Found an excellent little spot to sign our marriage certificates :)
Alex B.

Literally found this place because of an "adopt a highway sign". First and probably last time in my life I'll say that. We were up that way for our elopement on Mt Baker and had to stop. The pastries are fantastic and weekend quiches are a must. We ended up coming here 3 times over the weekend including in the middle of our elopement day to sign our marriage certificates. The backyard is so cute and apparently they have a live music series and beer garden there too. We hope to check that out soon.

Service is quick and baristas friendly. But sad to say like others have said, the latte was atrocious. I had to settle for another flavor because chai tea latte was not available. Either the espresso machine was dirty, they have pre ground coffee or...I don't know. The coffee flavor was bitter and even the vanilla flavor didn't mask it. And then my wife ordered quiche and it was not available 2 out of 2. Understandable they need to microwave breakfast sandwiches because they don't have a full kitchen. The breakfast sandwich was just OK. The view and outdoor seating are very nice. We will come back to try and get what we came for next time. We are hoping for better.

If you want overpriced, gas station quality, microwaved food this is your spot. Super cute environment, awful experience. Everything we ordered was basically inedible and a complete waste of money. NOTHING WE HAD WAS FRESH. We tried a chorizo burrito, a meat quiche and a cubano. Everything was soggy and lacking flavor. The pie crust on the quiche was especially bad. Never going back and would not recommend. This felt like tourist exploitation and i'm very saddened to have to write this review but there was no effort even the drink was bad. literally miserable :(

The quiche was so yummy! It's difficult to find fresh goodness like this but not in small area like Glacier. Small restaurant with big flavor, the food was good for small quick snack and my Italian soda was good too. Not a lot of ice and a good touch of bubble-raspberry. The crust was cooked perfect, nice and crisp, the top had the perfect golden brown color, good texture, good seasoning. The only reason for the 3 stars is because I was short changed. Continue to support your local & visiting communities, see you next time!

Really good coffee. The scones and muffins and other pastries are tasty. The raspberry apricot and rosemary scone was so buttery and crunchy. For breakfast, we had the veggie egg sandwiches. They do have vegetarian options but I didn't see any vegan ones. The vegetarian ones include eggs. The restroom is clean. They have quirky stickers and t shirts for sale. There's outdoor seating in the garden. This place is crowded and for a good reason. The pastries do sell off quickly and for a good reason. A must stop when you are in this area.

Limited service, poor quality baked goods, and confused service make this overpriced venue a last consideration as you head up Mt Baker.

The fries were crispy and complemented the meal perfectly. The service was friendly and fast, and the restaurant had a clean, welcoming atmosphere. It's hard to find a place that gets everything right, but this one definitely does. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great burger, and I'll definitely be coming back!

Checked this place out while visiting Harrison Lake Hot Springs. So other reviewers have stated…read morethat this place is great and you get a huge amount of food for having the reputation of a tourist trap. I will agree and disagree with some of these reviews from a perspective of a tourist but also someone who eats out a lot. The good: food was good, staff was friendly, ambience was enjoyable sitting outside near the lake in the shade. Family enjoyed the food, especially the fish although our pieces were crumbling and falling apart just touching them to move to other plates. Fries were good, tenders were good. Tartar sauce had a slight honey mustard taste which was a nice change. The bad: prices have gone up since last persons post 9 months ago. Items have increased $2-$3 dollars since then. Someone claiming the burgers were huge and could barely finish half of one, also confirmed by staff they were huge, was not so the case. It was a standard size burger I would compare to slightly shorter than a Big Mac at McDonald's. Other critique was the gravy on the poutine was slightly on the salty side as well. Dining bonus they give you 10% of at picnics ice cream and dessert place that is located next door. Overall it was a nice lunch but will cost you a considerate amount being in a tourist area. Our bill was $89 before tips for a family of 5 with a toddler sharing 3 entrees and drinking water.

They have convenient parking, which is a great plus. The concept is a charming self-service setup with table delivery. You place your order at the counter inside (where the friendly staff assists you) and pay first. While tipping is optional, the system is mostly self-serve for water refills...etc. We chose to sit outside on their lovely deck, pulling up counter chairs that offered a great view of the garden. For our lunch, we ordered two items to share: 1. Braised Pork Belly Benedict: The pork belly was incredibly tender, paired perfectly with delicate poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and a satisfying kick from the whole grain mustard on an English muffin. The seasoned tater-tots on the side were the ultimate crispy comfort food! 2. Aurora's House Granola: A beautifully balanced bowl! It featured a hearty mix of nuts, oats, and maple syrup, perfectly complemented by a refreshing citrusy hint from the orange, creamy Greek yogurt, and fresh seasonal fruit. Sharing both dishes allowed us to enjoy the perfect balance of flavors--savory, rich, and fresh. The food quality was excellent, and the outdoor setting made it feel like a true vacation meal. Highly recommend Cafe Aurora for a bright and delicious stop on Orcas Island! We left full and very satisfied.
