast, because it is not that. It is very very sweet. Lots of sugar! We also got an order of tots to share. It was super good and a huge portion! My cold brew mocha was amazing as well! We will definitely be going back!
My wife and I came here for breakfast one morning and, in our opinion, this place is highly UNDERRATED!! The food was absurdly delicious and massively portioned! We went with the Kalua Pork breakfast burrito and the Churro French Toast, and both breakfast items delivered! The breakfast burrito was stuffed with tender and flavorful pork. But it also maintained a proper egg ratio (some breakfast burritos can be overstuffed with eggs in my opinion), and the tater tots added a perfect crunch. The burrito was delicious on its own, but I would highly recommend adding their house made guava hot sauce for a nice touch The Churro French Toast was insanely delicious. We had no idea how massive the portions were, or we would've definitely gone with the half-order for the two of us. The French toast was so tasty - a deep-fried goodness combo of sweet and crunchy. But what took it to the next level was the cold cream and syrup they served right in the middle of the whole dish. Seriously - it was to die for! The combination of the hot French toast with the cool cream made it taste like heaven on earth! We paid $19 for the full order French toast and $20 for the burrito, which sounds steep but they give you a ton of food for the price.

My first breakfast in Kaua'i! I came here for brunch with my group of 3 where we split three dishes from the menu. Service was accommodating and attentive while we navigated the menu; they offered recommendation as well which we really appreciated it. To drink, I ordered the cold brew with mac milk. It was refreshing! Not too creamy if that's not your style. Also not too sweet - which I really liked. Friend ordered the banana bread which was good but not stand-out. To eat, we split a garlic shrimp plate, breakfast burrito, and churro French toast. The garlic shrimp was my pick and it was seasoned well. Some parts of the shrimp were a little too mushy but overall good. The best thing on that plate was the mac salad! The breakfast burrito was good but even better with the salsa provided. The star was truly the churro French toast - which is less of a French toast and more like a fried donut? Nonetheless, the sauce/cream it came with was divine and paired amazing with the cinnamon-y crispiness of the bread. A cute little spot in Hanalei worth trying if you find yourself along the north shore for brunch. read more
Delicious spot to grab breakfast! This spot gets pretty busy and seating is limited. My husband and I got the full order of the churro french toast and the garlic shrimp with rice and mac salad. Garlic shrimps were nicely seasoned and tasty. Churro french toast was so good! Portions are very generous and we were so full at the end of our meal. We found some little ledge seating with 2 chairs by the entrance door. The inside is really cute and they have a variety of stickers and little things you can purchase as a souvenir. read more

The coconut flavor on the Fuzzy was pretty dominant but luckily we ordered another drink (forgot the name, my bad) and we mixed them together to get something pretty phenomenal. Drinks are mild, so consider getting an extra shot. read more
The Churro French Toast here is incredibly delicious! The half order is more than enough for one person, and the full size portion is perfect for sharing. We really enjoyed our meal here, and the coffee's were excellent as well! This was one of our favorite meals on the island. read more

Food: O.M.G. The kalua burrito is the BOMB!! Hands down one of the best burritos I've ever had in my life - it's THAT good. It's crunchy, juicy, flavorful, aromatic, and everything you can or cannot think of for a burrito. If you add their homemade pineapple hot sauce? Wow I can eat this all day every day. It definitely makes up for the churro French toast, which was waaaay too sweet for me. It's perfectly crunchy outside and soft inside, tastes almost like a donut. So if they toned down the sugar level by 50% and/or swap out the syrup for a sour sauce, then it'd be perfect. Value: The food sizes are HUGE! The burrito alone was enough for me and my husband... and the half order sure felt like a full order. The total was $28, which is crazy considering the prices on the island. Ambiance: hello? See my photo - it's a perfect Mountain View as you chomp down the burrito. It's also a gift shop, so as you wait for your food, you can walk around and get some cool local gifts. read more
My breakfast sandwich was so good I had to get it two days in a row... this is "TheVeg" non veg style just for me... I had them remove the "sausage" and add ham... it is so fresh and delicious!! It may very well be the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had!! My coffee was great too - it was the fuzzy nut or something like that... I highly recommend getting food here but seating is limited so plan to take it somewhere fun to eat it. read more
I stopped by here earlier today for my morning coffee. Wake up Coffee happened to be the only coffee shop open in Hanalei at 7 AM and so we headed on over. It's located in a strip mall off the main road with some parking. We ended up going to the coffee window and so there isn't much to say about it other than it had their menu on one side and you walked up and placed your order. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a large latte. After about a 5 minute wait, I had my coffee and we were on our way. The latte here ended up being quite good as the coffee was smooth and rich and it had a nice ratio of espresso to milk. The bottom line for me is that I would stop back here again in the future. I liked that they were open at 7 AM and thought the coffee was nice as well. read more

