And now we present your dinner! Finally we were able to eat dinner at Ma's and were not disappointed. I had the fried chicken dinner with garlic mash potatoes and Brussels. Everything was hot and juicy. The chicken was so crispy on outside yet moist on inside. Sides were great. My husband had the meatloaf dinner and loved it. He also had the Brussels and choose fries instead of my mash. The meatloaf was a generous portion and filled with yummy flavor. Now waiting for dessert to be added to the menu. We will be back to try more dinner options.

Great service the best breakfast spot in Tallahassee. Staff was very friendly. Food was on point.

I love the vibe: it's like a small town diner. A lot of regulars; people who know each other stopping by each others tables; an owner who not only chats with everyone but does whatever is needed, be it bussing a table, seating a customer, or serving food. In short: a great neighborhood diner. The food was good, but nothing exciting or exceptional. The breakfast choices aren't extensive, but they cover many breakfast standards. I had a breakfast platter that had 2 eggs (I asked for scrambled), a Bradley's sausage patty, biscuit and grits. The eggs were cooked well. The sausage patty was tasty, I only wish that it wasn't paper thin. The biscuit was also good and I was told it was homemade. The grits, however, were a disappointment. They were tasty, but way too soupy. There was nothing creamy about them, as though they had too much water and were not cooked long enough. It was good, basic breakfast food in a lively environment with very attentive service.

Ma's is such a wholesome, "feels like home" diner. I got a 4 eggs scramble with a hot link and bacon. It was perfect! Hit the spot in all the ways, leaving me full and happy. Price was solid too. Oh and also, they're right by crumbl cookies. Just in case you want to grab one for the road.

Cool little place. They have a sign that says "No WiFi Just Hifi". A record player playing albums sits behind the bar. Our server, Stephanie, was as sweet as she could be. The coffee was delicious and I like that they have cute little reusable creamer containers. Now for the bad news... My scrambled eggs were dry, the toast was too toasted and the cheese grits were too thick. Presentation was very Waffle House-esque- Throw it on a plate with no regard for presentation. But its a diner so I guess that's what they're going for. I'm not sure if I'll return. They were quite busy so that's a good sign. Maybe I should give them another try.

We love Ma's Diner. It's a place my in-laws always want to visit when they're in town. Simple, fast, and delicious. Today I remembered to take a picture of my kid's order. Everything I've ever ordered is great!

We'll be back for sure!! Our waiter was AWSEOME! He carried a dinosaur with him and was just very attentive. It seems like a place where one can become a regular.

Since writing the aforementioned review we have frequented Ma's mostly to-go but ate in today. Our server, Stephanie, has served us before and thankfully served us again today. She is so friendly and attentive. The hostess was also friendly (Alyssa) and chatted with my daughter about their mutual high school experiences. Ma's is an experience that makes you nostalgic and feel at home.

Liked the Caesar Salad, Filet Mignon and Pasta, the Salmon is very flavorful and a slight Mediterranean flair given the orzo w/feta is wonderful. Good wine-beer list. There was a standard menu given to us along with specials for the evening. Also notes were wine specials and a decent wine list. Two in our party enjoyed a Pinot Grigio and a Sauvignon Blanc and exclaimed good quality. For starters we got fresh bread that was accompanied by seasoned olive oil and an herbed butter. We also had the flash fried artichokes; recommended these 100%. There were little strips of red bell peppers mixed in and note, when I say "flash fried" I'm talking a lite dusting of a flour batter and super lite fry...no grease. Dinner entrees consisted of the birthday boy ordering the filet, au gratin potato and asparagus. Three of us had the flounder that had tomato confit, artichoke, hearts palm, olives and mandarin oranges. The filet was cooked perfect and extremely tender with the sides paired perfectly. The flounder was exceptional and no plate was left with a morsel to be seen! The dessert menu was hard to choose from but we settled on brownie with sauce and vanilla ice cream and the raspberry cheesecake. Add in a couple of after dinner coffees/espresso the meal was perfect. This restaurant is small but not elbow small. A few tables outside for nice weather occasions and a small bar to seat 3-4 people. Aiden was our server and he did an awesome job; efficient, attentive without being overly hovering with a great sense of humor. We will be back!

My dining companion and I recently visited Olean's Café. This restaurant location has been here…read morefor what seems like forever. Adams Street is a quiet street on this particular Saturday morning around 9:15 am. But inside the restaurant, there is a flurry of activity behind the counter, the aroma of breakfast makes us smile when we enter and there is a line that stretches to the door. Folks are waiting. Few dine in and most are carrying out several to go boxes per person. The prices are reasonable and for the portion size, I would say budget-minded. Get the Olean's omelette. It's generously sized and enough for 3 meals. It looks nothing like a traditional omelette. It reads more like a breakfast casserole. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, veggies and cheese. It's comfort food on a plate. I am so sorry I didn't take a photo to share. I highly recommend this meal option! My dining companion ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and plain grits. My dining companion stated they were the best restaurant grits they'd ever eaten. The bacon was piled high on his plate! He took 1/2 this meal home. Mrs. Olean is behind the counter and just as personable as can be. She sets the tone for hospitality and it shows with her courteous staff. There was ample parking. The dining room is small, probably 10 tables in all. Most seem to be taking bags with their to go containers. Few people leave with one container. We will certainly return for some of their lunch options next.
