Best Waffle House I've ever been to--and I'm kind of a Waffle House connoisseur! We stopped here during a road trip looking for a quick meal, and it was absolutely worth it. Honestly, other Waffle House locations should train their staff based on the team at this restaurant. Our server, Lalique ("Lalo"), was one of the kindest and most attentive servers we've ever had. She never let our drinks get low, checked on us often without being overbearing, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She deserves a raise! Our cook, Kiana, made the best Waffle House meal I've ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly, fresh, and delicious. I've never had anyone make the hash browns the way she did, and it should be the standard. They were perfectly cooked all the way through, with all the toppings evenly distributed throughout. She even chopped up the jalapeños, which I've never had anyone do before but have always wished they would. She deserves a raise too! These two young women clearly take pride in their work, and it showed in every part of our experience. On top of the outstanding service and food, the restaurant--including the bathrooms--was exceptionally clean. We'll definitely be stopping here again whenever we're passing through. This particular location is just off of Interstate 10. Walking in, the place makes me remember my many visits to various Waffle House locations. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never had a waffle in a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try. read more

Waffle House has that ol' American diner feel. The service is usually great and this location was great the grits here was not as dry as the other location. I have been both an employee and a customer of the Walden Road Store #1446 Waffle House for a grand total of 18 years now, 4 of the former and 14 of the latter. But to this day, I still stop in for breakfast. You simply cannot go wrong with a pecan waffle and country ham or the Fiesta omelet with raisin toast and grits! Over the years, this location has had its highs and its lows. I'd say they are currently in their highs, with a friendly staff who provides good overall service and keeps the restaurant fairly clean. Walden Road also has an "Rockstar" grill operator, who has been there for several years now (shout out to Paul!). For those not familiar with the Waffle House Grill Operators program, a Rockstar is amongst the highest ranking grill op in the program. Paul is always good-humored, yet focused and whips up Good Food Fast every time. It's always a pleasure to walk in and know my food is in good hands. Another poor service experience. There are 7 employees, and nobody is bussing the 7 empty tables that people are waiting for. Payment line is stacked 3 deep. Confusion abounds The crew don't seem to be working very well together. I ordered the all-star breakfast. When the food arrived (about 25 minutes later) my plate had eggs and grits on it. That's it. Waitress asked if I had ordered toast. I mentioned that toast came with the all-star, but that I'd be fine with the carbs in the waffle. The thinnest waffle I've ever encountered arrived about 5 minutes later. It was undercooked. Waitress didn't check back until delivering the bill, so it wasn't until the end of my meal that I could tell her that I was still waiting on the bacon. Things got better after that, because we paid and left. This particular location runs hot and cold. Others diners were noticably upset. It looked like the A-team reinforcements were arriving as we departed. read more

So to start off on a positive note the past 2 times i have been here have been delightful. But this time we were coming in to get a waffel and some bacon to go, and the waffel came out UNDERCOOKED and i was getting 3 pices of bacon but i got 1 and a half in PICES! The lady who was putting in our order was very nice but was more interseted in talking to other people it took 15-20 minutes to get our food. I just don't know how they would look at a undercooked waffel and serve it its not like it was busy only about 4 or 5 people most of which had already been served. The food has been consistently good the service sometimes is not so good because of some of the customers Ilehich are very rude to the serving staff there they treat them like they are beneath them by African-American customers that come in there, meaning that they treat the white stuff behind the counter like they're insulting them by asking a simple question they ask every customer! I've actually had to take out my camera one day to record some African American lady going off on a white lady because she asked a simple question, nobody in the place defended her and I felt it was a horrible injustice to this woman who has been there for years and was one of the hottest workers there, and was still polite to the lady regardless and the lady still behaved inappropriately! I give her a lot of credit for being so tolerant to this lady I would gladly recommend this place to anyone because the stuff is outstanding and very patient and the food is always on time! This waffle house is right next to I 10 across the street from Tallahassee cow museum this is my go to waffle house always will be after that day and after seeing what that woman went through and she still works there today God bless her and the stuff that works there! read more

Showed it to the waitress, she took it to the back and I guess showed it to the manager, came back offered to remake it which I didn't want. Breakfast this morning, arrived at 8:15, restaurant was fairly busy. Set at a booth and waited and waited and waited. Three gentlemen came in after us, set at the counter. Our waitress by the name of April promptly waited on them and finally came around to our table. Asked for coffee, and placed order. 15 minutes later had to ask another waitress for our coffee. she promptly delivered. Our orders came out another 10 minutes later. Ordered egg over medium, toast and sausage. Eggs came out scrambled. Sausage came after the toast and egg were already consumed. I don't know if April is in training or what her problem was but the table behind us also said this is ridiculous. I do want to give high praise to Dawn, she was cooking, cleaning tables, waitressing and running the cash register. 6/24, my friend asked to eat here during a trip. I ordered a salad for 6.55 and my friend had the $6.00 meal with an extra egg, was suppose to come with a free drink. No drink was provided and we were charge $19.68. When we asked for a receipt we were told they don't give itemized receipts. So I asked about the charge break down, she said that the salad was 8.75 and I showed her on the table menu that it was 6.55 she pulled an menu from under the counter and said it was really 8.75. And for the $6.00 meal, we were told after the fact that an extra egg is 3.60 and the price is on the same menu behind the counter. This is a case for the Attorney General's Office.
