Take all my stars away for the food because it was A-plus without a doubt, with everything that I…read morehave tasted as out of this world, totally reminding me of home in so many ways. The taste was flavorful. The portion size was generous. The price was reasonable. The hole-in-the-wall vibe was wholesome. And the fact that they straight up started talking to me in Mandarin was like... yeah y'all are totally authentic. I don't really have stuff to say about the individual dishes because everything that I have attached to this review is a hit, and for anyone coming through, it will pretty much just be a choice of preference on the meat included in the noodles. Whichever type of meat one likes will be the noodles that one should end up going with. I chose the beef flank one, and there was just a lot of tender beef flank included in my broth and I was happily eating everything and drinking the broth ferociously. You just can't go wrong with whichever you choose. This would definitely be a place that I would recommend anyone around the area! 10 out of 10 without a doubt.

It took a while to get our order taken correctly, but in the end our group of five left happy after eating delicious noodle bowls.

Came here a few times mostly for takeaway but also dined in once. For dining in we arrive at 12 pm…read moresharp on a Thursday right when they opened. The tiny space was not crowded at that time, and our order came quickly and efficiently. It's a nearly self service kind of place because you place orders by checking off a sheet (that sheet is the menu). Xiaolong bao (with soup inside) was wonderful and delicate; beef noodle very good. I also got their wonton noodle before as take out. Love their salt and pepper shrimp, too. A highlight of our dining in experience was the salt and pepper tofu. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They have an open kitchen so you can see the chefs at work. The whole place was run fairly efficiently though they take only cash. A slight inconvenience since all other restaurants in Oxford take credit cards (even those eateries in nearby Covered Market.

It's a tiny place with tiny table in a very cozy atmosphere. There's almost no table service. You walk in, seat yourself, and fill out what you want from the paper menu, then hand it back to the kitchen. Your order then comes out. When it's time to pay, you get up and ask how much your total is (unless you're smart enough to have tallied it up while you were ordering). I wasn't impressed with the dim sum. It's not bad, but I suspect it's just frozen fare from the freezer aisle. The wonton noodles were improperly cooked, just not snappy/bouncy enough. However, the wontons that came with the noodles were perfect. I'm planning to come back and try some of the other soup noodle dishes next time and anticipating less disappointment.

Their Shahi Chicken Jeera Massala is fabulous. The premises are decorated in the 'curry house style' without being kitschy and the Indian muzak played is not too loud - actually I've become quite fond of it! Thanks to the division of the place into three separate areas it is possible to accommodate couples as well as larger parties without the one disturbing the other. The customer service is second to none (hot towels and complimentary chocolates) and the staff are very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It does however get very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, so there may well be quite a wait in between courses. On these nights I recommend visiting after 8.30pm. The menu offers a great selection of traditional dishes for both starters and main courses, as well as a selection of specials - I can heartily recommend the tandoori mixed grill (served with a naan bead), the garlic lamb and the chicken chana. The vegetable side dishes, rices and breads are all of exceptional quality. Everything is served in very generous portions. Don't leave room for dessert, it's not worth it. There is bottled and draught beer available as well as wine and softdrinks. The full menu is available to take away for which there is a 10% discount and only a half hour wait from order to collection.
