Very inviting Sushi spot. Place is good but it's lacking some flavor. Service is fast and they are friendly.

Umi never disappoints! The service is consistently top-notch--staff are always attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The restaurant is spotless every time we visit, which makes the experience even better. This time, we enjoyed the Chicken Yakitori, Spring Rolls, Fried California Roll, Tuna Sashimi, and the Samurai Roll. Everything was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. You can truly taste the quality in every bite!

My husband and I got Bento boxes and Mom got the Udon Soup. Ours came miso soup, salad, rice and entrees. See pics below for details. Nice service, quiet and clean atmosphere. A must visit for lunch or dinner... before or after movie.

I've been coming to Umi Sushi for many years. In high school my sisters and I used to come in so often they used to have our order memorized. I moved to Dixon so I order takeout more than eating in usually. Yesterday my fiancé and I got 2 sushi boy rolls, a super California roll, and 2 salmon rolls. My fiancé always orders there karoke appetizer, and I got the edamame. They offer a spicy garlic or regular edamame. I got the regular but the spicy garlic is really good too. I always get a sushi boy and salmon roll whenever I go and sometimes we pick out another roll or too. The other day we tried the shrimp lover roll for the first time is it was soooo good, along with 2 Oregon rolls, and 2 sushi boy rolls. (Pictures are from 2 different days) The service has always been great.

The service was amazing, servers are super nice and welcoming. The food was sooo good and service was fast, the seating is also very comfortable.

Service was great and quick, everyone there is very nice and helpful. Tried the fried rolls and their bento box both were delicious! Great atmosphere and fresh sushi! My favorite sushi spot for sure

    The ambiance

Overall, really good food! It's always really yummy! It's usually empty so we get seated pretty quickly! The service is quick and they always check up on you to make sure you're all good! They always very accommodating. 10/10 :D

The latter was flavorful, but a lot of food and cut into large slices. Def. recommend the food. Their service model is non-traditional. You order using screens at the table, and there are several servers but no one is assigned to your table specifically. Over multiple visits this has led to moments of over-service (being offered water 3 times in 5 minutes, for example), or under-service (running out of napkins and having to flag someone down). Also, the "call staff" feature of the table-side kiosk is limited to requesting the bill. Look forward to returning again soon. Yo Sushi is never a disappointment. If you order three rolls for your table ask for the boat!

Honestly, there wasn't a single thing I didn't want to try. I usually judge a sushi spot by its dragon roll, and this one absolutely delivered. The tempura was warm and crispy, topped with fresh avocado and rich unagi. Best of all, the rolls were the perfect size, so you don't have to unhinge your jaw just to get one piece in your mouth. The Titanic Roll was just as impressive. It came loaded with tamago and finished with a generous layer of cream cheese that brought everything together. These rolls were a little more challenging to pick up, so if your chopstick skills are questionable, ask for a fork. We wrapped things up with the mango mochi ice cream. They offered to top it with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, and naturally I said yes. The mango flavor really shines without being overpowering, and the mochi had that perfect soft, chewy texture instead of the thick, gummy consistency that some places serve. From the quality of the food to the generous portions, this place knocked it out of the park. If you're in Vacaville and craving sushi or ramen, Yo Sushi & Ramen is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back.

The alligator meat was soft and not chewy or dry and "tastes like chicken." You literally cannot tell the difference by look and taste. Texturally, the meat has a slightly more chew to it than chicken, but other than that 99%+ people would not know the difference. Other dishes we had were: Pad See You (beef), Mango Curry, Tom Kha Soup, Eggplant S'il Vous Plait and Papaya Salad. Everything was delicious! Service: Great! Waitress was very attentive and came by multiple times to check on us and refill our water without asking. She also came by when it was the last call before the kitchen closed to see if we wanted to order other dishes or desserts. The prices have gone up some from their old menu, but the portions have also gotten bigger. Their new menu items are great and I look forward to trying out more of their new items as well as the old, traditional items.

