Bottom line: It's a breakfast burrito place. A little pricey for the size you get. It's a nice space to sit and enjoy the burrito. The burrito was tasty but not sure I'd be heading back except the Americano was one of the best I've had.

I got the steak breakfast burrito 10/10. The tater tots crunch was perfect and all the flavors blended together perfectly. Both sauces on the side are amazing. Chipotle aioli is really good and so is the cilantro crema is super good as well. I've heard a lot about this burrito on TikTok and people say it's overrated but honestly it was really good. I know a lot of people complaint is about price for size but idk I think this is the perfect size for a good breakfast. The vanilla latte was good nothing special like a 8/10. The service was good the girl at the front was nice. The inside is huge it was pretty empty though. I like the interior simple.

Vanilla bean latte - also nothing special but very sweet even though the coloring is good. Matcha latte with oat milk - good nothing special 7/10 Breakfast burrito - 8.2/10 small!!! Not too much egg you can actually finish it. Not too heavy or oily. It's really cute in here and tons of seating very clean and lots of natural light. Quick service and doesn't look like there's wifi here :/ no outlets to work from here also.

Food was good once I finally got it. It took almost an hour (the estimated time was 20 mins) despite them only having two food items on the menu. Breakfast burrito with chipotle aioli was very tasty.

I did not expect to eat the tiniest breakfast burritos of my life, especially for $12 with no meat and $17 with steak. They are about the same size as those frozen bean and cheese burritos you get from the market. The steak burrito had about 2oz of beef in it. The worst part is the steak burrito came with rotten avocado in it. We ordered and ate at the restaurant so there was no time for something fresh to turn rotten. We lost our appetites after biting into this burrito. I showed the woman at the register and she offered to make us a new one, but I opted for a refund, which she gave for the bad burrito. I'm very confused by why people like this place. It's honestly the worst and most overpriced breakfast burrito I've had.

As we walked in at 11:30 AM, the cashier was ready for us but we weren't ready. Shop have a lot of seating area. The food was actually super delicious. I loved it spicy and the juarez was full of birria meat!!!! This portion was still a bit small for my stomach though and it costed $12. The matcha latte was actually super delicious surprisingly. It was not overly sweet and the flavor of matcha was very strong. I just saw other pictures of Crossaint and did not find it anywhere on the menu but that might be a breakfast menu?

Came here on Friday with my partner. She has been dying to try this place. So we finally came here. The space is HUGE and the sound echos. The music was loud in the background and it was hard to hear our name when the food was ready. We had the corridor coffee and their burrito. Good on all fronts. Like others have said, the burrito is on the smaller side but I thought it was the perfect size for portion control. For the size and price, I thought it was a good price. I will come back again.

Ok i finally wanted to try so hopped on the metro to come out to pasadena. You can take the metro A line to memorial station and walk about 3-4 blocks here. I knew what i wanted so i jumped on the breakfast burrito $12 bucks with added steak $5 and bacon $4 bucks. Expensive yes, cost me $24 dollars for this which is way over priced. The burrito was very good though. It had a nice crunch with the tater tots with every bite but with little steak and bacon to justify the $9 add ons. Get the cilantro crema (best sauce) and the chipotle aioli to go with it. It's a huge place and i picked this over the LA location one because you can actually sit down and enjoy it here. The LA one i passed by has no real seating, only to go orders. They have free self serve water station which is a bonus at pasadena location because i wasn't trying to pay $7-$9 bucks for a small cup of orange juice to push the price over $30 bucks for it. Customer service was good and i was greeted right when i walked in. Overall, easily in my top 3 breakfast burritos i ever had but this will be a once in a while visit. Food rating: Breakfast burrito with steak and bacon 9.2\10

