I had high expectations walking into 1 Hotel Hanalei. Instead, I left disappointed and $40 lighter after buying two drip coffees and pastries. The coffees were lukewarm, and for an "upscale" property, everything about this cafe felt bare-minimum. The real letdown: The staff. Not one smile. No genuine welcome. The whole operation felt like an obligation rather than hospitality. They handed me a paper cup--a paper cup--at a luxury hotel. There's nothing premium about that experience, and it made me question what I was even tipping for. For the same money and infinitely better service, I'd go to Java Kai in Kilauea any day. At least there, you feel like someone actually cares you showed up. If 1 Hotel wants to charge luxury prices, they need luxury service. Right now, this cafe falls short on both counts. Tucked between the gift shop and Welina Terrace, this the only breakfast spot at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. Sure theres complimentary waters and drinks spread throughout the resort, but if you need a fresh cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwhich this is the place to snag it. The hours could be longer to accommodate the time between the restaurants in the hotel open. You find yourself at the many bars getting a simple drink if youre thirsty. Their menu is super yummy and the aroma carries through the front of the hotel as well as in the check in area. Put up with the lines and try this place when theyre open. Dont wait until after 3 PM! read more

Located inside the stunning 1 Hotel, Neighbors cafe is the epitome of a picture perfect cafe. There is no place that can top the insane views you get sitting on the patio outlooking Hanalei Bay. Their acai bowls are so delicious. The perfect ratio of acai base to granola/fruit toppings. Every bite was so good. Also tried their breakfast sandwich which is like a fancy version of spam and egg sando but it was cold when we got it... still tasted okay but would stick to their bowls and pastries if you come here. Service is quick and friendly. Best part of coming here is getting to enjoy the views and take some gorgeous pics. Side note, you do not have to be a guest to dine here. Take a nice walk here if you're staying in Princeville and I heard you can also valet with validation too. read more

Only taking off one star bc it's extremely pricing ($8 for a coffee), but you're in Hawaii and at a retort so it's not surprising. We stayed at the 1 hotel and I love when delicious coffee can be found in your hotel! You don't need to venture off far away for your caffeine fix! We had the matcha with coconut and Mac nut latte multiple times throughout the week and it was delicious! It was so nice to start our day with coffee here or check in before their 3PM closure and enjoy the view and then go out into the city! Compared to our visit in June 2024 the food was not good and no longer tastes like it is made fresh. Example is the breakfast sandwich, rock hard bun as if it got wet and was reheated. This is a nice cafe located at the 1 hotel. Although it's a bit pricey, the amazing view and ambience makes it fairly worth it. Service was on the slower side, as all I ordered was an açaí bowl, but enjoying the scenery definitely distracted me. I can't speak of parking at the 1 hotel, since I was able to walk from Hanalei Bay Resort, where I was staying. My açaí bowl was really good. It's on the sweeter side compared to most other açaí bowls you'll try on the island. Also, the peanut butter here is delicious! I highly recommend adding it to your bowl. read more

I loved this place! It has breathtaking views and such a relaxed yet luxurious vibe. It is open to the public! You don't need to be stay at the hotel to eat here. I can't recommend it enough. I thought our food was very tasty and similar prices if not the same prices as other places for the meal. It's a walk up and order / pick up at counter service but the staff seem kind and helpful. It is valet upfront but there are swings to sit in while you wait. This is a wonderful hidden gem. read more

Excellent view! Friendly service! Food was great! We came multiple times here during our 10 day vacation. I had the acai bowl a few times as well as their banana macnut bread, very yummy! My husband had the sweet potato waffles and the breakfast burrito, he enjoyed both. He heard the breakfast sandwich was awesome but it was sold out when he tried to get it - if you're interested to try it, the staff recommended coming early in the morning as it is the most popular item. Then I realized it was perhaps the most perfect breakfast burrito I've ever had, and definitely the tastiest coffee. On top of the delicious food and drink, the views are BREATHTAKING. We rode our bikes over to this small cafe located inside 1 Hotel. They have a long outdoor balcony that overlooks Hanalei Bay. The view was breathtaking, and the simple cafe bites and coffee hit the spot! read more

The coffee shop in the one hotel hanalei bay has an exceptional view and is a great place to grab a coffee and enjoy watching the waves before a day. The burrito was notable with a really fresh salsa pairing. The hanalei PB&C smoothie was great and filling. Definitely expensive but you're paying for the view and the experience. read more

The space is amazing. Worth going and buying something just for the scenery. The service was also good. The people working there are really nice and seem to do what they should be doing. The food? It's what made this a 3 star. The food was literally the same trash you'd expect to find at any popular coffee spot. No thought microwaved . Also extremely overpriced for what it was. Premade garbage. It's edible, it's not like it was gross, but it wasnt good. For a facility so nice and the prices they charge, they should've put more effort into the product.
