Came in for waffles and got blessed with a free pizza! The staff are super kind and the food was fantastic. Probably the best waffle I've ever had and the pizza was right up there with it.

This was a great experience! Burger with a waffle for the bun.

There were plenty of tables outside overlooking the wharf. Despite our lateness, my fish sandwich was shockingly good. The tater tots were still crispy and nicely seasoned as well.

I went on a Monday before noon so it wasn't really busy. I will say the space is really open and modern which I liked and it's located within the Waterfront. My friend and I ordered a few dishes to share: Biscuits, Shrimp and Grits, and the Berry French Toast. Only one biscuit was soft and fluffy. The other was pretty dry and hard so we didn't finish it. The honey butter (I believe) was light and did compliment the biscuit very well. I just wished we could've enjoyed the same consistency across the two biscuits we ordered. The shrimp and grits was a solid portion. They didn't skimp on the jumbo shrimp or the sausage and this is definitely a dish you can share. I thought it was a little too salty for my taste but again, the meat in this dish was seasoned well. They used challah bread for their french toast which made it nice and dough-y. I thought this was the best dish that we ordered and again, can definitely be shared between two people. It's sweet on it's own, so if you don't have that extra sweet tooth, you won't need to add the syrup. I'd like to try this place again the next time I'm in town and maybe try out their mimosas and other entrees.

The waffle part was just ok. I might have liked it more on a regular bun. I saw a few people order milkshakes that looked really tasty so maybe that's the way to go. Especially on a hot day. I would also try a sweet waffle.

There have been a handful of Waffle trucks to hit DC, but this is the first that I deem worthy of a…read morereturn trip. Keeping it short, waffles aren't rocket science, but most others cut corners and serve up cheap, reheated frozen waffles - and not even good ones. In contrast, this truck does it right. They serve up freshly made belgian-style waffles that have the slight crunch on the outside and soft and smooth texture inside. Taking a page from the crepe trucks, these guys offer up both Sweet and Savory waffle dishes. Sandwiches and platters on the savory side, and hot, sweet waffles piled with sweetness on the dessert side. I had a Croque Monsieur (Ham & Cheese) sandwich and a Caramel Waffle. Both complimented each other well as the sandwich was just salty enough and the caramel waffle was just sweet enough...not too sweet. They have so many options to choose from, it will take a while to get through the menu...but I will try! I will definitely be back for more. These guys know what they doing and care about offering quality food. If they could add a traditional chicken & waffle to their menu (they offer a couple of variants), that would be icing on the cake...or, in this case, syrup on the waffle!