This place is so good! Definitely recommend the Kalua burrito 10/10! I don't usually like to eat shredded pork so I was just going to take a "bite" to try it but ended up wanting to share half the burrito! Omg loved it with the guava hot sauce! Together they're perfection! The churro french toast is also delicious! Half order is perfect to share for two in my opinion. The POG juice was also fresh and very good! The fuzzy latte was good, but I think it'd be better with espresso than cold brew. Their sign said they were out of espresso so not sure if it is usually made with espresso. The Ry-Boo was good I'd give it 7.5/10. Couldn't finish it b/cuz I ended up liking the burrito way more! Which even half of is super filling. Overall I would definitely go back. So far my favorite breakfast on the island! They even have super cute stickers and lil gift shop stuff! And the view of the mountains across the street are breathtaking! read more

Fantastic breakfast spot in Hanalei. The closest traditional American place we found with various egg options. The plain bagel with cream cheese was a hit with my youngest, while the two eggs and bacon and rice was perfect for my wife. The Veg breakfast sandwich was a hit with everyone. So good in fact my oldest had to order another one. Drip coffee was good, lots of other fun options as well. read more

TL;dr: be careful what you get there. Some things are great, some mediocre, some REALLY SUCKS. Breakfast pork burrito is a solid 5 stars here, hands down one of the best breakfast burritos out there. Meat was juicy and tender, sauce was on point, tater tots add that essential crunch element to the experience. Bug portion too. The bagel sando is very average, nothing to write home about. Their cold brew REALLY SUCKS. It's terrible black and it's even worse with milk - taste exactly like cough med. GROSS. UNDRINKABLE. Isn't it ironic that a coffee bar can't make a semi decent coffee? I'll go back just for the burrito though. read more

Best French toast I've ever had! It completely exceeded my expectations (which were quite high considering some of the reviews I read on here) and I was not disappointed! Crunchy on the outside with the softness of a perfect Cinnabon roll on the inside, the texture contrast was awesome. The whipped cream wasn't just some stuff out of a can, it was soft and thick, almost like some kind of whipped gelato (I like love to know how they do that). And the flavor- cinnamon and sugar with caramel- the best flavor and sugar bomb you could hope for! (Let it be notes, this IS dessert for breakfast, so I highly recommend getting some protein to go with it so you don't pass out from sugar overload). Also got the kalua burrito, which was huge and flavorful. The fuzzy nut was tasty, but I recommend enjoying it once your taste buds have calmed down from the French toast. Overall, it's the best breakfast I've had in Hawaii by far, and gets extra points for being memorable and epically delicious. read more
Parking: there is a small parking lot in the shopping complex and other lots nearby. We parked across the street and we got it pretty quickly but the area can get rather busy. Dishes: we ordered an iced coffee and a 1/2 order of their churro French toast Recommendations: We stopped by after running into a couple that said it was the best food they'd had on the island, what a review! We didn't order much because we got food from another venue but the Churro French Toast was solid and while sweet it was well balanced. Coffee was just what I needed for our early morning adventures. Service: very friendly and I was able to get a key to the restroom while we waited for our order (they have posted directions to get to the restroom and it was also very clean (both the bathroom and the restaurant). Ambiance: I'd say it's pretty laid back and like most places on the island in tourist popular places. When you'd go: we went for breakfast and enjoyed it but we didn't get a chance to try their many of their menu items. I would go earlier and keep in mind they close at Noon read more
Amazing! Loved the food. Wish we came here earlier on our trip. It ended up being out last meal in Hanalei! The garlic shrimp was amazing!! I would definitely get it again. My husband got the coconut shrimp this was good as well but more on the sweeter side. Our favorite was the garlic shrimp! read more

No wait at 7:30 for breakfast.. right in the same plaza as Pink ice cream . Shop has some few local artist gift items .. simple breakfast and lunch menu. Free Parking in the plaza ..might be full during peak hours . Garlic shrimp was full of flavored savory sauce and tasty as other reviews recommended. Veggie burritos was super large and full in stuffing inside . read more