Veggies were cabbage, onion, broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, sprouts, spinach, kale, peppers, and a few others. Meat was beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. I tried the beef and lamb with my two servings, preference was the beef. Ambiance is good - somewhat busy and they're cooking food nearly non stop. With regard to atmosphere, they have maintained the environment they created when they transformed the old buffet into this more traditional Korean BBQ full service restaurant. When it comes to Bonchon, the kimchi this visit was delicious! We still had to request japchae, but at least this visit we had an idea we might have to do that. With regard to menu items, the Korean fried chicken is still really good, as are the spicy marinated meats, and the various shrimp options. The thin sliced ribeye, is still not my favorite. I placed a takeout order for 2 items at 753pm according to my receipt and it took 4min short of an hour before the food was received. At 30 min after ordering the hostess checked with kitchen on where my order was she comes back and says they never saw my order so had never started it. 15min later she comes back that the kitchen is now slammed. Like i placed my order over half an hour ago shouldn't it be prioritized? This just felt like such an insult to injury bc initially i wanted to call in and pick up and no one ever picked up the phone. On top of that not even 5-10min of placing my order the hostess came up to me dropped off the extra pickled radish i ordered and was like "oh that's complimentary bc we typically charge"... then you should have charged me when i ordered? I honestly should have asked to speak with a manager and thats on me but i figured the hostess would try to offer something or speak w/ a manager. It didn't happen and I'm not one to micromanage but if you are ordering takeout please be sure to follow-up w your orders so your time is not being wasted. The experience left such a bad taste in my mouth i dont even want to eat now. Update just checked food and we ordered beef belly which is an extra charge and received pork. Pretty sure thats white meat.

The place serves authentic Thai dishes and it is best to share family style if you come with several people so that you can experience more dishes. Started with a Sake "Mohito". It was very good. Mild flavor and not crazy strong. I nursed it throughout my entire meal. The Fresh Spring Rolls were as the name advertised. Vegetarian with tofu inside. Interesting thing is that it was served with two sauces, but the traditional peanut sauce but also a Thai Sweet Chili sauce. I decided to combine both sauces onto my Spring Rolls. Surprisingly, the two sauces complemented each other pretty well. The Yellow Curry was smooth and thick (not watery like some places). Rich is flavor. I can probably just eat some plain rice with just the curry sauce and I would be happy. It's that good. The Crispy Chicken with Ginger Rice was a crowd favorite as well. The chicken itself was solid but pretty standard. The ginger rice added a unique flavor to the dish. I've never had ginger rice at a restaurant before. We also had a stir fry dish that was composed of asparagus and a protein of your choice. We chose chicken. It was also solid but not as unique as the other two entrees we had. Still same cute modern interior. It was VERY busy on a Saturday evening so service may be a bit slower. But the food was great and staff was very friendly.

Their noodle and rice plate prices are on par with others but their appetizer prices are just insane now. It's like $15 for an order of wings. Granted they are huge, but jeeze. $12 for spring rolls? No way. This is a chain, so they have all your basics. They're fast, the portions are big, and don't get me wrong, the food is good. It gets the job done but there are just a few things about this location that I don't really like. When we first walked in, the smell was bad... almost like chemicals and poop? I don't know. That was a turn off but we were hungry, and waiting on our car to be serviced. Secondly, their water tastes hella nasty. They put lime or lemon in it, but it doesn't mask anything. Probably just adds to the grossness, so bring your own or buy a drink. The pros though - they have Bun Bo Hue now. I like the Viet meat loaf they put in there, and the flavor of the soup is passable. We like a stronger, more aromatic and shrimpy broth, but this one is on the weaker end. It's also not spicy, but you can just add condiments off the table so it's ok. It does come with blood cubes, and good portion of meat and noodles. Some Vietnamese coriander or banana blossoms would be nice additions to the veggie plate, but I don't expect Vacaville to offer those herbs anyways lol I got a Combo rice plate and it was FAT. Even the eggrolls are thiccc which I appreciate. My pork chop had good flavor and the wings were fried crispy. Served a side of nuoc mam and chicken broth, this is honestly two meals but I'm fat and ate it all lol I will say, this chain is consistent AF. Any location you go to, delivers on flavor. They're quick to take your order, and quick to bring it out. They open earlier than all the other Asian spots in the area too, around 9:30 AM, which is great for people like us who want Asian food for breakfast. They're in the same plaza as County Market so you can walk or drive over and get your groceries right after. The parking lot is huge, so you will never have to fight for parking. Cash, CC, AP all welcome.
