I've been looking for good Chinese takeout food, and this place did not disappoint. It's tucked away in a strip mall near the post office on Peabody. I called in my order, and it was ready quickly. Beware--the portion sizes are HUGE! My entree with chow mein served me for three meals! read more

Horrible restaurant the food is ok, but I can't even come in and enjoy with my family. THEY DO NOT HAVE A BABY CHANGING STALL. How do you come into a restaurant without no bay changing stall. It's ridiculous. They expect me to put her on the dirty floor. I came on a rainy days because my girls love Chinese's food and I have a 1 year old. I went to the restroom to change her diaper and boom nothing. I had to leave the restaurant while it's pouring outside with my little one to change her in the car. We both got very wet ... I'm very disappointed... I'm coming from Vallejo and heard great things. Making sure not to recommend this restaurant to any one in my family. read more

The service was friendly, quick, and efficient. The food was plentiful and hot. The food was just okay. Still looking for local Chinese food that is good. read more

Thought I would visit an old friend. It's been years since I have last been here and it's still serving great food. Everything we got is as just as I remembered it, very tasty and fresh. We got the lemon chicken lunch special and the Mongolian beef lunch special. While the lunch specials have gone up in price like everything else over the last couple of years the food remains top notch. I would have gave it 5 stars but the soda machine isn't working and I'm not paying $3.75 for a canned drink, I might as well bring my own canned drink next time. read more

Very good food and service! Came for lunch with my mom and toddler! Food came out quickly and hot. The sautéed green beans were by far my favorite! So good! And the egg drop soup was delicious! I personally was not a big fan of the broccoli beef (the sauce tasted off to me hard to explain), their fried rice is very good and so are their spring rolls! They didn't have Togo cups for my drink so they made me one and I absolutely LOVE the creativity and dedication to helping me get my drink Togo! :) very sweet staff! Highly recommend! read more

Wah Shine - Soda togo - Chinese Near Me - Vacaville, California

Great food. We have been enjoying Wah Shine's great food and service since the early '70's.

Nice big dining room and pleasant service. The food is pretty average Americanized Chinese cuisine. Tried several dishes but none to recommend. read more

We ordered and picked up over $100 worth of food including 2 orders of their advertised Wanton soup. We are all dissatisfied/dissappointed . Soup taste very ordinary , only about 5 wantons in each container and much of chicken pieces which are terrible. Other disease are all terrible! The only dish that taste decent is the chowfunnoodles! read more

We stopped by for lunch, and it was a really enjoyable meal. The lunch specials came in big portions, definitely worth the price. The food wasn't oily at all, which we appreciated, and the flavors tasted authentic and fresh. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch with great value. We'd happily come back again! read more

Very good and tasty food. Very clean . Prices are great ! Service is fast and friendly!

One of my ATF's!! Food is amazing, service is stellar and ambiance is always a vibe. We frequent here at lease 2-3 times a month. Only thing I wish was that the bar area was open to public. Maybe one day, hint hint... read more

Wah Shine - Curry Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Vacaville, California

Amazing prices for amazing food . Really good costumer service overall. I recommend the Cherry Chicken.

I stopped by Wah Shine to pick up dinner. I was tired after a long work day. The service is always friendly and welcoming. Every time I order to go, they offer me a glass of water (which I always happily accept!) while I wait for my food. The food is always hot, delicious, and the portions are very generous. The decor is not the flashiest, but, it's cozy. I appreciate how well they pack my food to go, provided extra spicy sauce, and cut a hole in the corner of the packaging to let the steam out. The food is consistently delicious. Tonight's dinner: Orange chicken Chicken fried rice Fried prawns Egg rolls read more

Very attentive service. Great friendly staff our waitresses was an absolute rock star. Food was served very quickly and the quality was excellent for the price point. Broccoli seemed very fresh and cooked perfectly and the beef was very flavorful and tender. Sweet and sour pork was crispy as all get out. Will definitely be back to sample more of the menu. read more

I came in with high expectations as the employees were very warm and friendly. The food was AWFUL BAD TASTE! IT HAD RED COLORING ADDED AND LOTS OF SWEET!! I COULD NOT TASKE THE CHICKEN. The soup had a plain flavor and egg rolls tasted like garbage. read more

The employees here were so friendly, and I wish I could give a higher review based off that alone. But if I'm being honest, I did not like the food here. We had chow mein, seafood egg drop soup, crispy chicken, and sweet and sour pork. Everything tasted really plain to me and lacked flavor. Nothing stood out as being good to me. The restaurant was spacious at least and looked like it could accommodate large parties. read more

We ate at this restaurant yesterday. It's been awhile. I forgot how really good this place is. I had almond chicken on their lunch menu. It was plentiful and delicious. The service was attentive and wonderful. If I could give 10+ stars, I'd do it. This restaurant is a gem! read more

Excellent service. Great food! Clean and spacious dining area. Waiters check on you frequently and come to refill your water glass without you asking. Food is served hot and served quickly. If you are hungry you can count on being served your first entrée within 10 minutes. Best sweet and sour chicken!!! Has a rich flavor dark color just like I remember it back in the 80's. Also back then there was no carrots n peas in your fried rice. Just egg, green onions, your choice of meats and tons of flavor. Wah Shine's pork fried rice is tasty I'm just not a fan of the peas n carrots and prefer barbecue pork fried rice. I will still order their fried rice though. The beef broccoli sauce was ok. Nice bright green large tender broccoli stems. Beef was ok. Had a couple chewy pieces but nothing to really complain about. On the website the menu showed asparagus and bok choy vegetable dishes but they no longer serve these. Their chow mein is also very good!!! The fried salt/pepper chicken is excellent!!! Thinly sliced chicken coated with a lightly color tempura like batter and fried to perfection. Not oily. Has a crispy crunch and is so so delicious!!!! I will definitely go back to try different entrées. So happy I tried Wah Shine. Now, whenever I crave Chinese food this is my go to spot in Vacaville! By far the better tasting Chinese cuisine compared to the two-tone bear franchise restaurant... hands down!!! If it's the drive-thru service you want Wah Shine's takeout orders is just as fast. You get larger portions for the price and better quality foods. read more