I went to Wake & Late only once for the food but twice for drinks cause I was thirsty from standing in the sun waiting for Matu's cheesesteak and W&L was on the way back to my car. The space is really interesting, it's huge and industrial with two big counters at the front, one for ordering and one for pickup. Even with my second visit I wasn't positive where to order because they don't have countertop POS machines. Their burritos taste good and I enjoyed both the bacon and the steak, especially with the hot sauce and cilantro crema but WOW. All the reviews warned they were small for $18/$19 and I was still wholly surprised by HOW small the burritos are. They're actually ~6 inches. I liked the bagels but definitely wouldn't come here for a bagel fix--they're different than traditional bagels, more like homemade or Pop Up Bagels in NY if that makes sense. Lastly, their drinks taste pretty good but the price is insane. $10 for a 10/12oz dirty matcha. $7.50 for the matcha alone. There's free (for now) 1-2 hour parking on Colorado and the side streets, but the city installed parking machines and most street parking will become paid soon.

Nice box, but maybe cut the cost and lower the price of the burrito

Let me say that the flavor of this burrito is 5 stars. Its just extremely f*cking tiny for price. $19.50 for a burrito that size is crazy, no matter how good it tastes. I even had beans added, but it seemed like there was many 5 beans in it. My daughter wanted a OGBB (OG Breakfast Burrito) so we went there as well. I included a Pic to show the size difference. Also, when I went to get the burrito, I was told I was in a locker, but when it opened, there was no burrito. The employee was holding it. But yeah, would I eat here again, maybe. It was really good. But not $20 good.

Wake and lake is always a treat. It is pricey for a breakfast burrito but I must say it is flavorful. My fiancé got me on the sauces, I normally only get the crema but he introduced me to using both the crema and chipotle aoli. Using both is so much better. Definitely won't get this often but it's nice to get once a while when hanging out in Pasadena.

I took home half a dozen bagels the other day - froze them immediately and then each day I defrosted one at a time for 2 1/2 minutes then cut it in half toasted it and it was amazing. I even tried some of the spreads that come with it, and believe me, they are to die for try it. It will be your new go to for bagels too read more

We paid $34 for one bacon and one steak burrito. The prices are very steep considering the small size of the burritos, and most of the burritos were filled with tater tots, instead of steak or bacon. Surprised by the good reviews for what we felt were underwhelming over-priced burritos. read more

This is my go-to spot for breakfast burritos, and now bagels! Their burrito is the perfect mixture of all the ingredients and textures. My personal favorite is the steak with the cilantro crema and hot sauce. Sometimes, I just add a little bit of salt at home, and it is absolute perfection. I see a lot of people complaining about the price, and while I understand it is a steep price to pay, I noticed they use really great ingredients. That's really important to me, and hard to find when eating out! I appreciate that they use pasture raised eggs, additive-free cream cheese and straus milk for their drinks. I recently tried their bagels and wow. The sweet onion bagel with scallion cream cheese is to dieeee for. I love the texture of the bagels, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. It is actually one of my favorite bagels here in Los Angeles. Honestly, I've ordered Wake and Late several times, and each time it is absolutely amazing. I personally feel this is worth the money in taste, quality, and consistency. Even their chai and coffee is delicious. I will keep coming back because they are definitely doing it right here. read more

I really wanted to love this place but it didn't live up to all the hype that social media was giving it. I ordered the bacon burrito which had bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado. I will say it is a really good burrito, although very small for the high price of $16.50. It's good for bacon lovers who want a lot of bacon, but for me there was way too much and as a result was very salty. The cheese was nice and stringy, eggs were fluffy and overall the taste was good! It also comes with a side of cilantro crema which adds a nice flavor. Overall, the place is good if you don't mind the price and abundance of bacon. read more

