    Large combo sashimi plate

Good bang for your buck, especially for weekday lunch! I came here with my friend at 1pm on a weekday. No line. Fast service. Good food, just like usual. I was kind of surprised they cleared everything at 1:55pm. They were not kidding that lunch service was only until 2pm! Even though we only had one hour to eat, I was more than satisfied with my meal here. The hand rolls have a little bit more rice than I would like, but they were delicious! The wait staff and sushi chefs were very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend!

The sushi was great and refreshing! My favorite things were the cucumbers, miso soup, CA rolls and tuna. The service was great and fast.

Stopped by on a weekday lunch and there was no wait and plenty of available seating. We asked to sit at the counter for the convenience of the conveyer belt and ordering the specials. Started off with miso soup and grilled salmon as appetizers. Most of the basic sushi rolls and salad were on the conveyer belt whereas special rolls/plates, sashimi, and hot items were made to order. Fish quality of the sashimi platter was pretty decent today. I know it can be a hit or miss. The special plates consisted of sashimi topped with jalapeño and their house dressing of mayo and sriracha. The special rolls were average, a little repetitive tasting after a few rounds. The dessert items they offered were either fried banana, fried sesame ball or oranges. Wish they had some ice cream or more fruits Overall, $23 is a great price for AYCE lunch (until 2pm) but I'd skip coming for dinner since it's just the same items at a higher price. I'd imagine the wait for the made to order sushi would also take a lot longer if we came at the busy peak meal times.

Make sure you get a good spot. We unfortunately did not. Some sushi was good. Not as fresh. Hit or miss. But what do you expect when there's a conveyer belt involved. You're basically playing roulette. The spicy octopus was surprisingly delicious. Not the nicest atmosphere place but the chefs were very kind. The waiter on the other hand was very short. We got our bill 20 minutes into being there. We felt rushed. Mind you, we came from out of town for a football tournament. We just wanted a nice, slow dinner. Probably won't visit again. But I like to try everything once. (:

This place a small but you can make reservations. We have been here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. It's all You can eat the waitress takes your order for drinks and apps, for sushi you walk to the conveyor belt and grab what you want, but if you want to order specific sushi/hand-roll the line can get busy. The price is worth it.

First time back since the pandemic. My friend and I did the lunch buffet. I got there about an hour before they close and the staff was so nice. Their policy states no seating until your whole party is present and my friend had not arrived yet. The host gave me a table before my friend got there and let me know there's an hour before they close if I wanted to stay. The service was great. I got to order drinks and food right when I sat down. I went up to the sushi counter and got my sushi quickly. The variety was good. I had jelly fish salad, hand rolls, tempura, lots of sushimi, sushi rolls and dessert. Everything was fresh. The tempura was hot and crispy. We ate so much in that hour. Definitely a must try if you like sushi.

Pretty good for AYCE sushi. Not a lot of options and everything seemed pretty repetitive after a few rounds. But overall fish quality was pretty good. We enjoyed the soft shell fried crab. You can order the sushi fresh or take it off the conveyor belt. Made a reservation ahead of time. They were pretty busy on a weekend lunch time

Sushi was fresh and tons of it. Server was very nice and polite. It's a little loud but you can still carry a conversation.

We were at this sushi buffet last Saturday. There were 4 of us and waited for about 10 min. Please make sure to reserve your spot in Yelp to avoid a long wait. When we were seated, our server was so nice and helpful. Explained to us the menu and how the stations worked for ordering sushi as well as appetizers from the kitchen. This place was so efficient with your orders. Best sashimi for AYCE sushi. Their salmon, hamachi and albacore melts in your mouth. They're so buttery!!! Tuna was also perfect and the Eel was so soft and just delicious!!! The Grilled Hamachi Kama was so freaking amazing, we ordered 3 rounds for 4 of us. The spicy seared tuna and salmon were refreshing. They have a lot of choices including sushi rolls, tons of appetizers, desserts and fruit. You also have a revolving sushi if you're sitting by the counter. Ambiance was perfect for this setting. We ate our hearts content and we were very stuffed. You have to stop by this place if you're by Vacaville and love sushi! Just make sure you're hungry!

I'm not sure if we went on a bad day but I thought it was just ok. Our aunts love this place so they took us here to treat us. First impression, we thought it was really cool with the rotating belt just like the revolving sushi spots in SD & LV. However my kids & I thought the salmon sashimi was really fishy. The quality of the raw items that day didn't taste so fresh. And the fried banana dessert that day was way overripe & was just mushy. I did however enjoyed the grilled yellow tail collar & the red bean sesame balls. The place was packed for lunch but our large party was seated right away. And the servers were great. Probably not a spot my family & I would go to again when we come back to visit. But the in-laws do love this place & will continue to come. :)

Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Portion to Price: 5/5 Overall: Can't go wrong with all you can eat sushi! I'll be back. The extended review... Food: 4/5 - Lots of good options to choose from. It was a good variety and I especially loved that they had sesame balls for dessert! Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 3/5 - This place gets packed so be sure to get there early and also you may need to wait for what you want since people can be vultures. Portion to Price: 5/5 - All you can eat...LOVE IT!

    Alvin C.

Came in on a rainy evening. Not packed but busy. Our service (server Isabella) was excellent. She came by frequently enough to check in on our drinks and orders. To order sushi, you have to go up to the counter to pick up sushi available on the conveyer belt or if you want something else. The line gets long. Sushi is not high quality but remember you're in California not Japan. For the price, it's worth it. We typically get sashimi, nigiri, tempura and the man hand roll which good.

On DoorDash the deluxe entree options with seafood like lobster and scallops are around $30. The non-deluxe options are around $20-25. The entrees come with grilled veggies and fried rice. We also ordered gyoza. Everything arrived still hot. The gyoza was still nice and crispy. The dipping sauce for the gyoza has some red pepper flakes in it so prepare for a kick. The fried rice is really flavorful and there's a lot of it. In those three compartment take out containers it fills the largest compartment. The scallops were cooked well and seasoned well. I appreciate that you have your choice of doneness for the steak. Next time I would add some miso soup or salad as sides. The entrees were good but without something fresh or soup to balance it out it started to edge on the verge of a little too salty for my taste. For a meal for two people (with leftovers) the total came out to around $66 on DoorDash. I'm sure the pricing is better in-store. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor, even with the teriyaki sauce. My husband ordered the spicy tuna roll, which tasted like canned tuna mixed with spicy sauce. However, the rolls were cut in a nice bite-sized shape; not too large, not too small. The food was very mediocre.

Sometimes it's too firm, lacks flavor, or even worse, the texture is mush (sign of spoiled / old fish). I've always been wowed by the high quality of fish they use at Ayame and it's what keeps me coming back. It's also why I ask for double sashimi in my bento because I'm here for the good stuff. The miso this time around was fairly diluted. Not sure what was going on there. The side salad was good and always a nice palate cleanser. My wife ordered the bento as well and she asked for sashimi as was as a Philadelphia roll. There was something "off" with her roll. The smoked salmon tasted like it had an artificial smoke flavoring added to it which threw off the balance of the other flavors. Swing and a miss on this one. The ambiance itself hasn't changed a bit. Still a no frills place that focuses on the food and I appreciate that. The service was quick and efficient. It's possible to get in, order, eat, and leave, all within 45 minutes, which is what we did since they were close to closing their lunch service. Thanks Ayame for always using high quality fish.
