We thought we would beat the rush by rolling up at 4:30 but the line was already in place. We waited about 45 minutes for a table and another 45 minutes for the food but overall the experience was good. Huge winners were the XLB and the noodles with ground pork. The dumplings were well made and filled with tasty broth. The noodles were chewy with rich and flavorful sauce. The fried dumplings were also a hit and with the small up charge for the crispy crust. The vegetarian options were less of a hit with the dumplings a bit starchy and bland. The noodles had nice fresh veg and their perfect noodles but once again came in a little bland. Service was friendly and the atmosphere is like eating in a friends kitchen who also happens to be a Michelin star chef. Prices are reasonable and quantity is robust. I would definitely put this on your list when visiting Cambridge but maybe leave the vegetarians at home. read more

It exceeded our expectations with elegant and authentic Chines food, not the European or Americanized Chinese food. I have been traveling all over China and ate 5-star and local food. I can sure that the chef of Noodle Plus came from a Chinese 5-star restaurant experience with the how the food is prepared, especially the beef tendon! The place is really small and packed when we walked in. Price is pretty reasonable n affordable. The efficiency a bit low I suppose the reason's only two ppl doing all the jobs: cleaning, taking order, making dishes and cashiering. Not saying the service is bad, in fact they're really nice person but I'll strongly reckon they get a helper and speed up About the food, well not bad in terms of the price. But prob as I have too higher expectations through reviews, I don't really see them as delicious. Wonton pastry is too thick, soup base is bad; sliced beef and ox tongue in chili sauce taste really weird. But the pork bun is quiet good, worthy for try. read more

This place serves excellent Xiaolongbao dumplings which are almost on par with the dumplings served in Shanghai. I ate here at least once a month while studying in Cambridge. The restaurant is very small, but prices are reasonable and the owner is very kind. Highly recommended! read more

The xialongbao is legit at this place. It's located a bit off the touristy town center, on Mill road. Wasn't big fan of pork noodles. Will try next time their hand pulled noodle soup. Price is affordable. A basket of freshly steamed dumplings were around 6.50£ read more

I got the Noodle soup with braised pork to go and wow it was delicious! The meat was tender and flavorful and the broth so tasty. Even with the ten minute walk home it was still warm and hit the spot. Definitely will be coming here again. Noodles and dumplings that's all they've got but they are GIFTED. Inexpensive and no credit cards, this is a hole in the wall sort of place that looks ordinary including fluorescent lights and Formica tables and steamy front window BUT superb and authentic Chinese noodles and dumplings.