The burrito is overpriced for the size. The drinks are trash. I tasted the worst matcha latte. It tastes like water with a strong matcha aftertaste. The flavor did not blend well so I give the drink a 3/10. The dirty chai latte is a 6.5/10. Save your money. We also tried their bagels with strawberry cream cheese. I will say that cream cheese looks homemade and tastes good. Other than that for two drinks, one burrito , two bagels and cream cheese I wouldn't say it's worth $45. The cashier messed up and doubled our bagel order and cream cheese even tho we repeated our order 4 times . It's ok though we figured he was still new and everyone needs to start somewhere. I'm just sad I paid all that and was disappointed... not even satisfactory. read more

Omg where do i start!!! So they had a soft opening today, where they gave away full size cinnamon rolls, breakfast burritos (many to choose from) and a free full size drink! I haven't tried the cinnamon roll yet because im so full from the delicious breakfast burrito. Omg, i got the bacon one. It was loaded with bacon, hashbrowns, fresh eggs, cheese, avocado. It came with this delicious green cilantro sauce. Everything meshed so well together!! I'm an expecting mama and this burrito hit the spot and allowed me to take a nice nap lol. I will definitely be back to pay full price for this burrito! I highly recommend this place. The service is excellent as well! Can't beat good food and service. Orange juice tastes like its freshly squeezed. It too was absolutely delicious ! Don't sleep on this place. Thats all I gotta say lol. They will open this coming Thursday and be open I believe the sweet gentleman said Monday thru Thursday to start and eventually 7days a week. read more

Not sure why the burrito was priced at $17?! It was small, greasy, and tasted only like the tater tots included inside. They should rethink their pricing or work harder to achieve the burritos featured in their photos. The latte wasn't bad tho and the vanilla syrup was bold and unique. read more

I discovered them on instagram and started following them. I saw many food pages talking about them saying one of the best breakfast burritos and Bagels in LA. Started craving it and I wanted to try it so bad I finally went this morning and big deception! The burrito itself is good but it's the smallest breakfast burrito I've ever seen! It's the size of the palm of my hand. And for $17 - $18 !!!!! It's a joke! For the bagels you can't even buy one, you are forced to buy 2 minimum and honestly nothing special it only comes with cream cheese. So conclusion it's not bad but ridiculously expensive for what it is, there are much better breakfast burritos for half the price! Don't waste your money! read more

Let me start with saying the breakfast burrito is just FINE. Nothing special flavor-wise however, and it's so SMALL for the $16 price tag. You could get a much bigger and better tasting breakfast burrito for much cheaper in a million places in Southern California. The experience is not impressive either. They're located in a historic building in Pasadena, which is quite nice. However, what a waste of such a magnificent space. There is no dining within the building and they shove all the tables outside along the busy street. We had to walk half a mile away to find a table when they could've just put a couple more inside their huge building. It's a shame. Pros: - It tastes okay, but let's be honest how could someone really mess up a breakfast burrito (so I'm not going to give them any points for this) Cons: - Overpriced - Little seating - Small portions - Limited options read more

Sauce is bomb, price ain't so bomb to be completely honest. If the burritos could be just a bit larger. For the bacon burrito, it was like 6 inches and that's smaller than my hand. Overall very delicious but size and price wasn't the greatest. read more

If I'm paying $16 for a breakfast burrito, I expect the avocado to be fully ripe. I've been ordering wake and late burritos for years, from the downtown location and now the pasadena location. Both times I have ordered from the pasadena location, the avocado has been rock hard and not even close to ripe. Completely inedible. read more

the food is good! don't get me wrong it's a great breakfast burrito but there's absolutely nothing to justify charging $20 for a burrito that's half the size of what you can get for half the price from any burger joint in the immediate area. this is just blatant price gouging. if they're providing health insurance and pay well above minimum wage that would be the only thing where i would continue to support this business because at least i know the people are being taken care of. otherwise, i can't support blatant greed like this read more

