There was probably a tiny sprinkle of chorizo inside the waffles, so you couldn't taste it at all. It was basically a plain waffle with pico on top. Ordered the egg over easy, it was cooked good. Benny 8/10 Decent Benny. The egg was poached well, the ham I thought was pretty good, the waffle was good, and the crab just added that little extra uniqueness.. although the crab was cold. The Hollandaise was decent also, seemed homemade and an ok flavor. I asked for extra, but they put a lot on so I didn't really need it. The green onion garnish was nice, but a little difficult to chew the whole piece. Chopping these up would have been much better. The whole thing in general did need a little salt to bring out the flavors a little more, but overall a pretty good bite.

But I think the very best part of the meal were the breakfast potatoes served with it. They were crispy without being greasy, just enough salt, and the vegetables mixed in were perfectly seasoned. I loved loved loved the potatoes. The waffle itself was pretty good; I got 1/2 since I knew the main dish would fill me up. The strawberries were fresh, and they accidentally mixed in blueberries in mine (which I'm glad they did). Obviously, they have specialty waffles and more decadent offerings (think syrups, cream cheese, etc). Check them out next time you're downtown; this splurge is worth it.

Even though the line was relentless, the staff was friendly and efficient so all proceeded smoothly.  As the weather starts to get colder, I can see us returning more and more to try other waffle combinations.  Street parking is available out front.

The menu lists waffles in several flavors: plain Liege; Antwerp with ice cream and chocolate sauce; Bruges with strawberries and whipped cream; Namur with bananas and Nutella; Charleroi with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella; Ghent with bananas and Speculoos cookie butter; and Waffallonia with an unlimited number of custom toppings. Toppings include whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, Nutella, Speculoos, Belgian chocolate, caramel, dark chocolate shell, and the business's small-batch flavors of ice creams. During my recent visit, an employee promptly and politely served me. I ordered one Ghent waffle for $6.31 plus tax and tip. The employee made the waffle fresh in a reasonable time. Some indoor tables and chairs were available, so I sat down to eat. My Ghent waffle was nicely chewy and was topped with delicious Speculoos/Biscoff shortbread spread and slices of bananas. I rate it as 5 stars. Waffallonia's website says that 100% of their electricity is supplied from renewable sources and that they use compostable plates and recycled materials--other reasons to like them!

This location has an updated interior which is well maintained. We were sat by the door which was quieter than the main dining area but we were hit with a blast of cold air as the door opened and closed. Service was prompt and I liked seeing how the staff all worked together to help out. That's a good sign right there! Unlike the other location, they didn't have country potatoes but they did have real butter on the table. The food was great and we were all stuffed when we left. Traditional breakfast fare and a great way to start the morning.

I haven't been attracted to burgers in a while but this one sounded good...maybe it was more the name. I ordered the small one with a side of waffle fries. The burger itself has white and yellow American Cheese, onion rings and bacon. I added pickles, mayo and Bbq sauce. The patty is thick but doesn't seem like they season it at all. The bun is super fresh and the smaller burger was a good choice. The waffle fries are probably the best I've ever had, fresh out of the fryer, cooked right and properly seasoned without being overly salty. Most people would probably really enjoy the burger but because I felt like it was lacking flavor, next time I'll order something else. My husband ordered a BLT with hash browns as a side and he really enjoyed both of them. Service is friendly and as attentive as we wanted it to be. Being a Sunday late morning and also Father's Day, we waited probably 25-30 min to be seated. Waiting it outside on the covered porch...we checked in and they gave us a pager so we sat in the car u til our seating time was called. Next time, I'm ordering breakfast and I'm looking forward to that.
