Food: 3.5/5
Service: 1/5
Food was fine, authentic enough by Chinese standards.
Service was awful. Sure, (authentic) Chinese places tend to have not-so-great service (with exceptions), but this place really takes the cake for bad service.
We had a lot of trouble trying to find a waiter or waitress, and they weren't very attentive / easy to grab a hold of.
They charge per person for the tea here (you don't pay per pot, but rather per cup). My friend wanted to change a cup because it was dirty and had tea stains. The rest of us wanted tap water, and we asked accordingly. We got a waitress to change the tea cup, and when she took the dirty cup / was getting a new cup for my friend, the owner/manager came over and started yelling at us about how the tea is only per person and cannot be shared, etc. I guess he thought we were going to try to use our water cups and pour tea into them, or something like that.
We were all taken aback - we didn't want to try to get some free tea, we just wanted water and a clean cup for my friend. We have no idea why the owner guy came over and started yelling at us, but it was rather embarrassing, too.
I wouldn't go back to eat there. The food was fine, but not good enough to outweigh the terrible service. read more
