Literally THEE best sushi restaurant in Solano County, hands down. I've been going to this family owned business since high school. The owner really knows his craft and you can just taste it. The service is always top notch and I love the interior. My go to order is the Omega 3 (one of the best items but no longer on the menu as no one ordered it), baked mussels, and Treble Forte! The shrimp tempura was the highlight. Lightly battered shrimp fried to a crisp. I also appreciated the side salad. I ordered a bento box with tempura and hamachi nigiri. The presentation was totally unappealing. While the tempura was good, the gyoza seemed store bought and frozen. The hamachi was sliced super thin (any thinner and you could see through it), additionally it was warm. Yuck! We also ordered the rainbow roll, but it never came. Sorta glad that the server failed to put it in, given the state of the hamachi nigiri. My companion ordered the salmon teriyaki which was incredibly dry. Salmon with all its oil is a forgiving fish --- hard to mess up. But they managed to do that. Lastly, I purchased Sapporo, poured it in glass that I later realized had a chip. Sushi rice was mushy and overcooked, but the tobiko has enough pop to provide a bit of contrasting texture to save it. Hubby ordered the bulgolgi bowl; it was horribly bland. No sauce??? Weird. It needs something--a bibimbap sauce, katsu sauce, something. That was a huge miss. I appreciated the large menu for kids bentos. I especially loved that they did more than the typical meat and rice combo. There was an inclusion of edamame which finally provided a healthy veggie side for a kids meal with was awesome. Just moved to Dixon and this is THE sushi spot we have been going to. Four out of Five stars because of the smell the restaurant has is kind of like hibachi and lingers on your clothes. Also, there are no refills for sodas because they only serve soda cans. Pepper Fin is amazing and flavorful - just don't get it if you don't like fishy tastes. Samurai roll was also yummy, especially with the garlic mayo. Bento box has chicken Katsu and shrimp tempura. Both were tender and crispy! I didn't eat here today. Went in they were empty the girl let me sit wherever. No menus were brought to me because I guess you just scan with your phone but she didn't say that. Sat for few minutes no water was brought out to me. Then I went to the bathroom to change my daughter's diaper to find they have no changing table. I asked the lady she said people just change their kids on the wooden table I didn't feel comfortable putting her on that. Then she said I could just change the baby on one of the chairs in the dining room which was pretty wild. I drive literally 30 miles to get this sushi. There are approximately 9-10 places where I can get sushi near me and they don't even compare. It may be a mom and pop place but I enjoy that even more. The Jalapeño Poppers were just the right amount of spicy with sauces that brought out the flavor. The potstickers were nice and crisp, and softened up with soy sauce. The rolls are always delicious, packed with a lot of flavor and never that bad fishy smell or taste. Amazing work as always! Inside is very well laid out and a little darker creating a nice comfortable atmosphere. First time at this place. It's definitely a hole in the wall in a good way. From the outside it looks like a tiny shop but once you enter there is plenty of space and friendly staff. We started off with the house salad and stuffed jalapeños which were delicious and appetizing. Then we ordered the Lion King roll and Lucky 7 roll with a Large Kirin Beer. The lion king is 10/10. You want to support local businesses but, especially one of the only Japanese restaurants in the area without going to Davis but they make it hard. As other reviewers have said the service here is extremely slow. As I told my wife what doesn't make sense is you can order pickup online and it's ready in 25min but if you sit in to eat get ready to wait an hour for your food. Hour + in, no straws (asked twice), no plates and no food. Food is solid not going to blow your mind but if you're in area and craving sushi it gets the job done. If you're in a hurry, go elsewhere. You're better off driving 10 min to mikunis in Davis and eating sushi. Better sushi and you will be done quicker. read more

Food: Very flavorful and a ton of different sushi options. They have bento boxes, poke bowls, Sashimi platters, appetizers and different roll options (baked, veggie, fried and raw.) We ordered pot stickers, seared Tuna & 3 rolls - Snow White, Titanic & Yuki Customer Service: Needs a lot of work. I had to get up and ask for plates once our food arrived....and napkins......and water. It wasn't busy when we were there so I can only imagine when it is. Don't get me wrong the Staff is really friendly they just need to more training. Location: Is horrible. It looks like an abandoned building....their business name is white on the window, which makes it hard to see. There's two doors it you can only enter through one.
