When we asked for suggestions on where to grab a delicious fulfilling breakfast in Tallahassee this place was mentioned 3 times. It was recommended that we ordered for takeout due to its popularity and size, so we did. Upon arrival, the parking lot was jampacked, and there were people on the outside waiting for tables. Our order was ready for pickup pretty quickly. The place is tiny and cute on the inside. The lady at the counter was pleasant and welcoming. The food was hot even after making it back home. The food was tasty and well seasoned. Best of all, the food was inexpensive. read more

I really want to love this place - maybe my waitress was having a bad day or new - so I'm going to try again. My order was not correct and I just felt in the way. But the bacon was really good, Definetly going to try again, stay tuned. read more

Congrats to this place for opening EARLY On sundays and opening EARLY. yummy breakfast and pancakes. Loved it!

I had 'lunchbox special breakfast' and my friend has the 'corned beef hash' (see photos for sides). The food was really good! The ambiance is better than most breakfast places, if you enjoy watching the street and sitting outside, there's no better spot than this. It might be harder to recommend for the summer months, but around March-April, the outdoor seating is quite pleasant. The service was a bit slow, but understandable given the crowd. read more

I enjoyed breakfast here with a friend. We had the blueberry pancake and the monster breakfast burrito. Both were excellent as was the coffee. The service was friendly and quick! read more

Luckily found this place. Already ate a crappy breakfast at the hotel so it was great to find this for lunchfast. Atmosphere is cool the singing cook rocks to great music. Got pancake breakfast with blueberry pancakes, grits sausage patties and scrambled eggs. Luckily I saw the younger gentleman eat his breakfast when he made a casserole with everything but the pancakes. It was delicious!!! Thanks for the great food!! read more

This is our favorite breakfast place in Tallahassee. The name inspires the quirky decor of kids' metal lunchboxes hanging from the ceiling and climbing the walls. I've yet to spot the Six Million Dollar Man box I carried in fourth grade but it's probably there somewhere. So far we've ordered the traditional breakfast, egg sandwiches and pancakes on visits. Bacon is perfectly crisp, eggs cooked to order and flavorful coffee from the local chain Lucky Goat kept topped up by attentive wait staff. It's a small diner on the corner of two busy roads -- East Tennessee Street and Magnolia Drive -- with a limited number of parking spaces, so we try to get there early. The overall vibe is one where you know a customer's about to walk in and be greeted by their first name. A few more visits and it might be me. read more

Sad to see this place has only 3.5 stars, all the food we had today was excellent. Blueberry pancakes Corn beef hash Chicken and waffles. Really good food and the service was great and with a big smile. Great prices too! read more

BEST RESTRUANT EVER. so so good food. suoer sweet workers. a great place for kids and pets and big parties!!

Had a breakfast sandwich delivered from the lunchbox. Doordash driver (Edgar) left sandwich at the wrong door and I am quadriplegic. Driver refused to correct after text exchange to correct error. Called the lunchbox less interested. Every other driver has always been able to follow simple instructions. Thought I would try them but it's back to Canopy Rd., Café read more

This is a favorite of mine. Whenever I am in town for breakfast this is a definite go to. Agree with other reviewers it's a dive sort of place but gosh the food is exactly what you look for when going to a dive breakfast place. Think a local Waffle House type place. Service what's always been as expected and the food comes quick. 5 stars are because they deliver exactly what you should expect when you come to a place like this - hot food served to order read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a real gem! It's unfortunate and annoying that people are leaving poor reviews for things that are completely out of the restaurants control, like door dash delivery drivers or the nearby parking. My partner and I showed up right at 6:30 when they opened, and had our choice of table. our service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious. We both got our own omelets and then a stack of blueberry pancakes to share. We got orange juice and iced coffee to drink. Give them a try, and it seems like a good idea to get there early, if you don't want to wait. read more

The service was great. Food was delicious and the coffee was perfect. Not weak and very hot. The guy and the girl that were waiting on the patrons were great. The place could use a little sweeping but I get that like in most place, they are short on staff. read more

Food is good and affordable. Service has always been fabulous. Relaxed atmosphere. Always crowded.

I have been enjoying this establishment since it opened in 1999. This is your hometown, super comfortable place to get a bite. The prices are so great. The food is even better. Today, I ordered the short stack regular, short stack with chocolate chips, two egg breakfasts with Hash browns and toast, and the special with two eggs, bacon, hash Browns, and toast. The server was really friendly and loved the conversations going with all her regulars. The diner is an old gas station and the owner has decorated it with old school lunchboxes. From the outside, it looks tiny. Once inside it really opens up. The cute breakfast mural in the back is fun for pictures with friends and family. Now back to the food, as expected it came out fast, hot and like ordered. The food was tasty and brings memories of family breakfasts. The over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy and not burnt. The hash browns were savory and perfect crisp. The pancakes are sooo goood. I will always come here. The other chain breakfast places have nothing on this place. They don't need to dress it up like Pinterest to get people to come in. The parking lot is always full because it is reliable. You know that good food and good service will happen. read more

