Old Huants and New Cheers: An Authentic Dive with Heart in Vacaville!…read more I don't get to Vacaville very often, but when I do, I always enjoy stopping by TJ's Tavern. Stepping into TJ's Tavern feels like catching up with an old friend after years apart--familiar, comforting, and just the right amount of nostalgia. The drinks are straightforward and hit the spot, served up by solid bartenders. The music is often a mix of classics and some new surprises, which is just right. What makes TJ's truly stand out is the undeniable spirit in the place. There's a sense of resilience and growth here, like watching something meaningful continue to hold its own. On my most recent visit, I was happy to see how this place is not just holding its own but thriving. If you're passing through Vacaville and crave a spot with character, history, and a whole lot of heart, TJ's Tavern is well worth the visit. Here's to good times past, present, and those still to come. Cheers

Lots of smiles and helpful, considering this was our first time there. My wife loves ciders, and they had several on tap, and they let her try some, and man, were they good. She finally chose one, and I had a light Ale, which, of course, they had lots of on tap. Fantastic selection. The food was over the top and very good and fresh. My wife got the steak nachos, and we shared a mac & cheese balls with pulled pork appetizer. I had the Chicken Caesar salad. Very yummy. The place was clean (so were the bathrooms), lots and lots of tv's and really just a great place to go. We will definitely go back, according to my wife and I.

It was just our party in the venue during that time, a combination of kids and adults. There were plenty of tables for all of the snacks we brought, including pizza, spam musubi, and cookies. My bf and I purchased drinks from the bar while there. The staff was helpful and friendly to our group the entire time. They even explained how to use the simulators, as there were lots of buttons on the floor and a variety of options for play. This included match stroke, driving range, putt putt, box crush, island hop, mushroom bump, foursome, scramble, and more. The kids had a blast playing pretty much everything, while the adults engaged in a variety of simulated golf matches and driving range. The staff guided the adults through some of the features like replay in slow-mo... guests can even connect on golfjoy.com. Also, loved the automatic golf tee that rises from the ground with the ball ready to hit. The arcade in the back offered plenty of pinball fun too, mainly newer machines. We enjoyed our time here and appreciated them accommodating our large and crazy party.

She was super friendly and I told her we were waiting for Kevin for a golf lesson but I'm way early and he wasn't there yet so I took a look around going from front to back and I must say, it's bigger than it looks. It seemed like a very relaxed atmosphere. I love all the golf reference movies and shows on the wall....so retro. They have a small rec room in the back with arcade and pinball games as well as the simulators up front. They had pretty interesting stuff going on such as golf lessons as I mentioned earlier and I saw fliers for a pinball tournament. Kev got there early too and took my son right away. They do have clubs to use should u need for the lesson. Kev started with his stance and worked his way to holding the his club the right way. It was only a 30 minute lesson but might do a whole hour next time. After his lesson was done, well, my husband was late picking us up but as we were waiting the bartender asked if we wanted water. I thought that was nice of her. I'm not sure about food as I didn't order any but will definitely be back. Thanks Fore Play.

Stepping inside feels like a journey back to the days my grandfather vividly recounted. As the lyrics perfectly encapsulate, it's "out in the country past the city limits sign," where this honky-tonk near the county line comes alive. The atmosphere ignites as the sun dips, welcoming a vibrant mix of whiskey, women, music, and that characteristic haze of smoke. It's the hub where cowboy folk gather for the boot-scootin' boogie, preserving the essence of a bygone era. Judy's is where hardworking souls, just like myself, find solace after a day's toil. When the clock strikes quitting time, there's an unspoken pull to this haven. The lyrics resonate--firing up the pickup truck, feeling the freedom on that highway, racing toward that hideaway nestled among the woods.
