Chicken, Basa fish, jumps prawns, French fries, bread. Yum

I ordered through the app. That was nice and easy. When we arrived, it was easy to go inside and pick up my order. I ordered the Jumbo Fried Shrimp with a side of cheesy grits. I dropped the order off for a friend. She offered a taste of each. Oh my! The grits were creamy, cheesy and buttery goodness! The shrimp was crunchy and well seasoned. I had a party in my mouth with such deliciousness! Sharky's does it again. I will return again soon to get my own :) Thank you!

Giving a 4 star but some areas 5 - Service was order at counter, they brought food to us (we dined in) and was an easy experience. Ambiance is of a fast food style spot, seating about 5 tables similar to a cafe. They do have what look like homemade baked goods, which I did not try but they did look reallly good. Food - chicken flavor was not my favorite, it was good but not great. I swapped some chicken with my friend who ordered the cod fish and chips and that fish was amazing. The batter was spicy and light and delicious, wish the same flavor was on the chicken. Fries were decent, I got garlic fries and the cost to upgrade was a bit more than I thought it would be, but reasonable. They were a good flavor but the garlic sauce caused the fries not to be as crunchy/crisp as they could be. Portion size is good, very filling food. Only ate 1 fish, and 2 pieces of chicken (all my fries) and was full. Drink selection ok, but I'm an unsweetened ice tea guy and they didn't have any today (also hoped they'd have a special ice tea based on their menu but they didn't). Service and ambiance a 4 star, food was 4-5, definitely recommend the fish.

Chicken Po Boy, Calamari and Whiting Fish Fillets

I had been following Sharky's on instagram for a while and finally got to try it. Sharky's did not disappoint. Everything was perfectly crispy, but super moist. The chicken in the po boy was so delicious and all the sauces that they put combined so well with the chicken and other ingredients that they put inside. The calamari was perfectly cooked along with the whiting fish fillets. The decoration in the restaurant was super fun and the staff have been friendly each time. The food comes out pretty fast considering they are doing everything from scratch. Oooh and the fries are bomb too!! You definitely have got to try Sharky's out if you have a fish fry craving.

The staff were nice and the order came out fast! Sal remedied a small problem in a big way. I dined on combination snapper and prawns with red beans and rice. The most flavorful item was the prawns but they were practically burned. The beans and rice weren't bad I just prefer more rice than beans. The fish was fried perfectly! Unfortunately it had no flavor. I added vinegar, hot sauce, and tarter sauce to no avail. The tarter sauce didn't have much flavor either. There was plenty of food though. Seasoning the fish more and frying the prawns less would make me give them another try. The location is in a strip mall with plenty of parking.

My friend recommended this place. He swore by it lol but I'll definitely recommend for the garlic noodles loved the texture and taste. I had the shrimp plate and sub fries for fried okra it was ok. But friendly service , free water , big sitting area.. cool environment!

Garlic fries and Mac and cheese bites
    Sandra P.

The trio po boy has been the best thing to order, it is amazing!!! The Mac and cheese bites were great too and the garlic fries are full of flavor. The shrimp scampi was alright it was a little too much I don't think I'd order that again but everything else yes!!! Go order yourself that trio po boy. It's very calm inside but we like to order pick up but the restaurant is very clean.

Or over fried chicken to the point that the moisture is gone. You are chewing......

Chicken was either raw or over fried. For the fact of ordering and spending $120 on this for the fam. It's a real disappointment.

Supposedly Whiting fish that appears thick like catfish! Definitely not traditional Whiting Fish
    Kimberly C.

Hate to do this but I have to be 100! Ordered the Whiting and it was thicker than catfish and did not have the normal flavor of whiting? Ordered the Okra and it was on hit as it's crispy and not greasy! Wish the owner was here as he would have corrected the fish and made it right! Sodas were $4 each??? Went next door and spent $1.04 each. Days eating out is limited. Very disappointed in the fish today!