I ordered takeout for 4 items. Salt and Pepper Fish was light, crispy and very tasty. It was nicely seasoned and every piece had a consistent texture. Broccoli Beef was packed with flavor. The broccoli had a nice snap and was cooked perfectly. The beef was soft and succulent. Combination Hong Kong Style Chow Mein was excellent. This entree is not available at most restaurants in the area, so it's a big plus Wah Shine makes it, and makes it right. Eggplant in Szechuan sauce was a nice vegetable entree to complement the other choices. I placed my order inside the restaurant and I waited about 15 minutes. The ambiance is casual and there is a nice place to sit for takeout customers. read more

We are always searching for good Chinese food so we gave this spot a try. Service was great and food was good. Is an older, more traditional looking restaurant. Pricing vs portion size was good and they had all of our go-to favorites on the menu. We will be back the next time we want simple but good Chinese food. read more

Well me and wife go here once in a while .she had lunch special sweet sour pork and chow mein it was a healthy plate full of food . It comes with hot sour soup egg roll cheese fried wonton. Price lunch plate $13.95. Good bang for your buck and she liked it. Me on the other hand I had combination Chop Suey. It looked amazing cause I love veggies. Beef shrimp chicken, i was excited to try but it fell short in flavor kinda bland. I was ready for veggies disapointment the were so under cooked. I got a great set of teeth was really tough to eat broccoli was raw carrots raw I had to ask for a knife had so much cabbage barely cooked it made the plate look big .More meats less cabbage. Everything else was edible. Service was great our waitress was good. When I go to eat a dinner or lunch I like a nice and quite meal so me and my wife can chat. Well there was a very loud Chinese woman yelling orders or whatever it was very annoying she was answering the phone by the chef. Could of done with out her being very loud. We will come back next time I will ask for veggies cooked well. $52.00 with tip. Oh order of egg rolls was good nice and crispy not doughy. read more

Tasty food, nice help at good prices! The food here is consistently great. I'm a big fan of the lunch special - bang for the buck, can't beat it. The many has so many options you can please even the pickiest of eaters. I'm a big fan of the spicy chicken and prawn dishes. Soups are probably my favorite thing here, the wor won Ton and the egg drop are the best. The staff is quick to get you seated, take your order and happy to recommend their favorites. The restaurant is really big and they've got some newer seats which is cool. The place still has that family vibe they've had since I first came so it always feels comfortable when I go in. read more

The business is clean & welcoming and the lady at the front was pleasant. The waiter was all business but not rude and checked on us several times, one of the other staff checked on us also. Wah Shine - Shrimp chow mein broc beef fried rice sweet sour chicken. Yummy!! - Chinese Near Me - Vacaville, California

This was our first time at Wah Shine, we were a party of 8. We ordered the Egg drop soup, the Won ton soup, a pork and a shrimp fried rice, a kung pao chicken and a kung pao shrimp. The servings were generous. The food was fresh and delicious. The Egg drop soup felt like a warm hug. I especially enjoyed the pork fried rice, I am used to seeing it with the bbq pork, which this one was not that did not take away from how good it was. The Kung Pao chicken could have had the veggies chopped smaller, but it's no big deal, it had plenty of peanuts which was a nice surprise. The service was great our water cups were never empty and empty plates were collected at an appropriate time. The staff was kind and very inviting. The place itself is a little outdated but the service and food make up for it. We will most definitely be coming back to Wah Shine. Sorry no pics. read more

2 stars, 1 for portions 1 for good orange chicken. Sadly, lacks flavor. Ordered combination fried rice, combination chow mein, orange chicken and spring rolls. Spring rolls were great and packed! Enjoyed that they are cut in half. Orange chicken was the best, but rice and chow mein were really flavorless. I avoid panda due to lack of flavor and freshness but this place gave me a similar experience, I'm not sure if I will come back. read more

This was one of my aunts favorite places so we have come here several times over the last few months... the servers are always nice... the food was good.. we are family style with lemon chicken, kung poa chicken, Mongolian beef potstickers and rice... and hot and sour soup. The soup had shrimp in it so I was out... lol I do wish I would have known that before we ordered. The lemon chicken was crunchy the sauce was good and didn't smother the chicken which I appreciated! The kung poa was very good! The fresh veggies makes shag dish! And the Mongolian beef super good! They seem to specialize in take out they were hopping with take out! The inside is clean but could use a little updating but don't let that fool you, the food is fresh and good! read more

We been coming here for years and the good is so good! The service is great and they are always friendly.

Stopped in for lunch. This place is delicious. It was a late lunch for us, so the place was mostly empty. Our food came out really fast. It was very tasty. I got the shrimp and broccoli lunch plate, my husband got the lemon chicken lunch plate. We were surprised by how huge the portions were. We'd ordered extra egg rolls for our son because we were expecting smaller portions and thought he'd still be hungry after picking off our plates. We were wrong. We could have all split one lunch platter. Im stuffed, but already looking forward to re heating the rest for dinner later. read more
