Hi honestly I do not know but I'm sure if you call the restaurant and ask them to ask the cook; they probably will have no problem answering that question.

Karen's kitchen is a spot that I had heard of for sometime now. My brother and I took a trip to…read moreQuarts Hill area to experience the food. The diner style interior is very well lite, clean but a bit smaller than I anticipated, they do have a good sized outdoor seating area and an ample parking lot in the back side of the building. The food, we ordered a Reuben Sandwich and a Cheeseburger. From what we had seen, the food looked great. The burger had lettuce, tomato, union, cheese, that oddly was not melted, a nice sauce, pickles and decent looking meat patty, unfortunately the last few bites of the meat patty had a funky taste, like it was a little old, hence the 3 star rating, the burger is also served with a decent amount of fries. The Reuben looked and tasted amazing, also served with a large portion of fries, one of the nice touches on this sandwich was the grilled Pastrami, this was a nice touch, its also served with sauerkraut & Swiss cheese on Rye. I do want to return to try the amazing looking breakfast options, they seem to have a huge variety of options. I also want to commend the wait stay, they were very nice and engaging, they came around multiple times to ensure that we had what we needed.

Good food. When I had coworkers visiting the area a while back asking for food recommendations, Karen's kitchen is the one place I told them is probably worth getting breakfast at

An update to previous review. If you are hungry this is definitely the place to go. Visited here…read morejust over a year ago but because of the distance it hasn't become a "go to" place. I wish it was closer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would ding them half a point for not having air conditioning. They have an electric fan as well as overhead fans. My son ordered the 3 egg polish sausage meal with hash browns, and a biscuits for $11.99 and added gravy to the biscuit for $1. He rated everything 5 stars. My husband ordered the patty melt with French fries for $11.99. The fries were hot and crispy. He gave 4 stars because he said the patty melt had too much cheese. (Is that possible?). I to ordered side dishes to try out different things. I ordered 1 pancake for $2.50, a side of hash browns for $5.49, and a side of 2 biscuits and gravy for $5.49. The pancake was large and was fantastic. The biscuits and gravy were humongous and a full meal by themselves. The biscuits, before being sliced, were about 4 inches high, light and fluffy, and delicious. They were covered with a good amount of gravy. I was only able to eat one half of one and brought the remaining 3 halves home. The gravy is not one full of sausage or bacon but it is tasty. The dining room has plenty of seating. There are specials and discounts on the walls in addition to their large menu.

I don't know how this place gets 5 star ratings! It is mediocre at best. The eggs were supposed to be over easy but one was over hard. Not impressed.

She did have this little hiccup with a lady that came in the restaurant already very noticeably upset and with a very nasty attitude. I didn't really hear to much but I did know she was one of those people that tried to pull a "race card" basically making it seem to be what it wasn't like Noemi was just being racist that's why she was upset but clearly it wasn't that the lady was just already upset and something else and brought it with her to the restaurant! Noemi was a great server and 10000/10 recommend

We chose the wrong day for our first visit. It was a Tuesday mid-morning (10:00am). There was no one at the register and no hostess ( we were told she didn't show). There was a couple waiting to be seated. They had entered the restaurant before we entered the parking lot. After waiting a few minutes I asked the woman how long she had been waiting. It had been ten minutes. The restaurant was not that full. It was several minutes later before someone seated the couple and a couple of minutes longer to seat us. They have a large menu with lots of options for breakfast. As we had entered the restaurant there was a large sign which advertised a Steak and egg breakfast for $12.99, Mon - Fri. The prices in comparison to Dennys were comparable. My husband ordered the 2 egg combo with Ham, potatoes, and toast for $15.39. The ham steak was thick and very large. The potatoes were abundant. He commented about the potatoes being under done and the second half of his ham was a bit fatty. I ordered the 2 egg combo with chicken fried steak with gravy, hash browns, and a biscuits for $15.99. The biscuit has real butter and honey accompanying it. The chicken fried steak was well done with the right amount of gravy. The hash browns were good. The biscuit was HUGE. It was tender but kept falling apart. Whether using my fingers or the fork it was hard to get the biscuit to the mouth. I will definitely return to try other menu items.