Spicy Honey and Louisiana Hot Wings with a side of Mac n Cheese

Was greeted right away when walking in. Clean spacious place with ample seating. Lots of regulars coming in and out. Food made to order and they tell you approx time for your food to be cooked and ready. Chicken wings were moist and tasty. The Louisiana Hot and Spicy Honey weren't really that spicy for me. Great food

Honestly, foods don't taste bad. Maybe wrong time/Valentine's Day . It's the quality for me. Hopefully my pictures match my review. Shrimp batter not as crispy as I prefer. Snapper dry. I get it the fine cornmeal batter isn't my favorite... so I don't get that crunchy bite. Tater sauce looks like thousand Island dressing but tastes pretty good actually. Lots to choose from on the menu but fish, shrimp and coleslaw is my go to. I'll try when I think it's the fresh catch of snapper for the day.

Red Snapper (comes with fries and white bread slice), Hush Puppies, & Catfish Po Boy

This was a good lunch with filling portions--3.5 rating. We decided to try this place out for a pitstop lunch. The restaurant was clean with sea-themed decor & a big ocean mural. There was also a tv playing The Amazing World of Gumball. We ordered at the counter, but had some questions. While the man who we placed our order with tried to be helpful, he had to ask the other worker there for answers. We seated ourselves. It's a spacious place & there were no other diners there. Still, it took a long time to get our food--around 25 minutes. Once it came out, the food looked good & well put together. The 3-piece order of Red Snapper came with fries & a piece of white bread. It was ok, but it was thin & had some dry, overcooked bites. The Catfish Po'boy was huge! The fish itself was thick & moist, the vegetation (lettuce, tomatoes, & pickles) was fresh, & the bread was substantial, but soft. The sauces on the fish added a lot of flavor. Hush Puppies were tasty & had good texture, but were salty. Cold squeeze bottles of Tartar Sauce with lots of pickle & very tasty Ranch were provided. Malt vinegar & Crystal hot sauce were on the table. The staffer checked in on us & told us to let him know if we needed anything else.

On Friday around 5:30pm we were able to find parking out front on the street. You go in a side entrance which has a few outdoor tables and when you walk in, if you go right there is a bar area and left is the restaurant area. Looks like a place that families and older couples like to eat. We got there a little early so asked for a table for four. We were seated in about 5 minutes and while waiting for our friends ordered a drink. They offer beer, wine and cocktails. They have a large menu and have specials also. I ordered the Pear Collins and hubby had a beer. Once our friends arrived our waitress took our orders. We started with the Tequila Grilled Prawns and the World Famous Calamari. I ordered the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad and hubby had the Chicken Asiago Fettuccine. Our friend ordered the Pork Chop. The pork chop was huge and she said it was delicious. Hubby liked the pasta but although there was plenty of salad and beets, there was just a big glob of sour cream on top. Service was good and our waitress was very friendly and took good care of us.

I told them that I don't think our friends would want to come back and declined the offer but I wanted to be clear that my issue is based on the service. Told her I was a former waitress and food reviewer, I received no response back. Dear Merchant Team, I wanted to share my experience from my visit this past Saturday with a party of four. It was our first time dining at Merchant, and while we enjoyed the brunch overall, I was disappointed with the portion size of the chicken fried steak. It was surprisingly small--about the size of my cell phone--which was not what we expected based on our previous experiences at other establishments. Additionally, the service during our visit was below expectations. It took approximately 30 minutes for our server to initially take our order, and we were not offered a full range of beverage options beyond champagne and cider. After informing the server that I do not drink alcohol and have an allergy to cider, there was no follow-up or alternative suggestion provided. We chose Merchant based on the fantastic reviews we read, so this experience was quite disappointing for us. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