Food was delicious! The bacon burrito was awesome, has the crispiest tater tots inside. Small for $18 but they use fancy ingredients and pay their staff well- a sign said no tips. Very cool! The sweet onion bagel is soooo good and the scallion cream cheese was fabulous! The parm bagel was okay, not a ton of flavor, but the bagels were bagel goals! Crispy and hot on the outside and an airy chewy inside. LOVED! The lox cream cheese wasn't great. Texture was grainy and the flavor is a powerful dill with little chunks of salmon. The latte was strong and bold- a little too much for me but if you like dark coffee It's basically a To go counter you order take a seat and they yell your name. Tables turn fast and there was no air conditioning inside so it was cooler to sit outside in the shade. Small tables - not an ideal space if you have a bigger group. Overall the food is great but $50+ for breakfast is a bit much for regular trips! Definitely worth a try though! read more

Not so great service waited 15 mins for one drink Im on 30 mins lunch so this was just a waste of time and money especially for 9 dollars and some change for a tiny cup of matcha. I asked for it to be sweetened even more but it was just bitter not a great place tbh, service was slow and the male white barista is just dancing like a goof and chatting with coworkers. I got there yesterday for breakfast with my son. We ordered two burritos and two used coffee. Bill was 53 bucks. It's a joke. Burritos were length of women's palm and maybe,maybe 3" in diameter. Taste was good but price hmmm.... Ambience is terrible, chairs and tables from Salvation Army store. It's a shame , but people ordering and paying this ridiculous prices. Good luck! That was my first and last time. It's Pasadena a little of places to eat!!! read more

The food here is very good and the setting is very nice. Prices and policies are another story. $18 for a breakfast burrito. $3-5 per bagel, $3-5 for the spread, and you must purchase TWO of both. The first couple of times we visited, we accepted the "two bagel minimum" but the additional demand of two spreads is totally over the top. You're not getting out of here for less than $20, period. I mentioned the "spread policy" is new and they responded with a mock-cheerful "Thank you for understanding" i.e: this policy is not up for discussion. For the record, I don't understand. The whole thing is aggressive and alienating. Won't be back. read more

Delicious, delicious burritos (we got the bacon and the veggie burrito). Really loved the pickled jalapeños inside the burritos and they're the perfect size - they're not giant, which I appreciated. I love the pickled jalapeños inside. The rip and dip bagels were great (my 3 yr old kid loved this concept). The staff at this location is so friendly and gave us a complimentary orange juice which was sooo good. I can't wait to go back. read more

Mediocre breakfast burrito. The flavors were mild, my burrito had more potatoes than anything else. The size is relatively small making the cost ridiculous. The service was good however. LA definitely has a ton of other great places for breakfast burritos. read more

I've been hearing a lot about Wake and Late recently with a lot of people calling it one of the best burrito spots in LA. I finally got a chance to try it and honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. First off, it's located in Old Town Pas, but finding free street parking was surprisingly easy even during weekend brunch time. The setup is straightforward, with an indoor ordering area and an outdoor seating area (only a handful of tables). Service was efficient and friendly, so no complaints there. Now, onto the burrito itself. I ordered the Steak Breakfast Burrito, and the ingredients were cooked and prepared well. The taste and texture were solid, but that's where the compliments end. Look, the burrito is decent (maybe even good) but it's far from special. In all honesty, it's something you could easily replicate at home for a fraction of the price. The biggest issue here is the price. I couldn't believe that I paid $20 for a burrito that's barely bigger than a dollar bill (pictured below). It's laughably small, and there's no way you could eat this and feel full. You'd likely have to find another meal afterward to satisfy your hunger. Even for LA, the pricing is just outrageous. I don't know if it's the same for the other location(s), but it's like getting half the size of a typical Chipotle burrito for double the price. Again, while the burrito is solid in terms of taste and texture, I can't justify coming here unless they make some significant changes. I hate complaining about pricing for smaller businesses, but it's just exorbitant for the portion size you receive, and it's shocking that this place remains popular despite this issue. Unless they reduce their prices or increase their portions, I won't be returning anytime soon and can't recommend this place at all. It's unfortunate because there's potential here, but the value is simply abysmal.