I've been a customer for years. However, after yesterdays visit, no more. It used to be a great place for breakfast or lunch. Over the past couple of years, the quality of food and service has diminished tremendously. Yesterday it took right at N hour to get our food, and once it arrived, it was so disappointing. My wife ordered a bacon/cheese omelette. Which has two slices a bacon and a half a slice of cheese folded into the eggs, cheese wasn't even melted. Then there's the check... sticker shock.. lol read more

The customer service is absolutely horrible. Waited over an hour for my food. They didn't put the right things in the bag at the person answering. The phone simply said it wasn't me the baggage it and it was not her problem. And she said I was being a bitch for wanting the right meal. Spoke with the manager who lied and said she didn't say that till I told her or was recorded. She said her son David Rainey was the owner Mr Rainey it's really say this is how ur staff treats customers. read more

Needed something quick & easy to eat while driving on the road, so I got their Monster Wrap cause I figured it's self-contained so it won't be too messy. That's half true, nothing really fell out, but the salsa had some extra juice that dripped out. Overall it was delicious, filling & well worth the price. I was satisfied with just 1/2 the wrap and the side of home fries, but I was stuffed after finishing the other half! They're busy on Saturday mornings, and parking is limited, so I would highly suggest getting your meal to-go. read more

Amazing food & prices . Great place for a casual bite breakfast & lunch. Would recommend to others looking for good food.

Grunge diner. Rounding them up for the obvious Love people seem to have for them and the entertainment of watching the nail-biting nerve-racking traffic and the exceedingly tight haphazard parking out front. Lots of waiting from beginning to end and no refills except as an afterthought after having to chase the check; rubbery French toast that obviously hit the microwave before coming out. Yuck. You'd think they'd of been stock market busy with the wait and un-oiled service but they weren't. Would have been better off staying home. Sucks because I was really looking forward to this place. read more

Service has gone down!. You wait and wait for someone to take your order. The gentleman that's serving tables now doesn't check on you. Doesn't refill your drinks/ water/ ice coffee. I've always wanted to try this place but never got around to it until yesterday. I had the breakfast sandwich and home fries. You can't beat it for $5 bucks. Definitely one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. I got my food to go but I'd imagine you want to get there super early for dining in. The parking lot and the restaurant itself are quite small. The food is definitely worth it though. read more

The food was great. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast Sammy and the biscuits and gravy. However, what sets this place apart is the value pricing. I got that entire order for $5!!! You can't beat that deal. Also, outstanding service. I'll def be going back. read more

I just went to breakfast with my husband and incoming FSU freshman (since this place was recommended on the FSU parent page), and it did not disappoint! It's cute inside, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable! It looks a little sketchy from the outside but don't let that scare you. It was packed so obviously others like it too! read more

Like many have written about Jenny's, it's a Tallahassee institution. I believe it was the first breakfast joint I visited when I moved here many years ago. It possesses the single greatest diner vibe Tallahassee has to offer. To me, that's almost worth everything. As far as the food goes, I'm sticking with A-OK. I can't say I've ever been swept off my feet with a meal here. Nevertheless, it's always a solid thumbs up. The pros of Jenny's are as follows: 1) It's local - support local businesses. 2) Outdoor seating - situated at a very volatile intersection, so it provides you that big city feel. 3) Very inexpensive - you can eat for cheap. read more

Tallahassee: FL: This is a perfectly adequate place. The setup is small, there is a nice mural in the restaurant, and awesome lunchboxes of every style hung up around the place. It's clean and on a Saturday morning, quite busy. The parking lot can get congested so it may be best to figure out when to come when it's not too busy. Food is CHEAP - only $3.00 for one egg, two slices of toast, and choice of a side. The kid's meal was the same price for the same size. All drinks are a simple $2.00 across the border. I enjoyed my meal though my eggs needed a pinch of salt. My home fries were delicious and I appreciated having two large slices of bread. It was not, however, a particularly amazing meal - each element was one I could easily replicate at home. Furthermore, service could be worked on. Our table only got one of the two glasses of milk we ordered and our check was miscalculated. Everyone, however, was sweet which is always appreciated. Ultimately, I'm glad I came here though I'm quite sure I won't be back unless I'm really craving some cheap breakfast food. Perhaps I'll make an exception to try their lunch, which also looks cheap. read more

Came to The Lunchbox on a day when it was not crowded... it usually does. We sat right down and enjoyed a great simple meal. They serve breakfast all day and have a great lunch menu as well. This place was such a cute place for brunch with friends! I ordered the two egg breakfast which came with eggs, potatoes, and toast all for $4! I wanted to add an extra side of avocado, but sadly they were out :( As for the atmosphere, it was a bit small but I think that added to home feeling. They also have vintage lunchboxes hanging from the ceiling which were super cool to look at! All and all, will definitely could back here and recommend it to friends! read more

Decided to finally give this place a try. I was able to walk right in a get a table without having any wait. I had the meat lovers omelette with homefries and cheese grits. The omelette was very good and had lots of meat in it. My homefries were not as hot as I would have like but they were edible and I the grits were just average. I saw pancakes on other people's table and they looked really good, so I will be coming back to try them again. The service was very good and my food was made very quickly.