The setup was pretty interesting with tables on the side and a conveyor belt with the center where the chefs are working and seating lined around that. The staff were kind and helpful in explaining how it all worked being that it was all you can eat. First, there is a menu where you can place orders with the staff for things like appetizers and drinks. We got some sodas and ordered items such as edamame, miso soup and grilled salmon teriyaki. Then in the center where the conveyor belt is, you can walk around to it and pick up plates that you want to try. It mostly seemed like nigiri and rolls that they were commonly making. In the center, the chef station is between the conveyor belt area and there you can order more specific items you want to try like a roll, sashimi or handrolls. We chose to order some different sashimi like salmon and yellowtail and handrolls like the spider and alaska. They also make a bunch of extra dishes that you can take off the shelf as well. For the price and the experience, we thought it was very enjoyable from the multitude of options to the freshness of the items.

She's seriously the sweetest, and on top of everything from bringing the food out, refilling our drinks, checking if we needed anything without being super overbearing. It seemed like she was training some of the other servers too, so if that's the case, they're in good hands. Ika Geso - Their fried calamari has been consistently good between each of the sister restaurants. The batter is light and crispy, the squid is very tender. It's a must order for us, every time! We looove the spicy mayo it comes with for dipping. Chicken Karaage - This was good! I didn't like it much when I ordered it at Tottos, but I feel like it tasted better here and the portion was much larger. Served with kewpie and a sweet sauce, this is a good snacky item, or just something to switch off with if you're eating sushi. This isn't popcorn chicken batter by any means, but the batter wasn't too heavy and the chicken was juicy! I think the karaage would be even better with the spicy mayo, so ask for that if you would prefer a less sweet dipping sauce. Sacramento Roll - I originally was going to try the Mafia but Geraldine highly recommended the Sac roll. Similar elements but the Mafia has scallops. I went with her suggestion and it was delicious. Better than my second choice! Will definitely go back and try the Mafia next time, since it's almost the same flavor profile. Red Boy Roll - This was good but not great. It has a garlicky white sauce that isn't for me. I love garlic but I don't think I like a strong garlic flavor overpowering the rest of the flavors on my roll. It wasn't a bad roll by any means, and the rice to fish ratio was good. I just didn't love it, but if you love garlicky fish, this one might be your speed. Both rolls had spicy tuna, which usually isn't spicy for me, but I think one of the rolls may have been spicier than the other. Just FYI, from a spicy eating girl, there def was a kick that came from somewhere. Black garlic ramen - I normally love this dish at Tottos, so I recommended it to my BF to order. It ended up not being so great. The ramen broth wasn't as hot as we would like and the flavor tasted a bit off. Normally the garlic flavor is strong and the broth full bodied but the broth here didn't have the normal richness we would have liked. It was okay.. but wouldn't get this again here. Everyone is on the Wasabi hype right now, but for a less busy option, I would hit up FOF. The specialty rolls do differ between each restaurant though, so just keep that in mind. Parking lot is small but it's a low traffic area off Hwy 12, so you're not going to have an issue with parking. You can order by tablets on the table or with the waitress with real menus. Apple Pay, CC and cash all accepted!

We were seated immediately, which I always appreciate. The space is pretty big with a modern feel, and there's plenty of parking out front (no circling the lot like a hawk -- love that). Even though they gave us the lunch menu, we went à la carte. Ordered: tandoori chicken, butter chicken, coconut shrimp, butter naan, and rice -- all medium spice where applicable. The tandoori chicken was tender and well seasoned -- no dry chicken nonsense here. The butter chicken was exactly what you want it to be: rich, creamy, tomato-forward, and comforting. But the one that caught me off guard a bit was the coconut shrimp -- creamy, slightly sweet, and a little more mild than "medium" heat, probably because of the coconut milk, but still really good. And listen... the butter naan? Fresh, warm, and absolutely necessary. Both the butter chicken and coconut shrimp were made for dipping. No shame in wiping those plates clean. Service was great. Staff was kind, checked in on us without hovering, and kept our water filled without us needing to flag anyone down. Overall -- easy, enjoyable lunch. Good food, good service, no complaints. I'd definitely come back.
